When you sing/dance to very old songs

Some people say the songs in Fallout stopped being made in the 1950s, but then in New Vegas are songs that were made in the 60s and some in Fallout 3 from the 80s so, euhm... I'm very confused to how the technology works in Fallout.

Most songs are from 1980s because there are many good songs in that decade.

I normally don't say what songs the MC sings, but I found some songs I could make fun scenarios with.

Codsworth:

It doesn't matter which song you listen to, he will always let out a happy noise and say this makes him think back to the life before the bombs. When you tell him to dance with you, he will chuckle and remind you he cannot dance. All he can do is move his arms, acting as if he's dancing along with you.

Preston:

He will just chuckle and ask where you got these very old records from. He helped you build a shelf so you can store all the records you find on that shelf. Sometimes he will listen to some of them. They go all the way from jazz to rock. When you sing and dance to the music, he will just smile and watch you, enjoying how much fun you are having.

Danse:

You once got excited so you happily sang the song "I'm So Excited" and danced around while making sure you stay on path to the next mission location. Danse just made sure there were no enemies, a bit unhappy you are so loud, but he didn't have the heart to tell you to stop because you looked so excited and he hasn't seen you so happy in a long while. When you take his hand, telling him to dance along, he will let out a nervous chuckle, pulling his hand away and gripping his gun better, saying he doesn't dance. When you danced around him, singing, "I want to love you, feel you, wrap my body around you", his face went bright red and he decided you had enough fun so he covered your mouth, clearing his throat to make sure he won't stutter before he said he thinks he heard enemies so it's best to stay quiet.

Piper:

She didn't know who Billy Joel was so you played his songs. When it got to the "Uptown Girl" song, you sang it to her while holding her hands to guide her along to your weird dancing, singing the lines like "And when she's walking, she's looking so fine-", which always succeeds to make her laugh and jokingly say you can be so embarrassing. When the song "We Didn't Start The Fire" comes on, you will both be shouting the lyrics, trying to see who can successful sing all the lines without messing up. When one of you messes up, both can't help but laugh at it.

Nick:

There is this one song you always manage to embarrass him with, so of course any chance you get, you will begin singing it and dancing to it. Whenever you sing the song "Let's Hear It for the Boy" and hold your hands to him while singing lines like "Let's hear it for my man" or "But he's my lovin' one-man show", he will nervously chuckle and try to hurry away to avoid being embarrassed any further. When you tug his coat, singing the line "And maybe he don't dress fine", he will give you unimpressed eyes as he pulls his coat away from you and says it's just a bit torn, nothing a few stitches can't fix.

Hancock: (I discovered this song while playing Far Cry 4)

You were singing along to "Should I Stay or Should I Go", dancing a little to the beat, just doing your thing. When suddenly two arms wrapped around your waist from behind and Hancock snickered out you should definitely stay before he turned you around and both danced together. In other words: if you dance and sing, he will sneak up on you, give you a kiss before dancing along with you.

Cait:

Sometimes in the morning, you will sing the song "Good Morning" from Dancing in the Rain, trying to get yourself pumped for another exhausting day of doing missions and killing. Cait isn't a morning person, so when she hears you singing, she will groan and tell you not to sing. When you say it's to try and wake up better for the adventure you both are gonna have, she will just mumble stuff as she ignores you, not in the mood to deal with singing first thing in the morning.

Strong:

Suddenly the song 99 Luftballons came in your head so you began humming it which made Strong glance but he chose to ignore it. That was till you began singing it loudly and doing movements as if you are slamming sticks on a drumset. So Strong asked you what you are doing. When you told him you suddenly remembered this song, but he shook his head and mocked your hand movements so you couldn't help but laugh as you told him what a drumset is and that you are acting as if you are playing the drums. He simply nod, thinking you are going insane.

Maccready: (I have been obsessed with this song ever since I watched The Umbrella Academy)

You found a record on the floor so you played it, curious to what songs were on this thing. When it played "I Think We're Alone Now", you couldn't help but dance and sing along. Maccready immediately became nervous, saying enemies will hear while looking outside, telling you to turn that down and focus. But when you softly put your hands on his cheeks and made him look at you, softly singing along to the music, "I think we're alone now, doesn't seem to be anyone around." He began feeling less stressed and watched as you let go before continuing to dance. When you held out your hand, wanting him to join, he wanted to deny but seeing you so happy and relaxed made him take your hand and join. He wasn't the best dancer, he was very stiff, clearly not confident in his moves and very shy dancing in front of you. When the song played the line, "then you put your arms around me-", he couldn't help but wrap his arms around you and sway you both, saying he hasn't felt this relaxed in a long time so he's thankful to you for this fun moment.

Deacon:

He will either watch and chuckle as you sing and dance around, or he will join in the dancing. It really depends on what song and how he feels. When you almost trip, he is quick to catch you and laugh out to be careful before he holds your hands for the rest of the dance so if you trip again, he can easily help you stand again. If it's a good song, he will curiously ask how you know about this song and claim it's very good and he's definitely gonna listen to this song again tomorrow.

Curie:

She will smile and watch you having fun before curiously asking how you know this very old song. So you told her you listened to it before the war a lot, she nod, saying this song must bring back many songs then. So the rest of the trip was you telling her about before the war and the songs you always listened to back then. When you were done, she happily said she hopes she finds all those records so you can listen to those songs again.

X6-88:

He will tell you not to be so loud or enemies will come and you are both low on ammo. When you say he doesn't know how to have fun, he will tell you he isn't here to have fun. When you gave him unimpressed eyes, saying he should learn how to have fun, he will claim he doesn't see how singing to a song is fun. You decided to shut down the music and just walk in silence, not in the mood to deal with him.

Dogmeat:

No matter what song from what decade you play, if you dance, he will also dance. If you sing, he will happily wag his tail, staying silent not to interrupt.

King:

He always listens to the damn same song in his building, so you dragged him from his building and made him listen to the New Vegas Radio so he can hear some other songs besides his Elvis Presley the whole time. At some songs, will both dance together, just having fun and laughing. He will twirl you around before pulling you closer, saying he's happy you made him listen to these new songs because these are very catchy. So you gave him a kiss, saying you were glad to do it because his song was beginning to drive you insane with how he kept playing the same thing 24/7. When he catches you mumbling the lyrics, too busy too notice you are doing it, he will chuckle but not point it out, not wishing to embarrass you.

Butch:

He was once trying to break into the Vault storage room, only to freak out when radroaches came scattering out so he ran to you and dragged you along. You entered first as he hid behind you, nervously clenching a baseball bat. When you hurried to a shelf and pulled down a box, he curiously looked before forgetting all about the radroaches and excitedly pulling out the records in the box, asking if there is something that can play these. So you both searched for a record player then spend many hours listening to various rocks songs from different rock bands. When he noticed you bobbing your head along to the music, he would have made fun of you, but he was also doing it so he decided to stay shut and just enjoy the music. When you both finished listening to the songs, he angrily ranted about how he's angry the Vault kept these hidden and how amazing they are and he's definitely keeping these.

Sorry if this chapter was written badly, I don't know why, but writing this chapter seemed really difficult and I have no clue why.
