Leon's POV

Ms. Z finally decides to teach us something she grabs the marker and starts drawing a 5 pointed star on the board with a circle at each point and lines to connect the circles. "Alright, I'll teach you guys the basics of magic," she explains writing in the circles. "What!? Ms.Z I already know about the basics of magic and I'm sure everyone else does also." I exclaim motioning to everyone in the classroom. "Uh, I don't really know much.Well, just some information I got from an old book I found in my attic." Serenity raises her hand. "Yea and I only know about fire magic from N." Lucky adds raising her hand as well with a smile. "Yo, don't lump me in with you Prince Furry butt. Not everyone has access to books with knowledge of magic don't you know," Scarlet scoffs raising her hand as well. I sigh sitting back down in my seat, defeated. " Well then, shall I proceed? Or does his royal highness have something else to say?" Ms. Z grins looking back at me. "Go on," I reply with her arms crossed, sinking back into my seat. 

"Very well,  the first thing to know are the 6 main types of mana's nature: Fire, water, earth, Wind, and thunder," she explains pointing at the names.  "Wait what's the 6th one?" I asked not remembering there being an 6. "Oh, I thought you already knew?" Ms. Z jokes referring to what I did earlier. I roll my eyes and looked away. "Anyways yes. It's the forbidden type of nature like any dragon nature. Those nature types are rare to be born with. Not going to really get into it because I could get in trouble for it. Besides most of it is ancient magic, not that interesting. " She brushes it off. "Each mana nature has its own strength and weakness beside giving the person the capability to cast spells in that nature type. Like Fire is weak to water yet strong against the wind. But wind and water can compliment each other as a great combination as well as earth and fire which are across from each other. " Ms. Z explains.  "Well, how do people unlock the mana inside them like Leon and Lucky?" Serenity asked. "Well for me it's using a portal from a yokai's world, mainly the yokai named Shinatobe. By signing a contract with her, she allows me to use her magic." I explain."Wait, so wind isn't your nature type?" the teacher asked sitting on my desk, eyeing me. My body starts to shiver with nervousness building up inside. "No, it isn't. I don't have a nature for my mana.In fact, I don't believe I have mana in the first place. " I mutter, twitching my cat ear wanting the subject to change. "Well, when trying to summon out your mana, you must imagine that power coming to a single point which is how you summon the magic circle. A magic circle releases that mana into a magic spell thus sending forth that magic into existence. Of course, in doing so,you're using up your own physical  energy to bring it out and concentration in order to control that power which is  referred to as 'Mana'." Ms.Z goes on to explain. I looked over to see Serenity and Hoshi writing down everything she says. "Without Mana, a person won't be able to use spells or magic in general. " she continues to explain.I sigh having already tried finding out my nature type for years.Even now I can't summon up any of my own power, all those times being trapped. I guess my expression changed to pained one because Serenity continues to tap on my shoulder. "Oi, are you ok?" 

I simply looked away. "I'll be fine," I mutter under my breath. She shrugs right as the teacher calls on Lucky . "And what about you, care to explain how you can use fire magic?" "Hehe well, I just force all the heat in my body out to make a boom, Fire!" Lucky cheers leaping up and bursting her hands into flames without a magic circle. "That's one way you can use magic. Guess you have full control over that fire power? It's better to use a wand to guide your magic plus its must easier to use magic with." the teacher raises a brow at her. "Mostly.N is still trying to figure it out." she spins around the flaming hands. "Well let's first try to find out your mana's nature Scarlet, Serenity, and your new classmate over there." she motions to Hoshi who continues to look at us all without emotion which gives me the chills.

The teacher brings out a bunch of wands and lays it out on the table. "Just pick it up, focus on it, and we'll see what happens" she yawns slamming her butt into her chair. I lay my head down and started to rest my eyes as this happens.

Serenity's POV

Just pick up this wand? I shrug and picked it up then closed my eyes. I tried to focus on thetip of the wand, putting all my mind power into it. I really want to learn magic, I don't want a repeat of last time with Aimii. I try my hardest to manifest the power that's deep inside me.  "Huh? Serenity....What are you doing?" a familiar voice wakes me out of my concentration. "Did I do it?" I smile opening my eyes with joy filling my body. I looked at the wand and nothing happened to it. "Uh no. I think you fell asleep."Scarlet points out."Well, how about you try again another time.Scarlet, you're up next." Ms.Z points to my best friend and pops a sucker in her mouth.  I sigh handing it over to Scarlet.  The teacher pats my back. "Just work on picturing the mana flowing through your body like a river," she explains. Scarlet takes a deep breath as she holds the magic stick out in front of her. Soon enough, the tip shines a black orb like the night." What?" Ms.Z gets out her chair in shock. "Huh?What's wrong with black? The color is awesome."Scarlet smirks with a shrug. "Well, that caught me off guard, Yin mana nature. "Ms. Z comments. That wasn't the ones listed on the board.  "Yin Mana?What's that?" Scarlet asked. "Ah well, I'll explain another time." She tries to change the subject "My turn." Lucky cheers snatching one of the wands.  " Wait, we already know what your mana  nature is." Scarlet started to say as Lucky leaps up on the table."Hehe 1...2...3." she mutters staring at the wand in front of her. I facepalm and started getting a strange feeling in my stomach that something wasn't right. Odo..odo.... "Bu-mu!" she shouts. Dokan! It happened so fast.  The tip of the wand burst into fire and the room was engulfed in flames in a matter of minutes. 

Ms.Z POV

These kids are crazy! Why me!?I got one student with no mana, which is strange. Another student with Yin mana which can't be good. And some student who fell from the sky...Only one normal student. I continue to ponder as I watched the fire department put out the fire in our classroom. "Sorry teach." Lucky sigh scratching her head. "Aww man, this is going to a lot of paperwork." I sigh with my head down. "What did you do Lucky!?" Leon hiss.   But that Hoshi student, What is she? It only happened for a brief moment, but I saw it. Right before the wand broke, the look in Hoshi's eyes changed and she amplified everyone's magic power. What have I gotten into this school year?  "Class is over for today and the rest of your classes are canceled.Go home," I say, getting everyone's attention. 

After the flames were put out I went up to the headmaster's office. The large room was devoid of light. Gesh, this guy loves being in dark places. Heh, no wonder the kids are getting a bad impression of the guy.  I stand in front of hi desk, waiting for him to comment about the fire that just happened.  " So Ms.Z. I noticed your classroom was set aflame this afternoon. Want to tell me what happened?'' The chair swirls around to let the figure sitting in it to get a look at me. I chuckled with nervousness hitting the pit of my stomach. "Hehe oh, yeah. Well, that was just one of the students using the practice wands. " I reply with my hands behind my back. I could see his eyebrow raised as he swirls his chair to face the large window behind him. The moment he opened it, the light hits my eye blinding me. "Well, Tomorrow I was going start with mana control lessons.But not like the lesson plans set up." I explain covering my eyes from the light. "Hmm. Go on.What was your plan for dealing with this?Seeing how your class is a low ranking class.And you're a new teacher this year, Right?" he asked looking out the window. I grin about my idea. "Well..."
