New Friends?

Walking into the flower shop this morning, Olivia is greeted by Chris looking miserable which puts a smile on her face.

"Morning grumpy." Olivia smiles at him and gets set up for the day.

"How the hell are you so chipper right now?" Chris asked walking behind her to fill the flower pot with water.

"Because I like my job and because Lily is coming by today." Liv says and went to smack Chris's hand since he was putting too much water on the flowers.

*Ding*

"Yo Liv what's up?" Rudy asked not caring how loud he was being this early in the morning.

"Morning. See Chris, why can't you be like Rudy who has energy." Liv says pointing at Rudy, giving him a smile.

"Oh my bad" Chris says, rolling his eyes and going on his phone since that's all he does when he 'works'.

"Anywhosies" Rudy says going to the counter.

"When is grandma Lily coming with the cookies?" Rudy asked, smiling like a little kid.

Olivia gasps. "Is that the only reason you came here so early? I'm offended."

"Suck it up girlie." Rudy says laughing and just as Liv was about to say something the bell rang.

"GRANDMA LILY." Rudy yells running over to her and pulling her into the biggest bear hug ever.

"Hello my handsome man who this silly little girl isn't dating yet." Lily said, handing the basket of cookies to Liv and cups Rudy's cheeks like she does for Liv and gives him a kiss on the forehead.

"I know right. She's so slow." Rudy says rolling his eyes

"You know if you need a sugar grandma I'm here." Lily says fighting back a smile which causes Rudy to laugh.

"Grandma!" Olivia exclaimed

"Oh relax I'm too old for him and it was a joke lighten up" Lily says going over to the counter with Rudy following behind.

"Thank you for the cookies grandma." Liv says going over to hug her before Lily leaves.

"Any time my love. I need to spoil someone and now I can spoil you and your handsome friend." Lily says going to give them both a hug and left.

As she was walking out, someone else walked in.

"Hey, what can I do for ya today?" Oliva asked

"Hi I was wondering if you could help me with something." The lady says to Olivia.

"First off,are you two dating?" The girl asked, looking between the two with a mischievous smirk.

"No, just friends," Olivia told the random girl, and Rudy nodded in agreement.

"Good," the girl grinned at Olivia. "Second, tell me... what's your favorite kind of flower?"

"Sunflowers and Orchids," Olivia responded.

"I'll take a dozen of each of those, and your number," the girl responded smoothly.

"Well, if you want my number at least tell me your name first." Olivia told her.

"It's Kameryn. Call me Kam. Now, your name and number, please?" Kam smirked.

Olivia smiled. "Olivia, and I'll give you my number before you leave. I promise. So, Kameryn, why did you really come here? Besides to flirt with me, of course."

"I was wondering if you could help me with something." The lady says to Olivia.

"Sure what do you need?" Oliva said going over to the woman leaving Rudy with the cookies.

"I am buying my mom some flowers for her birthday and I don't know what flowers to get her." The lady replies.

"Oh my goodness you should get those flowers over there. I got them for my mom. They are called peonies I think." Rudy says with a mouthful of cookies and points to the peonies.

Kam laughs. "I'll take those as well."

"Great" Olivia claps her hands and goes over to the flowers and makes a bouquet and rings her up.

"Before you go." Olivia says, grabbing a piece of paper and writing her number.

"As promised"

"Thank you so much and I will be sure to text you as soon as I get home. Have a good day." Kameryn winks and then walks out the door.

Turning to grab a cookie Olivia goes into an empty basket. Looking at Rudy, she seems crumbs all over his face and has a head of shame.

"I couldn't help it. They were so good." Rudy says with his head down. He reaches into his pocket and offers Liv a cookie he saved.

"You can have it." Liv says, shaking her head and cleaning the counter as Rudy eats the cookie with a smile on his face.

"Do you not have a life to get to. You've been with me all day?" Olivia asked

"No, I do not peanut." Rudy says shaking his head

"Why peanut?" Olivia asked taking her phone out since she got a notification.

"I don't know it was the first thing I came up with. Also who are you texting that's taking your attention away from me" Rudy says annoyed

"It's the girl from this morning if you must know." Olivia says.

"Where did jelly bean come from?" Rudy asked, confused.

"I don't know, it's the first thing I came up with." Liv says using what he said today towards him.

"The bullying I have received today." Rudy says, shaking his head and going to the car.

"I only called you Jelly bean. The rest is all your new bestie." Liv says opening the driver side of the car.

"She is NOT my bestie. She's so mean to me. I don't know how you are friends with that bean face." Rudy says.

"I don't think she will appreciate you calling her a bean face would she?" Liv asked, tilting her head to the side.

"No" Rudy mumbles

"It's getting late so we can finish this tomorrow." Liv says as they bid their goodbyes.

ngl i'm shocked i posted today. anywho i might have a two hour delay tomorrow but moving on

this was an fun to write. me and alluringredroses wrote this at like midnight and some of the spelling errors are actually me and i have been having issues.

anyway, 2 more new characters left to introduce then soon the obx stuff comes bc we gotta move the plot along.

also there won't be much of obx happening but there also will. idk how to explain you just have to keep reading
