The Next Day

Scarlet's POV

 I woke up to Serenity on the side of her bed, looking down.  Sigh she must be thinking about what happened yesterday. "Oi Serenity!" I called out to her, waking her up from her thoughts. " Oh hey Scarlet." she smiles. "Did I wake you?"  "Nah, But are you ok? Just don't think about that wand thing from the other day. Not everyone can use magic off the bat." I try to reassure her.  " It fine Scarlet. Now come on, You don't wanna ruin your perfect attend right?" She coaxes me." Alright, let's go. Don't threaten my perfect attends. " I joke getting ready.

    We finally made it to class only to see the homeroom teacher not here yet. Leon greets us like a royal person would. "So where the crazy one at?" I asked the fur ball. His expressions look annoyed. "Tch, probably looking for my collar," he growls. "Huh?" now noticing the collar he had was missing.  "Well there's Lucky" Serenity points out through the window.  Sure enough, there was Lucky in the courtyard looking through bushes. I facepalm at the sight and looked at Leon who was on his way out. "I wonder what happened?" I ponder aloud walking over to my seat.  "Lucky took Leon's collar out of curiosity. It ended with them arguing and Lucky tripped.The collar flew out the window." Hoshi explains bluntly from behind me. I leap back as Serenity greet her. What in the world. That girl needs a bell on her or something."Well good morning, Clas-...oh its just the three of you eh?" Ms Z sigh as she slams down into her chair. "Well good to see you too, I guess." I roll my eyes. "Anyways where're the other students?" She asked looking around. "Ah just move on without them.I'm sure they'll be alright. " I suggested and she accepted it. " Alright so today is mana control with your first spell. Levito is a basic type of wind magic used for lifting objects into the air," she explains handing everyone a wand. " Now these are practice wands. Your real wands will choose you when the time is right." she continues at the front while placing a few apples in front of us. I shrug it off and let her continue on with the lesson. "Alright to begin. You have to pretend you want to lift something up. Once you picture it, focus your mana on the tip of the wand." Ms.Z explains. Well that's stupid. I look over to Serenity who's eyes were closed looking hard trying to focus on this spell on the apple in front. "Once you do that, try drawing this symbol using the wand in the air chanting Levito!" She continues as she draws it on the board. "Ah Alright. Here we go, Levito! " Serenity chants as she draws the symbol. Of course, nothing happened. "Aww man." She sighs. "Well try again." I grin.

After Serenity's second failed attempt, Leon walks in carrying Lucky by her scarf. "Yo." Lucky gives us a cheeky smile and peace signs. "Are we late?" Leon asked fixing his cat collar around his neck. "Haha nah, you guys are just in time for Levito practice."Ms.Z grins throwing them each a practice wand. Leon catches it with elegance while Lucky stubble with the wand as she was dropped by furball. "Heh, easy. I simple levitating spell. "Leon grins walking over to his desk. "Well, you try if it's sooo easy."I taunt. He growls and holds up the wands and continues to do the steps. After saying the chant, he points at the apple. An orange outlining of magic surrounds the apple as it was lifted in the air, corresponding to Leon's hand movements.  " Hehe see easy. " The furbag grins with pride. "Congrats give the cat a prize. " I say sarcastically as I slow clap. I look over to see Serenity still trying to do the spell with no luck. "Ahh! Come on apple please float." She shouts waving her arms around.  "Ok. So Just do what Leo did?" Lucky asked gazing at the wand.  Ms. Z nods. "Correct. Might wanna hurry up with the practice since the class is over in 70 minutes. " She explains while looking the clock. I look over to Lucky who takes a deep breath like Serenity before drawing the symbol. "Yutah Levito!" she chants pointing at the apple. Out from the magic circle, a fireball shoots out and burns the apple and the desk to ashes. "Oops..Sorry." Lucky bows her head rapidly. AHH ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?HOW DO YOU MESS UP THAT BADLY!? I quickly grab the fire extinguisher and put the fire out with Serenity and Hoshi's help. Leon and Ms. Z facepalm. "How...Why would you say Yutah? All you say was the spell name and that's all. AND STOP CALLING ME LEO." Leon hiss glaring at her.  "Hehe sorry. I'm thinking of a catchphrase. Something cool to say when I use an attack, Leo. " She smiles as the teacher takes the wand. "OK, that's enough practice for you," she mutters as she takes a seat. She then points to me and Hoshi."Why not give it a try, Scarlet and you new girl."  " Well. Fine." I mutter taking my place in front of the apple.

I take a breath and focus my mana into the point of the wand like I did the other day in the fight. "I want this apple to do as I command so now I say"I whisper under my breath as I draw the magic circle with the symbol. "Levito!" I pointed the wand at the apple and soon enough It was lifted up to the ceiling. I smirk at my progress along with Serenity's smiling at me.  "Great job Scarlet. " Ms. Z claps before looking at Hoshi who was next. "So do you understand what to do?" I asked her as she stares at the practice wand.  Hoshi draws the magic circle and chants the spell. All the apples were lifted into the air. "Whoa! Sweet Hoshi. Looks like you got the handle of this." Serenity praise. "I guess so" she shrugs placing the apples down. "To think you would get it so quickly. Well then I guess you guys don't have to really practice. " Leon comments. "Well now that done I have a mission for you guys. Its pretty easy." Ms. Z hold up a slip of paper. "Mission?" We all look at her. " Well because of the damage from the first day, you guys have to pay back that money for the cost of repair. By taking in missions, you'll be able to pay faster and to help with practicing your magic spells." she explains with a smile. "So what's the mission?" furball asked taking the sheet of paper. "It's simple. Just run this star fruit cart for an hour and done." she explains. "Race you there." Lucky screams running outside. "Oi! You don't even know where it's at!" shouts Leon running after her. I burst into laughter seeing them run off. "Leon must really care about the leader role, eh?" I commented nugging Serenity's shoulder. "Yea. so let's get going,yea?" she smiles taking the map from the teacher. I could tell she was feeling down from what happened with the spells. I gotta cheer her up. 

Aimii's POV

Everything feels cold inside. This lab, I can't stay here anymore. I'm sick of being confined here, I have to get out of here. "Aimii, you had me so worried you know."Father grins looking at me with his cold eyes. "I don't want this anymore," I mutter. He grabs my arm."What did you say?!" He glares, pulling me closer to his face. " I want to...explore that world not being stuffed up in here." I rebel pushing him away. "Tch those kids. You spent too much time with them. I guess I have to get rid of them." he grins. "Leave them alone. Those humans did nothing to me. I decided this on my own. That feeling of having a friend, I wanted to feel at once more." I reply, defending them.

....a week ago.

I dashed through the long hallway towards the light at the end. "Aimii, don't go. The doctor will be angry!" calls the assistant. I look back and shoot a glare, watching the human run after me. Humans what terrible creatures. Only caring about self, trying to use me for their greed. No more I refused to be used by humans. As soon as I made it to the outside world, I quickly closed the door behind me and sealed it. The breeze flows through my hair. Holding my hair away from my eyes I could see the grassy hills and below I could spot  a city below. What is a city exactly?

After a week of traveling by foot, I reached the inner part of the Takaya Town. Bursting with life. A sense of feeling safe...but for how long will this last? How long can I keep running? I look at the clock on my wrist and looked up and sigh. Not long after I met Leon Ly and then from there, I met the other. They called me their...'friend'. They even tried to help me to fight the doctor but...after what I did to them. I tried not to kill them.

"Do you think they'll still accept you after what you did? You belong to me because I created you." father argues. "No I refuse to do any of your bidding! I want to be free from you and gain feelings like humans. Like a normal girl." I shout swiping my arm in front of me and turn my hand into a knife. Father sighs. "This rebellion isn't good. I guess I have to kill the root of the problem. Those so-called Friends of yours." he grabs me and starts reprogramming me. NO! I don't want to hurt them. Everything goes black.

Serenity's POV

We all make it to the marketplace where our mission was suppose to me. "Alright so let's try to attract some consumers," Scarlet announced rolling up her sleeves. "But what about Lucky and Leon? " Hoshi questions. "Ah forget about them. They'll come later." She replies rolling her eyes. In the corner of my eye, I spot cotton candy hair walking down a path in the marketplace. "Aimii?" I mutter to myself before taking off to check. I pushed through the crowd trying to follow the pink and blue fusion ponytail that bounce as the figure walked. "Aimii!" I called out to her before getting knocked down. I look up to see Aimii standing over me. "Hey Aimii." I smiles. Woosh. I was greeted with a  Aimii's hand which turned into a blaster in my face. "Huh?!" I shiver. "Is something wrong? Its me, Serenity." I asked trying to keep my cool. "Target found. destroy." she says in a robot like tone as she powers up the weapon. I closed my eyes, my body unable to move from the fear. " Serenity!" shouts a familiar. I look up to see that Scarlet had grab my arm and started running with me. "What the heck happened? What did you do to piss her off?" she shouts at me. Hoshi ran alongside us and looks to me for an answer. "I don't know.All I said was a simple hi. "I explained as we turn a corner. Looking back Aimii had fired a blast at the building nearby, making fires.  I snatched my hand from Scarlet. "We have to find out what happened to her." I suggested looking at Aimii marching our way. "Are you trying to get killed?" Scarlet exclaims in disbelief as we stopped. Aimii stops and slowly turned her head to the side but before she could make a complete head turn, she was hit by a flaming fist that sent her flying into a building. The fist came out from a another building nearby."Oi, Lucky! Stop causing destruct-" Leon had just came into the scene and stops to look at the horrors. "Sorry Leo-kun. I had a bad feeling." Lucky gets into attack position igniting her fist into flames once more. "What happened?" the cat boy questions walking through the building Lucky destroyed over to us. "I don't know. Aimii started acting crazy." Scarlet replies.

Aimii gets back up and turn her other hand into a blaster and walk towards us. "Targets locked on." she mutters aiming her blaster towards our way. "Hehe I guess this makes round two." Lucky cheers jumping around.  "Lucky stay focus. This time, stay out of my way." Leon commands summoning up his wind magic. "Aww no fun. I want in." she sighs. I stayed back behind Scarlet who readies her wand. "Just keep Hoshi safe. Ok." she asked me as Aimii fires at Lucky and Leon. I simply nodded and stayed  by Hoshi as if she was about to fight. Leon was the first to charge in, his outfit changing into his combat one. He pulls out his wand and leaps up. Lucky had also done the same."Fire fist!" she chants trying to punch Aimii but to no avail, Aimii grabs her arm and toss her into Leon, making them crash. Scarlet stood there, muttering something and aimed her wand at the ground. Then a earth golem rises up and Scarlet motions for it to charge at Aimii. 'What?!" we all shout. However Aimii blast a hole into the golem and it turn back into dust. "Kuso. I worked hard on learning that." Scarlet complains. Leon starts yelling at Lucky who just smiles before running back to fight Aimii. Why don't they just work together. If they did, maybe they could take down Aimii. "Aimii, what's wrong with you?" Leon tries to reason with her. She continues firing blast of sound at us which causes us to get blown back. Lucky grips the ground to prevent her from getting blown back and Leon had a barrier around him. However Scarlet  and the rest of us were blown back into the fruit cart we were assigned to guard.

Leon's Pov
 
Tch, Why is Aimii attacking us?I continue walking, using a wind barrier to keep me from getting blown back like the others. I aim my wand at Aimii. Of course a stubborn girl decides to get in the way of my aim as she rapidly and blindly throws punches at Aimii. Sigh. Will she just listen to my orders  and stay back like the other girls. "Lucky! Stand down."I call out to her. Ignoring me,she burst her feet into flames and tried swinging kicks at Aimii. Aimii dodges and blast right at Lucky's chest, sending her flying back. While getting up she charges towards Aimii once more, she trips, falling on her face. "Oh gesh. Lucky just leave it to me." I groan. I aim my wand once more and took my shot, blasting a swirl of wind. Right as I do Lucky wines,"I don't wanna stand down." as she gets in the way of my shot. The bullet-shaped wind ricochets off her scarf and she continues to throw more useless punches at Aimii. Aimii grabs Lucky's scarf and swings her into a building. Sigh reckless little girl. Aimii starts making her way to me, getting myself ready, I fired off a round of wind blast. She leaps around and dodges before reaching 2 feet from my face aiming her cannon at me.Without warning it blasted the sound or a car horn, scaring me to death. I leap as high as a cat Anima could, my instinct telling me to run away, however I refuse. Looking back as I land I see Serenity right behind me.Aimii aims her sound cannons at us."I won't let you guys fight alone.There has to be something I can do." she asked, holding on to my shoulder. Wait maybe there is a way. "It's true, she's gaining more power when the volume of her attacks increase. " Hoshi explains. "Serenity, can you find something that can reflect  the sound waves back at her?" I reply, getting ready for Aimii next attack. With that she nods , handing me earplugs and falls back with Hoshi and Scarlet. But I need another set seeing how I have two set of ears. 

Aimii pulls put a knife and starts winging it at me, I use the wind barrier to block the attacks. She puts more force into her swing but it looked as if she was holding back a little. "Aimii, you really don't have to fight you know. I mean if you wanted to come back to the school, then you should. Don't let anyone stop you from being you." I continue, dodging and blocking her attacks. "Shut up. You don't know anything. I'm not human!" she shouts aiming her cannon at me.She blasts supersonic waves my way. There was no way I could dodge as my cat ears burn with pain as the high frequency attack them. My cat ears flatten as I tried my best to cover them. All the glass in the buildings surrounding us breaks.  In the corner of my eye, I spot the scientist from last time. He smiles seeing us struggle. Serenity steps in front of us holding  a piece of masonry and she had... wings?

Serenity's POV

I just can stand watching them fight anymore. I look through the rubble to find anything that could absorb sound waves. I couldn't find anything nor did I know what to look for. Lucky walks over wearing glasses and her goggles were on her head rather than her neck. "Maybe I can help find what you're looking for." She bends down to my level. I explain to her that I was looking for something to absorb sound waves. "Ah won't find something like that here." She laughs folding her arms. WHAT?! She holds her finger up. "But with you can build something that can absorb sound. "She explains grabbing broken wood, some type of fabric, and some foam. I just watched her go to work. The little pouch she had, she kept pulling out tools that look way to big to fit inside one pouch. After only 5 minutes she comes back with a makeshift acoustic foam I usually see in the music room. Amazing.  "Here I believe you can take it to Mr.Cat. I'm gonna stay over here. Lucky needs to take a break. " she stretches before walking away. That was weird, however, I snap out of it and dash toward Leon. Aimii had just aimed her cannon on him. Oh no I gotta get there fast. Aero. That word enters my head. Is it a spell? I pull out my practice wand and focused before chanting the word. I felt as if nothing happened as I open my eyes. To my surprise, I was in the air using wings."Serenity? !"Scarlet shouts in shock. No time to think about it as I use those wings to head towards Leon. I want to help him fight.

The supersonic waves she blasted out were absorbed and blasted back at Aimii.I made it in time and grab Leon in the process. I flew upwards as Aimii was blasted back.  I landed next to Scarlet. "Nice You learned a new spell." She smiles. "No time for that right now." Leon points at Aimii getting back up holding her arm cannon; which was broken. "We only got one shot at this. Shooting the spot on Aimii side." Lucky chines in wearing those glasses still. We all look back to see Lucky sitting on a piece of the building fixing her glasses. "Oi, quit staring and get going. Like I said we only got one shot at this." she points to Aimii trying to fix herself. "Yea she's right. Serenity, think you can fly me over to her while I take the shot," he ask. I simply pick him up and start to fly as fast as I could towards Aimii. Leon aims his wands and chants a spell. A blast of wind strikes Aimii's weak spot and she falls down.  We all gave a breath of relief. "Uh, what happened?" Lucky takes off her glasses and runs over to Aimii. "Stop getting in my way brats!" shouts the scientist from an airship above.  "Stay away from Aimii!" I shout hovering in front of them.  With that, the guy leaves and we all crowd around Aimii, who was sparking like crazy. 

We followed Leon to his house since he said that his sister is an excellent nurse. The moment his sister spots us coming in, she ruses out with a medkit. "This way," she orders leading us to the small makeshift infirmary room. After a while, Leon's sister, Faith, walks out with a sigh. "There's nothing I can do to help her." Shocked, Leon asked why. "Because she's not human but a machine. I'm not good at fixing machine this advance. "She explains.   "I know, I'll take her to N's lab.She's good with this type of tech stuff. " Lucky suggested picking Aimii up. "But Lucky," Leon grabs her shoulder. "Come on. We don't have time." Hoshi speaks up, moving Leon's hand.  So we all make it to Lucky's treehouse to the lab section of it.  "Stay out there till she done. N doesn't like people in her lab.Sorry, "Lucky explains taking Aimii in. 

N's POV

Switching places with Lucky, I place her friend on the table. Save her she begs. I don't see how this has anything to deal with our current state. Oh well. I place my glasses on so I could see. While examining Aimii's body, I found the button that unlocked her hatch to her hard drives. I hook up my computer to her internal drives and start bypassing the security and hacking my way to her main programming. Amazing. A machine that can produce its own mana and can use a new form of magic(sound magic which stems from a form of Wind magic) I wonder if I could.... Beep Ding! "Bingo." I cheer as a chip pops out from Aimii's neck. Taking it, I pop it into my computer and start programming her. While I'm at it, I better fix her up. Hmm maybe an upgrade. Hehe I take that back, Lucky. Good thing I decided to help. I start programming human features into her chip while my large machine starts fixing Aimii up, replacing her broken limbs with new ones.
