Chapter 9

Next day morning

Khushi and Arnav got up slowly and started getting ready one by one. After getting ready, Arnav came out of the room and saw Khushi standing by the stairs railing and looking at something happening downstairs with curious eyes.

Confused, he also came behind her and looked to see what she was seeing with so much interest. His eyes widened seeing the scene happening downstairs. A "What the" escaped his lips unknowingly. Khushi was startled and looked behind to see Arnav standing with shocked look.

She gave him a sarcastic smile.

"Khushi, what's happening downstairs?" Arnav asked bewildered.

"Well your dear Sheetal couldn't stay without her ASR. So she came back early in the morning itself." Khushi replied mockingly.

Arnav looked at her helplessly. "Khushi..."

"What?? Your girlfriend couldn't stay away from you for a day and came back early in the morning itself. Go. Go and welcome her." Khushi said sarcastically.

Arnav shook his head. "What the hell is she doing here? Why did she come back?" Arnav asked frustrated.

"Who knows?" Khushi said shrugging. Both Arnav and Khushi looked at Sheetal hugging Mami and crying her heart out. Arav was sitting beside Anjali and hugging her tightly looking at Sheetal sadly. Khushi rolled her eyes seeing the drama.

"Mami, I.. I... I am scared. That man... my house owner. He... he was looking at me weirdly since we went there. He... he kept staring at me. Sometimes winking at me, sometimes trying to corner me, brushing against me. He left from there after sometime. Then Aman also left.

"We were going to sleep. Then, I heard someone knocking the door. When I opened the door, he was standing there. He immediately came inside and locked the door. I asked him to leave. But he didn't listened. He started coming close to me. He... he..." saying that Sheetal started crying.

"Hearing my cries, Arav came there. Seeing him, he ran away. I was scared for the whole night. I couldn't sleep even a bit. Everytime I closed my eyes, his disgusting look and touch scared me. As soon as it was morning, we left from there. I was so scared. I... I...." Sheetal started crying hysterically.

The Raizada ladies's eyes were also moist. Mami hugged and tried to console her. Anjali hugged Arav. Nani had a sad look. Akash, Payal and NK stood silently not knowing how to react.

Arnav's eyes were only on Khushi. He was keenly observing her trying to gauge her reaction. She looked lost in thoughts. She was seeing Sheetal curiously as if trying to solve a big mathematical problem.

"Why are you looking at Sheetal like that?" Arnav asked curiously.

Khushi looked at him and replied shrugging. "I was trying to understand what is so special about her that every man who sees her looses their self control and start running behind her. First you, now her house owner. Is she so attractive? Do you men feel something different seeing her that you couldn't resist her?" Khushi asked curiously.

"What the..." Arnav looked at Khushi shocked. Then looking at Sheetal, he started feeling disgusted. "She? Yuck. She isn't even one percent as beautiful as you. Looks like distant relative of some chimpanzee." Arnav said making a gagging face.

Khushi rolled his eyes at her. "Yeah, right. That's why you were running behind her like a puppy for the past six months. Yeah, for all the attention you showered on her, she seriously do look like the distant relative of chimpanzee." Khushi said sarcastically.

Arnav felt like he was slapped. He looked down ashamed. Khushi shook her head tiredly. She looked down and saw Mami still trying to console Sheetal.

"Sh... sh... calm downwa. It's OK. Don't worry. You are fine. You are safe. Nothing to worry." Mami said consoling her.

"Yeah, Sheetalji. Everything is OK. Nothing bad happened, right. Forget it. You are safe now." Anjali said consoling her.

"It's all because of that Phatti Sadi. I don't understand what's her problem with Sheetal Bitiya. What is Sheetal Bitiya's fault if Arnav Bitwa liked her during college days and was dating her. What's her problem if Arav Bitwa is like Arnav Bitwa? Can't she be happy seeing the child? How could she feel bad about a child? Children are the form of God. How could someone have bad feelings for them." Mami asked making faces.

Anjali and Nani shot each other a helpless look hearing Mami. They didn't know how to react to the comment. They couldn't agree to her. Also they can't oppose her in front of Sheetal.

Arnav gritted his teeth hearing Mami. He looked at Khushi who was looking at Mami with an expressionless rigid face. He was going to go down and bash Mami when he saw Khushi walking downstairs.

"You don't have to make any compromises for me, Mami. You can keep your Sheetal Bitiya with you. I don't have any problem." Khushi said coming downstairs with an impassive look.

Raizadas looked shocked seeing Khushi and Arnav. Everyone had a scared look. Arnav was glaring murderously at Mami and Sheetal.

"You're misunderstanding, Khushi Bitiya. Manorama didn't mean it like that." Nani said trying to control the situation. She didn't want the situation to get more worse due to Manorama's insensitivity.

"I very well understood what she meant, Naniji. So that only, I am saying, keep your dear Sheetal Bitiya with you. I don't have any problem. In fact Mamiji, I will say, get her married to your Arnav Bitwa. Then you can keep your wonderful Sheetal Bitiya and Arav Bitwa with you forever." Khushi said smiling widely.

Everyone's eyes widened hearing that.

"What are you saying, Khushi Bitiya?" Nani asked in worry.

"What wrong did I say, Naniji? Anyways, we are getting divorced. So what's the problem if Arnavji marries Sheetal. After all she is perfect for your Arnav Bitwa. A perfect partner in every sense. Also, Arav will become a part of this family. You all can love and pamper him wholeheartedly. He will be junior ASR in real sense. Their awesome threesome team will really become the awesome threesome family.

"In fact, I am sure, if not everyone, atleast Mamiji definitely wishes Arnavji to get married to Sheetal. Isn't it, Mamiji? Didn't I say correct? Don't you think Arnavji and Sheetal will make a perfect pair?" Khushi asked with wide smile.

Mami squirmed in her place, not looking up. She felt ashamed.

"Come on, Mamiji. You don't have to feel wary in expressing your feelings. I know you really wish Sheetal to be your daughter in law. In fact, you have expressed your this desire on so many occasions. It's OK. You can say, nobody will say anything. In fact, everyone else also wants this only in one or other way.

"Sheetal is after all the perfect daughter in law, you can get. She is well-educated, sophisticated, modern, well about richness I am not sure. But, yeah, she can surely pass among the bimbo high class show offs. She can definitely help you in climbing your high class social life." Khushi said sarcastically.

"Khushi, why are you talking to Mami like that? She was just saying that you shouldn't be so insecure about my and Arnav's closeness. I and Arnav are friends since college days. We also dated each other. We work in the same office and share same wavelength. So obviously he is more comfortable with me and could talk to me freely.

"Also, Arnav and Arav share so many similarities and tastes, so Arnav could communicate with him better. That's all. You don't have to feel insecure about that so much. He is your husband. You should trust him. You should care about his feelings and comforts. Please, try to understand him and don't be so much insecure about our relationship. We are just good friends." Sheetal said with a sad helpless face and cunning look.

Raizadas looked shocked hearing Sheetal. Though Sheetal only repeated what Mami said earlier but putting it in this way, it sounded so wrong. Everyone was speechless.

"I didn't mean it like that. I was only saying what was Sheetal Bitiya's fault in all this. Why she has to suffer because of all that happened. The problem is between Arnav Bitwa and Phatti Sadi. Arnav Bitwa was ignoring Phatti Sadi. And Phatti Sadi is having insecurities. Why should Sheetal Bitiya bear burnt of it? That's only I was saying " Mami said trying to justify herself.

"Then, why I was asked to stay away from Anjaliji when Shyam was lusting over me and Arnavji threw him out? It was Shyam who was lusting over me. It was Anjaliji who couldn't accept her husband's duplicity and was having insecurities. It was Arnavji who threw him out. Then why I was the one who bore the burnt of it? Why I was asked to stay away from Anjaliji? Why my movements in the house was restricted? Why I was blamed for his treachery?

"Shouldn't it have been Anjaliji who should have understood. Shouldn't it have been Shyam who should have got punishment. Shouldn't it have been Arnavji who should have been blamed for throwing him out. Then why only I was the one who was punished. Who was blamed. Who bore the burnt?" Khushi asked with a faraway look.

The whole Raizada clan gasped hearing that. Nobody had any answers for her question. Yes, she was right. It was her, who bore the burnt even though the guilty was someone else. All looked down ashamed.

"Do you remember, Mamiji? You blamed me saying that I was trying to deliberately hurt your Anjali Bitiya by going in front of her, when I went to give food to her. You and Naniji strictly asked me to stay away from her. What was my fault, then? That I was looking out for her health and wanted her to have some food so that she and her baby could be healthy.

"If it isn't Sheetalji's fault that Arnavji was more comfortable with her and is close to her. Then why was it my fault that Shyamji was lusting over me. I didn't invite him to lust over me. Just because your daughter broke down and tried to kill herself, so her pain is more and you had the right to punish me, chastise me and keep me locked up in a room.

"Since you are not seeing me in pain and I am not breaking down in front of you or trying to kill myself, you think that my pain is nothing and I should be understanding and tolerate Sheetal in this house. Right, Mamiji?" Khushi asked in anguish. Tears filled her eyes.

Mami looked down ashamed. All Raizadas had teary eyes. Nobody could say anything.

"That day, Arnavji was saying that he ignored me because he felt like I compared him to his father, when I did the DNA test. Now let me really compare our situation with their situation. Arnavji's father was cheating on his wife and having an affair with another woman.

"He didn't thought about his wife and children and was giving attention to another woman for his own pleasures. His mother couldn't tolerate it and committed suicide. But tell me this everyone, didn't Arnavji also did same. He also ignored me and was giving attention to another woman to satisfy his ego and hurt me.

"Just because I didn't die, he is not at fault. And I should be the understanding one. If it's so then why don't you say anything when Arnavji hates his father. Why do you feel offended when Arnavji's Dadi keeps saying that it's due to his mother's fault, her son and daughter in law died. After all it's not his father's fault, right. It's his mother's fault that his mother couldn't understand her husband or keep him happy. After according to what you said Mamiji, the wife should be understanding and accept her husband's duplicity, right." Khushi asked mockingly.

The entire Raizada clan gasped hearing Khushi. They all looked at her dumbstruck, not being able to say anything. Mami gaped at Khushi, wide eyed, speechless. Arnav looked at Khushi shocked and numb. His heart skipped several beats. He felt difficult to breath. The full force of his mistake hitting him finally. He felt like a criminal. Khushi looked at everyone with a sarcastic smile.

"It's rightly said, when it comes to you, then only you understand the pain, otherwise for the world, it's only fun. (Jab baat khud par ho tabhi dard ka ehsaas hota hai, varna duniya ke liye to vo bas thamasha hota hai)" Khushi said sadly.

Raizadas closed their eyes in shame and regret. They could clearly see their mistakes and understand the pain they put her through. All felt guilty. The full extend of their mistakes finally hitting them. Sheetal felt like crying. Things are going out of her control. If Raizadas sympathise with Khushi, then what about her plan. No. She can't loose like this. She has to do something.

"Khushi, I know you're feeling insecure seeing me here. I am really sorry about that. I really don't want to hurt you or cause problems between you and Arnav. That was never my intention. It is because I am helpless. You don't know how difficult it is for a single mother to survive here.

"I really wanted to move out and not cause trouble for you all. But my fate, I wanted to do good and now I am causing more problems. The house where I went to stay, the house owner turned out to be a bad man. And yesterday night, he... he.... I can't even say what happened to me. It's only because of pure luck, I got saved. I am sorry. I am causing you all so much trouble." Sheetal said faking crying.

Raizadas looked helpless. Khushi had a thoughtful look. Arnav was confused and frustrated not knowing what to do.

After thinking for a couple of minutes, Khushi said, "Come, Sheetalji. Let's go. Arnavji, you too come with us. Call Amanji also."

All Raizadas looked at her confused.

"Come Sheetalji." Khushi said dragging Sheetal.

"Where, Khushi?" Sheetal asked shocked.

"To Police Station. Let's go and lodge a complaint against that house owner. How can he misbehave with you. We should definitely lodge a complaint. In fact, Arnavji call your friend, that commissioner. We should not leave that man (house owner)." Khushi said dragging Sheetal with her.

Arnav nodded feeling Khushi is doing right. He understood what she is trying to do. So he played along. "Yes, Khushi. You're right. We should definitely complaint against that house owner. How can he misbehave with a woman. Wait, let me call Aman also. He found that house, right. Let him also know what sort of house owner that man was. He was all praises for him, yesterday.

"What was he saying? That man was ex-military, decent, respectable with good reputation. Now everyone will know his true nature. His false prestige will be torn apart." Arnav said with a cunning smile.

Sheetal was horrified hearing that. If they go to police station, then her lies will be exposed. No. She can't let it happen. Before she could react, she heard Arnav talking in phone.

"Yeah, Aman. It's ASR.... You immediately reach police station.... Sheetal has been molested by her new house owner... Yeah. It's true.... Yeah.... No... We are reaching in few minutes with Sheetal. You also reach soon.... Yeah.... We will talk other things at police station... OK... See you..." Arnav cut the call.

"OK. Khushi. Aman is coming. Come, let's go. Sheetal, come." Arnav said.

"No. No. I don't want to lodge any complaint. I don't want to complaint against him. What will people think about me if this thing comes out. Everyone will blame me only saying I am a single mother. So I am characterless. This is a small thing. I don't want to make a big issue out of it. No. No. I don't want to complain. " Sheetal said shaking her head.

"It's not a small issue, Sheetalji. It's a big thing. A man tried to play with your honour. It's not a small thing. How can we let such a man go scott free who tried to malign a woman's dignity. He should be punished. You're a strong, educated, and sophisticated woman. If people like you itself will not complain about such incidents fearing about society. Then what will happen to those girls who doesn't have all these privileges. Such men will play with women's dignity and walk away freely.

"You should definitely lodge complaint. If not for anything else, atleast to stop him from doing such a heinous thing to someone else. And don't worry about anything. We all are with you. We all will support you. I know we have differences. But as a woman, I will definitely support you in this." Khushi said firmly.

"Yeah, Sheetalji. We all are with you. Don't worry. We will all support you. You lodge complaint against that shameless man without fearing. Everything will be alright." Anjali said smiling reassuringly.

"Yeah, Sheetal Bitiya. You should definitely complaint against that vile man." Nani too said encouragingly.

"Come, Sheetalji. Let's go." Saying that Khushi started pulling Sheetal towards door. Arnav too followed them.

Sheetal started panicking seeing things going out of her hand. Oh God. What will she do now. She didn't thought Raizadas will react to her lies like this. She thought she will get their sympathy when she will say about the wrong happened to her. And using that, she could stay here. Now things are going in an entirely different angle.

Seeing Khushi pulling her towards door, Sheetal tried wriggle out of her grip. But Khushi tightened her grip and forcefully started pulling Sheetal. Finally, seeing that she has no other option, Sheetal pulled her hand out of Khushi's hand and pushed her away.

Khushi was scared due to the sudden push. She held her tummy in order to protect her babies. But before she could fall down, Arnav held Khushi safely in his arms protectively. Khushi clutched him tightly still scared about falling down and loosing her Babies.

"What the hell, Sheetal? What's wrong with you?" Arnav shouted at Sheetal angrily. He was literally seething in rage. The Raizadas also frowned at Sheetal in displeasure.

Sheetal was still panicked. "I... I... can't lodge complaint." She uttered in panick.

"Why?" Arnav bellowed at the end of his wits.

"Because he didn't do anything. He didn't molested me. I lied." Sheetal said in fear and panick unknowingly. After saying that only, she realized what she said. Her eyes widened in fear. "I mean... I..." Sheetal looked down ashamed.

Raizadas looked at her shocked. They couldn't believe she said such a big lie to them. Arnav looked at her in disgust. In between all this, nobody noticed Khushi who was still held in Arnav's arms protectively.

She was still scared thinking about falling down and loosing her Babies. Arnav unconsciously held her close rubbing her back soothingly. He felt her shivering in his arms being scared. He looked down at her and was worried seeing her sweating and trembling in his arms.

"Khushi..." He called her in worry. Seeing her not responding, he scooped her in his arms and laid her on the living room couch. Raizadas also surrounded her in worry. Payal ran to get water. Arnav made her drink water. Slowly, Khushi calmed down and got hold of herself.

"Are you OK, Khushi? Do you need to go to hospital?" Arnav asked with concern.

"No. I.. I am fine." Khushi said softly. Arnav sighed. Then his gaze fell on Sheetal who was standing behind everyone with a nervous look.

"You!! It's all because of you!" Arnav shouted pouncing on Sheetal. Sheetal stepped back frightened. "What the hell is your problem, woman? Why are you doing all this? What the hell do you want? Why are you hell bend on ruining our lives and the peace of this house? I arranged a house for you, right. You had every amenities there. Then why did you come back, that too making up such a big lie. What do you really want? Why are you doing all this?" Arnav asked angrily.

"Arnav... um... I... I... actually Arav.... Arav was missing everyone so much. He was really sad. He kept asking for everyone, especially Anjali Di. I couldn't see him like that. So... I..." Sheetal stammered with a fake guilty look.

"So, you decided to make such a disgusting lie that your house owner tried to molest you and come here. Wow. What a plan, Sheetal. Hats off. And tell me one thing, Sheetal. What are you? What do you think of yourself? Are you some Princess or some super model, that every man who sets eyes on you, will run behind you like a love sick puppy. What were you thinking while making up this lie.

"In fact you disgust me, Sheetal with your lies. I can't imagine a woman could stop so low and lie about someone playing with her dignity so casually. All for what. To come back here. Why? What do you think of us, Sheetal? Are we fools. In fact you almost made my entire family fool. They all believed you." Arnav said angrily glaring at his family. Raizadas looked down ashamed.

"If not for Khushi, with her presence of mind, trying to take you to police station, you would have definitely succeeded in your plan. (Looking proudly at Khushi which she royally ignored and was frowning at Sheetal). And what were you saying. Arav was missing us. He couldn't stay without us. Why?

"Who are we to him? Nobody. You people stayed in this house as guests, because of my wife's kindness. Above that what relationship do we share. And why was he missing my sister. What do you people take us to be. Who are you both to us. Nobody. Why do you think we are obliged to entertain you both." Arnav asked angrily.

"Arnav, um... Arav... he... he got used to staying with you people. So he is finding it difficult to stay alone." Sheetal said stammering.

"And I don't understand why he was missing us. All these years, he stayed with you alone. Then why he can't do it now. Why was it so difficult for him to stay without us that you had to tell such a lie to come back here."

"And If he is finding it so difficult to stay alone, then find a caretaker or Nanny for him. We are not your family members that we should entertain your son or take care of him. Neither I am his father nor my sister is his Nanny that we should take care of his needs. It's your duty. If you are not capable of doing it. Then find someone. Or take him to his father.

"You came all the way from America to make him meet his father, right? You left your job, your comfortable life in America and came all the way here, where you had no job, no money, no place to live, no one to help, just to meet his father. Isn't that what you were telling from day one. Then why are you not doing it. Why are you not taking him to his father. From day one, he keeps asking for his father. You keep lying or asking me to fulfill duties of his father. Still not even for once you had tried to make him meet his father.

"Every wrong things he does, you rubbish it saying that he is like this because he doesn't have a father. Still you never tried to correct him or try to make him meet his father. You expect us to fulfill his tantrums and unnecessary demands. Still not even for once, you tried to make him understand or contact with his father.

"Arav is your son. I don't know about his father. Still I would say this. If you both were mature enough to make him, then you both should be responsible enough to take care of him. You both can't dump him on someone else's head and expect them to fulfill all his demands. If you and him were incapable of taking care of him, then you shouldn't have had him in the first place." Arnav said angrily.

"Chote!!! Why are you saying?" Anjali asked outraged at his words.

Sheetal looked ashamed. Arav looked pale and shocked. Raizadas were scandalized by what Arnav said.

"What?? Did I say something wrong? People do things for fun and their pleasures. But when it comes to taking responsibility, they run away. They never think what will be consequences of their actions. What will happen to the innocent kids who gets tormented in between all this?" Arnav said in anger and disgust.

"Why do they even have kids when they can't take care of them. Why people become parents when they can't come out of their selfishness and care for their children?" Arnav asked angry.

"Chote??" Anjali was shocked by what he was saying.

"Did I say something wrong, Di? Even our parents were like that. Did they thought about us when they committed suicide? Not even for once, they thought what the impact of their actions would be on us. That man, our father, he never cared that he had a daughter of marriagable age at home and was having an affair at that age.

"And Ma, she didn't thought about us even once before committing suicide. All she cared about was her own pain. Not for once she thought about how we would cope up without her. How her actions would affect us. You were ready as a bride and then only she had to go and kill herself. Did she thought for once how it will affect your life.

"No. For her, more than her daughter's life, her pain was bigger. Her husband's deception was bigger than her daughter's happiness. And that man, he couldn't be loyal to his wife. Still after her death, he had to commit suicide to run away from his crimes. Not once, he thought what will happen to us after his death.

"And now here, another mother, speaks as if her son is her world. But can't even take care of him. Keeps dumping his responsibility on other's head. And a father who made him for his pleasure. But doesn't even want to know about him. Wow. Hats off. What amazing parents." Arnav said sarcastically.

"Arnav Bitwa, it's not like that. Sheetal Bitiya is an amazing mother. She is not dumping Arav's responsibility on us. She do take care of him. We all love to take care of him. So we also do it." Mami said defending Sheetal.

"That's what I am asking, Mami. Why we have to take care of him. Why did she come back here today? What was her problem in that house? Why she had to come back here today itself that too telling such a big lie? Why does she keep coming in our house?

"It was not even one day she shifted there. The house had every amenities. The neighbourhood was good. Everything she needed was available. Still she came back after few hours of shifting without even bothering to try and stay in that house. Without even trying to make Arav understand for once. As soon as Arav threw tantrums she packed her things and came back. As if she was just waiting for Arav to throw tantrums and she could come back.

"And then what she did. She said such a big lie to gain everyone's sympathy and stay here. Why? Because her son was throwing tantrums and she couldn't control him. Isn't? So what does this mean? Either she is a very irresponsible and useless mother or she was just using her son's tantrums to come back." Arnav asked sternly.

Everyone looked at Sheetal for answers. Sheetal gulped and kept looking down ashamed. She never thought her plan would flop so badly. And she would be cornered like this.

"Arnav Bitwa, Sheetal Bitiya might have not liked the house." Mami said trying to defend her favourite person.

"Oh really! Then where will her highness like to stay. Shall I buy a mansion for them. Will she and her son be comfortable there. Or should I buy a palace. Would that suffice. After all they thinks of themselves like some queen and prince. She can't even afford to buy a 1BHK. They expect to have 7 star facilities. Why don't you accept it Sheetal that you don't want to leave all the luxuries you are getting here. So making all these excuses. Such a gold digger." Arnav said in disgust.

Sheetal reddened in humiliation. She never thought Arnav would humiliate her so mercilessly.

"Arnav Bitwa, what are you sayingwa? Pleaj don't talks to Sheetal Bitiya like that. She ij not gold diggerwa. What is her fault in all these? Phatti Sadi didn't like her and her son. You send them out and forced them to go to that new housewa. She didn't like the housewa, so came back. What's her fault in all this. You should make Phatti Sadi understandwa, no. Instead of that, why are you throwing them outwa?" Mami said making a face.

"Mami!!" "Manorama!!!" Arnav, Anjali and Nani shouted at Mami. They were fed up of her insensitivity. What were they talking for all this while. Khushi said so much. She bared her pain in front of her. Still it didn't have an effect on her. She is still stuck in her opinions.

But before anybody could stay anything, they all heard a clapping sound. All turned to the sound and saw Khushi clapping with a wide smile.

"Wow. Amazing. What a performance. For a moment, I was truly deceived. You all got me to think you are really sending Sheetal out. And you all could understand my pain for a minute. But I must say it was wonderful performance. " Khushi said smiling widely.

"Khushi?" Arnav and all Raizadas looked confused.

"But I don't understand why are you all doing so much drama. First sending Sheetal out, then bringing her back and now this questioning and emotional blackmailing. Why doing so much drama? For making me believe. Or to convince me to back down from taking divorce. Then please don't. I already told you all I don't care if Sheetal stays here or not.

"For all I care, you all can keep Sheetal here and pamper her for your whole life. I don't care what you do with her. Just to make me believe, you all don't have do all this drama. Mamiji, you can keep your dear Sheetal Bitiya with you. You don't have to bother about me.

"Anyways when have you ever cared about me and my feelings. Just because I send a divorce paper, you all don't have to change all your priorities and try to do things according to my comforts. You all can go back to your old routine and keep ignoring me and act like I don't exist. It doesn't matter to me anymore.

"And for your happiness, let me tell you, Mamiji. You don't have to care about my comforts and discomfort anymore. One, I won't remain your daughter in law for long. Second, I won't be staying here in this house for long. Even though, your Sheetal Bitiya here, has failed to find a house for herself even after seven months of searching. I have managed to find a house for myself.

"Just some renovation work is going on there and then I have to arrange a few things. Then, I will be good to shift there. Don't worry. It won't take for long. I won't keep being a burden on you people for too long. Maximum a couple of weeks. Then, I will leave. I am sure, you people could tolerate me till then. After all, I am too easy to be ignored and forgotten.

"Anyways, I am not interested in this drama anymore. You all can continue with it, if you want. I have work to take care of and few shopping to do for my new house. So Bye. I am leaving. Now you guys can take care of Sheetal Bitiya very well without any disturbance. OK. Bye Guys." Saying that Khushi walked out after throwing them a sarcastic and disgusted look.

Raizadas stood shocked. They couldn't understand what just happened. Arnav closed his eyes in defeat. He felt like his life was leaving him when Khushi walked out. His knees buckled and he fell on his knees.

"Chote!!" Anjali hurried to hold him.

"Are you all happy now? This is what you all wanted right? See, she is leaving me. You all wanted this, right? See Mami, Khushi is leaving me. Forever. She even found a house. Are you happy now. Seeing her leaving this house. Are you happy. You wanted this, right. You all wanted this, right?" Arnav asked in pain and anger. Tears flew out of his eyes.

All the Raizadas felt their hearts breaking seeing him breaking down. They all had never seen him so broken. Not even when his mother died. He was numb then, but he had held himself strong. But now he is totally broken. Nani and Anjali cried and kept shaking their head. Mami looked down sadly. Akash, NK and Payal felt sad for him.

"I told you. I told you all to send this woman away. I told you all that I couldn't live without my Khushi. But you all don't care. You all bloody don't care. All you people want is her and her son. You don't even care whether you are hurting others for them. But you want them with you.

"Today, Khushi bared her heart out to you. She openly said about her pain. Still it didn't affect you all. All you care about is them. All it matters is to keep them with you. It doesn't matter what you have to do or whom you have to hurt for that, right?

"Then, fine. Do whatever you people want, I will also do what I feels like. From now on, I will only care about myself and my Khushi. You all don't care about us, right? Then, don't. I will also not care about you people. Keep your Sheetal and Arav with you, but don't expect anything from me now onwards. I also won't care about you people.

"For you people, they are most important than us, right. Then, from now onwards, we don't share any relation with you people. Now, don't expect me to be that old Arnav with you people. Keep pampering Arav and Sheetal. I also won't care about you all." Arnav said furiously and in pain.

"What are you saying, Chote?" Nani asked shocked. She felt her heart stop beating seeing her family breaking down.

"I am saying right, Nani. Me and Khushi are breaking apart. I told you all to keep this woman away from us. But nobody is bothered about it. If it was Di or Akash, would you all behave like this. No. We all know what happened during Di's time. All only cared about her. You all were ready to do anything for her. Now, when it was our time. Nobody cares.

"Since, nobody in this house is bothered about us. Then, why should I care about you all. For you all some outsiders are more important than us, right? So keep them with you. I also won't care about anyone from now onwards. For now on, my only family, my only concern is my Khushi. Nobody else." Arnav said sternly.

Raizadas stood shocked hearing his words. But Arnav was not bothered about that. He was hurt too much. Saying all that was bottled up inside him, He got up and started walking out. Seeing him going like that, Anjali started feeling guilty and worry filled her.

"Chote, please don't go like this.... Chote..." Anjali hurried behind him in worry. "Chote, please atleast have breakfast and go. You have to take your medicines, also." Anjali said in worry.

Hearing that, Arnav remembered something. He stopped and looked at his sister curiously. "Di, shall I ask you something?"

Anjali nodded her head confused.

"Do you really care about us or just pretending?" Arnav asked frowning confused.

Anjali gasped hearing that. "Are you doubting my love, Chote? Chote, you and Khushi are like my children. How can you think like that?" Anjali asked sadly.

Her heart breaking seeing the distrust in her brother's eyes. Her brother is her everything. She can never think harm for him. Knowingly and unknowingly, she had hurt him and Khushi many times. But she never meant to cause any harm to them nor wanted them to separate. They were her favourite couple. She loved them so much.

"You say I and Khushi are like your children. Few minutes back, Khushi walked out of that same door, empty stomach. You didn't try to stop her then. Why? She wasn't your child then. Or you only want to feed me because if I fall ill, then there will be nobody to fulfill your whims and fancies." Arnav asked sarcastically.

Anjali looked at him wide eyed hearing his accusation. She had no words to say or defend herself. She knew she was wrong. She stood shocked and scared seeing the extend of her brother's anger and distrust on her.

Arnav scoffed seeing her silent. "Thought so. You won't have anything to say." Arnav sneered. After glaring at everyone, he started walking out.

"Chote, please. Don't take out your anger on food. Have breakfast and go. You will fall ill, Chote." Anjali said pleading worried for his health.

"I don't want. Feed it to your dear Sheetalji and Arav itself." Arnav screamed and walked out.

Raizadas stood shocked seeing the turn of events. Nani fell on the couch in shock. Seeing that, Anjali hurried to her.

"Nani!" Anjali sat beside her and held her.

"It's all getting over. This family is breaking. Everything is ruining." Nani cried in shock.

"Nani, please calm down." Anjali tried to make her drink some water.

"How can I calm down, Anjali Bitiya? Didn't you see what happened now. What Chote and Khushi Bitiya said. Khushi Bitiya wants to leave this house. Chote doesn't want to keep any relation with anyone." She shook her head crying.

Then glaring angrily at Mami, Nani screamed, "Are you happy now, Manorama. You wanted this, right. Are you happy? Everything is ruined. This house's happiness, peace, everything is gone. Did you get what you wanted. Are you satisfied now?"

"Nani, please. You calm down. Don't take so much stress. It's not good for your health." Anjali said sadly.

"What's the use of being in good health and living long, Anjali Bitiya? To see my children in pain and suffering. First my daughter, then my granddaughter, now my grandson and granddaughter in law. You all are suffering and what could I do. See everything and keep quiet. I am done. It's better to die than living like this." Nani said crying bitterly.

"Please Nani, don't talk like this." Anjali cried.

"Or else what. I can't take this anymore. Everytime, my children are suffering and I had to stand helpless. It's killing me." Nani cried.

Anjali hugged her and then took her to her room. One by one, all left from there. At last, only Mami, Sheetal and Arav remained. Sheetal hoped Mami would ask her to stay. But Mami too left without saying anything.

Sheetal and Arav sat there clueless what to do. But they hoped that soon someone will come and tell them to stay here and show their rooms.

So next part is up. Thank you so much for all the votes and comments. I am not replying to any comments because I might just blabber and reveal the upcoming chapters. It will ruin the essence of the story. So sorry if anyone felt offended on not getting any reply.

So back to story. Sheetal is back, guys. I know you people didn't expect this. But then when I thought about this situation, I couldn't think of anything else happening if Arnav asks Sheetal to leave. Obviously, Sheetal wouldn't back off so easily after so much plotting and planning. She will definitely try to come back. And knowing Raizada's attitude, they will buy her silly excuses and take her back.

I think this chapter is justified. And once again there was a face off. Khushi v/s Raizadas. I really loved writing this part. Tell me how you all liked it. Also few words on Arnav. How you all felt about Arnav's stand.

Once again thank you so much for all the votes and comments. Please continue to do it for this and upcoming chapters too. And sorry to all those who felt pressurised to vote and comment because I set a target. Please vote and comment.
