When you become addicted to drugs/alcohol

Codsworth:

He will nervously say you seem to be taking those things a lot, worriedly asking you if you're feeling okay. When you lay on some random spot, staring up at the sky, he will worry a lot, asking you what you're doing. When you said thinking about all the people you lost and killed, he will apologize before leaving so you can be alone with your thoughts. He can't do much besides try to convince you to get some help.

Preston:

He will frown, telling you you don't need those and assuring you he is here for any issues you are going through. When you try to drink or do drugs, he is quick to take it, telling you this won't solve anything before asking you why you're doing this. When you opened your arms, telling him to look around him, he sighed before he said he knows how cruel this world is and that you're going through a lot, but you need help, not an addiction. So he watches you very closely, making sure you don't do drugs or drink, talking to you three times a day to talk about problems you have, things you wish to rant about, about whatever you wish to talk, he will listen and try to help.

Danse:

He will strictly tell you to stop it before sighing out that he can't believe he has a lover who is addicted. When you get violent, he will hug you from behind, crossing your arms and tightly holding your hands so you can't reach for a weapon or throw a punch, telling you to not attack him or any innocent people while forcing you to sit on the ground, saying you're overreacting and need to calm down right now. When you break down in tears and cuddle to him, he will slowly let go of your hands before wrapping his arms around you, whispering the Brotherhood of Steel has some good doctors so please let them help you. When you cried out you need time to think, he nod, not pressuring you. So when you came to him, saying you want help, he couldn't help but feel proud, a smile growing on his face as he said he's very proud and happy you are willing to accept help and fix this.

Piper:

She will worry, saying you should see a doctor. When you're in denial, claiming it's only once a month so no need to get a doctor, she will give you upset eyes, whispering you do it every single day. When you huff and say one of your family members did more than this, she will frown and say no matter how much you do it, it doesn't change the fact that it is bad for you. When you finally agreed to accept help, she supported you the whole time, feeling awful whenever you got withdrawal symptoms. When you puked, she would cringe but rub your back, saying you're doing a good job and you just have to keep it up a bit longer and then you're clean.

Nick:

He won't lie, he will tell you how awful you look, claiming you look as if you climbed out of a gutter. One day, he was walking through Diamond City, searching for you when he spot you talking to some suspicious person. He didn't have to question, he knew what was going on, you were buying drugs. He was quick to rush over, taking your arm, taking the drugs from your hand before throwing it at the person, telling them to scram before he calls the guards. When the person ran away, Nick gave you a glare, asking you if you haven't had enough of this dangerous stuff before he took you back home, saying he has had enough and is getting you proper help.

Hancock:

He will advice you to slow down on the drugs and drinking. When you refused, he will frowned, trying to take the drugs/alcohol only to curse and shout when you tried to punch him. But it gave him an idea. He took you to some random spot before handing you a bat, telling you to destroy everything and shout about whatever you want to shout about. So while you slammed everything with a bat, screaming about all the terrible things you have gone through, he ignored the pain he felt in his chest from hearing his lover having gone through such things and focused on making sure no enemies come over. When you were done, panting and sweating, he couldn't help but laugh, asking you if you feel better. When you nod, he took the bat back, saying if you ever feel like doing drugs again or drinking to get rid of problems, just come here and smash some things instead, it's way better than putting those dangerous things in your body.

Cait:

She was furious. You have seen what an addiction has done to her, how she struggled with it, and now you're doing it. She was furious, till you broke down and cried out all the terrible things you have, the amount of things you have murdered, how you just wanted to live a peaceful life with your wife/husband and your son 200 years ago, then she began feeling sorry for you, slowly understanding why you turned to drugs and drinking for help. She wiped your tears, saying you can both go to Vault 95 and get you clean. When you tried to refuse, she said it's for your own good before taking your hand and walking to the direction of Vault 95.

Strong:

He will shout drugs and alcohol bad before complaining they make you weak and act weird before taking your booze and drugs and throwing it far away. When you try to run to it, he will pick you up and say you're acting weird before walking to where the next quest is, ignoring your shouting and swinging of your limbs.

Maccready:

He will be mad. He already lost many people, he definitely doesn't need you to die because of an overdose or alcohol poisoning. He huffed and sarcastically asked if you love drugs and drinking more than him. He expected you to ignore him, or tell him to fuck off, so he could feel his heart break when he saw your mouth form the letters "dr". He knew you weren't in the right state of mind right now, but still, seeing you wanting to say you love drugs/drinking more than him and actually mean it, it broke his heart. He couldn't help but whisper he needs to go do something before he left in a hurry, trying to hold back his tears. After a lot of thinking and mentally shouting at himself that a good boyfriend would never walk out the room when their lover is addicted to something, but he already struggled with his own issues and now he has to deal with you. At one point his mind went to thinking he should just end it all, but when you walked in and sat aside him, putting your head on his shoulder, drunkly mumbling you are sorry and didn't mean it, he gave you a smile, whispering he knows and he will help you the best he can.

Deacon:

He frowned, saying he was once addicted so he knows how awful it is so you should stop. When you pointed at him, angrily saying you don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth anymore, he gave you a frown, saying he isn't lying so calm down and get some help. When you pass out, he will sigh and carry you to bed, mumbling you're heavy when passed out before dropping you on your bed and tucking you in, mumbling he hopes you get better one of these days. He tried his best to stay calm, knowing that getting annoyed with you will only make you defensive. When you cried out he hates you, he assured you he doesn't and cuddled you, whispering he just doesn't like how you're ruining your own body with this booze and drugs. After a long silence, you asked if you stop, will the pain still be there. He forced a smile, saying the pain will always be there, you have to grow stronger to feel it less, but it will never go away. When you whispered you want to get better and become stronger, he gave you a passionate kiss, happily saying he would be honored to help you with that.

Curie:

She will name what addictions do to your body, telling you people who were addicted and all ended up dead. When you pick up a random drug or alcohol you find in some abandoned place, she will take it, telling you you can get disease if you use this before suggesting you stop this immediately before you overdose, a disease, cancer or get alcohol poisoning. When you drop a hobby you love, she will worriedly tell you she doesn't think this is wise and you should keep doing your hobby.

X6-88:

He won't hesitate to admit that you look awful and need to find some help. When you can't sleep at night, he will tell you it is your own fault and that this is because of the alcohol and drugs before advicing you to still at least try to sleep or you will regret it in the morning. While on an adventure and you think you heard something even though there is nothing, he will frown before saying your addiction is interfering with the quests so try to stop this or you will get shot during a battle with how quick you're to be paranoid and how you can barely even concentrate.

Dogmeat:

He's a dog, he can't do much besides lay aside you, giving you comfort. Sometimes when you're about to drink or do drugs, he will steal it and run away before burying it so you can't find it.

King:

He has seen many addicted stumble into Freeside and Strip and leave even more addicted than when they entered. So when you become addicted, he knows this place is not a place you need to be, because around every corner you can find booze and drugs. He will advice you to go the Followers, where they can help you. When you refuse, he will keep advicing you, only to curse and stumble back when you tried to punch him, angrily yelling for him to stop pressuring you. So he took another approach, one he wished he didn't have to do, he knocked you out and carried you to the Followers. He gave your forehead a kiss, saying this is for your own good.

Butch:

His mother is almost always drunk, so he knows how to take care of you when you get drunk. He's not very sure what to do when you get high, so he will just follow you, making sure you are okay and don't do anything stupid. He will try to encourage you to stop. He's never mad at you, even when you throw something at him or try to punch him, he will still not get mad. He's just unable to get mad at you when he sees you looking so messed up. The furthest he comes to being mad is getting annoyed when you throw something and shouting that cost a lot before cleaning it up.
