The Elytrian was frantic, only being able to hide it when others were around. But when he was alone? That's and entirely different story.
Yeah, he was a mess.
Who could blame him? Tommy was- is like a son to him, and the way that multiple people could see the same thing was- surely it had to be real then, right?
His wings splayed out messily behind him as he ran through the forest, occasionally calling the name of the dead Avian. His shoes thudded against the ground, each time he turned his heels digging into the soft soil.
His sharp blue eyes darted around, his entire body freezing every time he saw a color that Tommy often had on him. He had to remind himself to make sure if it was really the boy, or if it was simply a flower.
---------
Tommy tore hungrily at the flesh of the already dead animal, gnawing at the spirit's bones. He didn't care if he looked like he hadn't eaten in years (or that he was just biting into air), he was hungry. His wings arched over the carcass as he ate, knowing no one else could see it to take it, but the instinct still took over.
Dickhead and Shithead exchanged glances, watching the boy with curiosity and concern. Yeah, they really needed to let Tommy go soon. They really thought they'd be found by now, but instead the boy's friends convinced everyone else.
Not that they were complaining, it was better that they tried to convince everyone else. It was their entire plan, actually.
And if it didnt work out...
Oh boy.

"Charlie, Charlie!" Ranboo and Jack called to the much smaller being. They followed the trail of slime, coming up to the man.
"Oh, hey guys, what's up?" Charlie asked, looking up at the taller males. He was basking in the sunlight, slime coating the rock he was sitting on.
"Tommy's gone, and uh, I know you can't see him, but you have to believe, and stuff, and ask Phil if you're confused, and we really need to find Tommy soon, and uh, please just try and trust us." Ranboo stumbled over his words, desperate to convince the origin, but also wanting to explain the most he could.
"You call that explaining, big man?" Jack seemed to have taken slight inspiration from Tommy's speech, using that phrase more often. Turning to Charlie, the blaze origin took a breath in, "What he means is..."
[after explaining]
"Oh." Charlie didn't seem phased. "Please don't believe everything Wilbur says, he's breaking you. He's getting into your head."
"You sound just like Phil." Jack growled under his breath, the flames in his eyes thrashing. "Just because you haven't seen him, doesn't mean he wasn't there. After all, how can an entire group of people hallucinate the same thing? Explain that."
"Science and shit," Charlie's tone hardened. "Leave me alone, guys. I'm trying to sleep."
"You're actually sunbathing." Ranboo said casually, "Sleeping in the sun means you'll get sun-burned, and that's no good."
"I'm covered in slime, how can I possibly get sunburnt?" Charlie rolled his eyes, but a smile was slowly showing.
"Your slime isn't capable of blocking the sun's harmful rays." Ranboo said the last part slightly sarcastically, honestly just wanting to regroup and hope that someone managed to convince someone.
"How would you know that?" Charlie layed back onto the rock, squirming and settling comfortably in.
"Because," Ranboo said, "It's lighting you on fire."
"Nice try, mem- WHAOW JESUS CHRIST, DUDE!" Charlie immediately scrambled off of the rock, falling backwards off of it and into a large puddle below. The water had been warmed by the sun, so the slime origin settled in immediately. His slime hissed as the fire died down, slowly getting quieter.
"Goodbye, then." Ranboo turned around, his tail whisking in a circle (see designs to understand), and the ender class stalked off. "Oh, and, think about Tommy, will you?"
Jack and Charlie watched the hybrid go, a sort of anger in his aura.
"What's with him?" Charlie gestured to the angry teen.
"I think he's just worried," Jack kneeled down and picked a daffodil, turning to follow Ranboo.
Charlie sat up from the puddle, furrowing his brows in confusion. Turning to soak his chest in the puddle, he turned and was met face-to-face with a very worried Schlatt.
Shouting in surprise and scrambling backwards, Charlie slowly calmed his speeding heart.
"Jesus christ, motherfucker!" Charlie stood up, the puddle coming to around his upper ankles now. "Warn me next time, holy shit!"
"Charlie. They've lost it." Schlatt tapped on Charlie's shoulder a few times, a sign that they had made up to mean 'someones here'. Charlie wasn't stupid, he got the hint immediately. Someone was suspicious that they wer- that they had involvement with Tommy being gone. Not that they did, of course.
Playing along, he spoke up with a worried smile. "I know, Ranboo and Jack just visited me."
"What'd they say?"
"Something about... something, I guess. Tommy being missing, even though he's dead."
"Exactly what they told me! Or, he. It was just Tubbo." Schlatt tilted his head.
"Wow," Charlie nodded a little. "Everyone must be a little bonkers, huh?"
"So it seems." Schlatt's ram ear twitched, facing backwards for a moment. The arachnid was silent, listening to things Charlie couldn't hear. "They're gone."
-------------------------
Tommy was tied up. Again.
Just kidding, he was laying on the floor of the cave. No one could keep Tommy down for long! (He was pretending like he had escaped on his own, and that Shithead and Dickhead didn't untie him.)
They told him to leave, to do something and go, but he couldn't. There was nothing to open, no doors, no way out. Not even air holes, those were way too small and long for him to scrape open and crawl through.
It had been another day, he thinks.
Another day in this.... this hell.
Why was he here, anyways? Why did they suddenly want him to leave?
Just as he stood and went back to a corner, he was knocked over his head. Collapsing forwards, black entered his vision again.
Spectator was slain by jschlatt.
