Okay so this chapter may or may not be good. It's late and I have to get up early tomorrow as my cousin who I haven't seen in two years is coming back from austrailia, how cool right? SOOOO excited, I probably won't even sleep, but I had better try! :P Anyway here is chapter seven enjoy!

I have also decided (now that I figured out how to, yes I'm an idiot) that I'm going to start dedicating the next few chapters to my two followers and two readers :) Thanks :D

Disclaimer: I own nothing but the OC Kootoni who I made up :)

When I got outside the cave I noticed the rain had stopped and the leaf had probably sent out Ninken to pick up on any faint scents they could find. I took off my cloak and started to rip it into pieces using my kunai then went around the forest to try to find animals to stick the pieces to. When I was finished I used my kunai to pin up the remaining pieces on to random trees as far from the place were we are hiding as possible. After a while of thinking I decided I would put a few round the place where we were hiding as I knew Kakashi knows how I think and would just look in the places which had no pieces around. I was just about finished when I heard someone approach from behind me. Immediately I hid in the bushes and hoped they didn't spot me. "Naruto you can't blame yourself for what she has done, it was her decision and you know what she's like better than anyone, once she has made up her mind there is no changing it" said an annoyingly familiar voice that could only belong to one person.. Sakura.

"She wanted to stay away from the interrogation core, she knew it was driving her crazy. I should have went to the Hokage and demanded he let her quit the core. If I had of done that maybe she wouldn't be in this mess"

"Naruto you told us yourself that she told you not to and if you had done that she would have hated that you made her decision for her and in the end would have ended up rejoining anyway" Sasuke obviously said in his normal matter of fact tone.

"Yeah, well it would have been worth a try!" he snapped back. I felt terrible about what I had done, I knew he would act like this, but I had no idea he would be this bad. Damn the pang of guilt is back. Part of me wanted to go back, but it was far too late for me now. Well maybe not, maybe I could just apologize and return to the village and take my punishment, I mean Deidara is safe and sound now and has enough supplies in there to last him for a bit. Who am I kidding if I don't come back with Deidara then I'm as good as dead. What was I thinking? After a while of silence, Sakura and her big mouth that she couldn't keep shut started again.

"I can't believe we have to search for her for so long, how selfish can she be?"

"Don't say that Sakura! She was just trying to help that boy as she couldn't sit by and watch him being treated like that, she was just trying to do the right thing. The guilt was eating her alive!" he scolded Sakura. If it had been anyone else he would have yelled it and gave them a death glare, but it wasn't it was his beloved Sakura that said it.

"That 'boy' was a member of the Akatsuki and she should have known better than to allow him to make her feel guilt. She just let her emotions overwhelm her as usual, that's why I think it was absurd to put her in the interrogation core in the first place" he replied in a cold tone.

Before Naruto could reply, Kakashi came up behind them and everyone started asking questions all at once. "Guys, one at a time!" he said in his normal cool collected voice.

"Did you find her?" Naruto said asking the most obvious question ever.

I could tell by the way Kakashi looked at him, even with his mask on that he didn't want to tell him, but they needed to know so he did. "No, Pakun came up empty-handed with the tracking her by her scent idea. She obviously saw it coming as she has spread her scent all over the forest using the trees and animals, but on the bright side that means she couldn't have gotten far especially with the state the Akatsuki boy is in. We have until sunset to keep looking. If we haven't found her by then, then we head back to the village to inform the Hokage; got it?"

"Got it!" they replied in unison.

"I'm gonna find Kootoni no matter what it takes, believe it!" Naruto said using his catchphrase which means he will never give up until he has finished what he promised. I couldn't help, but want to go out and hug him, he cared so much. Why did he have to be like that? Why couldn't he just let me go, abandon me; like I did him and the village.

"We should all split up this time to cover more ground" Kakashi said before taking off again.

"You heard him let's go!" Naruto practically yelled.

Everyone dispersed and I waited a moment to make sure they had left before I started to take off back towards the cave. As I was running I felt a chakra presence and instantly stopped knowing they had already seen me and were trying to follow me back into the cave. I turned around and called out "Alright, I know you're there come out" Suddenly out of the shadows came none other than Sakura. In case you hadn't noticed by now I kind of hate Sakura, she is just one of those weak, pathetic girls that run around chasing Sasuke instead of training. In fact, she probably only entered the ninja academy so that she could be with Sasuke and impress him, too bad for her that's not how Sasuke rolls. Normally I wouldn't break a sweat taking her down, but I was very low on chakra which meant I had to rely on Bukijutsu (weapon techniques) and Taijutsu (body techniques), which even Sakura is far better at than me. As much as I hate to admit it I suck at these techniques, I can barely throw a punch, but there is no other way to get back to the cave without getting past her.

"I was hoping you would lead me to where you are keeping the prisoner, but I guess I will just take you down and you can be interrogated later on his location" she said proudly with a smirk.

"You can try, but I don't go down easy" I stated trying to get under her skin.

She lunged forward with her kunai in her hand aiming straight for me, I dodged it, but just in time. My wounds from the previous battle where slowing me down and still causing me a lot of pain, even the soldier pill was starting to wear off. I then tried to throw a punch to her face, but I was too slow and she dodged it while punching me in the gut making me keel over in pain. She tried to land a kick to my head, but I managed to force myself to move before it could make contact. I realized at this point that I was going to have to outsmart her if I wanted to escape.

"What's wrong Kootoni? Realizing you're out of your league?" she smirked.

"Aw are you jealous because Sasuke likes to hang around with me and I don't even have to ask as he asks me, yet he never hangs out with you; no matter how many times you ask?" I smirked evilly knowing this would push her over the edge. She growled at me then threw kunai at me, I dodged three, but one cut my shoulder as it passed and the other landed a blow to my stomach. I hissed in pain, but let it stay in there as if I took it out the blood would start to pour out making me dizzy and possibly make me collapse from blood lose after a while. When I looked up I noticed she had thrown paper bombs at me and I took this as my chance, this is going to hurt. I purposely took the blow from one of the paper bombs which threw me across the forest making me hit a tree. I let my body fall limp and waited as she approached me.

"Looks like you will soon know how you pretty new boyfriend felt when he was being asked for information by the interrogation core" she mocked. She bent down towards me to use chakra sealing handcuffs to restrain me thinking I was knocked out, big mistake. When she was close enough I head-butted her, causing her to fall back a bit and then turned her around and choked her untill she lay unconscious on the floor next to me. I started to bandage myself up quickly before anyone arrived after all the noise Sakura made when throwing those explosives. When I was sure my wounds were bandaged enough to prevent blood from dripping I started to stagger back to the cave feeling a little more at ease now that I was sure no one was following and that there would be no blood trail leading them right to us.

When I entered the cave I pulled out the kunai which was still lodged in my stomach with a hiss of pain. "Are you okay?" I looked over to see a healthier looking, very concerned Deidara.

"Yeah" I barely mumbled as I slowly made my way to the medical supplies only to start to feel dizzy and fall onto my stomach. Pain shot through me and I started to feel myself slip away into darkness.

"Kootoni!" was the last thing I heard before everything finally went black.

Deidara's POV

I watched Kootoni come back from spreading our scent. The moment she entered she pulled out a knife that was lodged in her stomach and some dark red liquid started to ooze its way out of her wound, she didn't look so good. "Are you okay?" I asked suddenly concerned.

I watched her make her way over to her bag with her medical supplies in it. "Yeah" she replied, but I knew she was lying the moment she stumbled and started to fall head first to the floor.

"Kootoni" I yelled in surprise. I got up ignoring the pain that started to shoot through my body and made my way over to her. She was lying on the floor now and blood was flowing out of her none stop. I immediately went to her bag and dug out supplies. Man did she come prepared, she had everything from bandages to pills and even some clothes and blankets. I took out some dressing and some medical tape and tore off her top and tried to stop the bleeding coming from her shoulder and stomach wounds. I then took out a cloth and went to the pool of water in the cave and used it to wash her cuts. After I bandaged her up, I lifted her up with the little strength I had left ignoring the now agonizing pain coming from my own wounds and set her down by the fire, covering her in a blanket. I wished I knew which pills to give her, but I didn't have much medical knowledge, so I hoped that the little I knew was enough. I watched her chest rise up and fall gently and was relieved to know she was still alive. For a while I just kept staring at her. I had to admit she was a very beautiful girl, her long, wavy golden hair curved down her angelic face and landed elegantly on her chest. Her milky white face with rosy red cheeks and eyes framed with long eyelashes were relaxed as she lay in front of me with her full lips parted slightly. She was a tall girl for a fourteen-year old girl and even though she was young her delicate, wiry frame would drive any boy her age mad. I don't know what it is about this girl, but ever since I first saw her and looked into her sky blue eyes that glowed with happiness, I just wanted to be around her and get to know her. She and her smile radiated kindness and the day she first came to see me, her eyes shone with love and compassion. When she spoke she spoke with such affection and concern, I knew that she was as kind as one would first think. She helped me and threw away everything she had just to help a low life scum like me that deserved to die for the terrible things they have done; because of that I owe her. She will be my cherished angel and I swear to protect her for the rest of my life.
