"A man can have anything that he wants if he so desired, but only if he is willing to sacrifice and fight for..."

Those words had constantly been told to Jack for many years as he had travelled the world like a mantra, like a rhythm. Told to him by some of the wisest and most experienced trainers and wrestlers that he had ever had the privilege and honor to be toe-to-toe with in the ring.

Ever since he had first put on a pair of boots and stepped into a wrestling ring: he had given up his blood, sweat, tears and even his own body for the sport that he'd come to love and for his family that he cherished more than anything in the world!

He had fought, and he had most certainly bled, but he never once regretted it for even a second. His family supported him and helped him through the worst of times, and wrestling was quite literally his second home. 

But now, a new chapter in his life began to open up, and with it: a whole load of new possibilities had opened up for him...the question was, though: was WWE ready to handle his level of craziness?

Alexa's Personal Observation:

I don't know why, but something tells me that something is about to happen that will change the business. Don't know why, let's call it a gut feeling. Maybe it's this mystery guy that Hunter has signed.

From what everyone had heard, myself included through Mickie and Nia, Triple H had signed up a new rising star from the indie scene over to NXT, but none of us knew who it was, or had been told anything about him either. Only Hunter himself had known, naturally.

Well, I guess Regal might also know what it is, since he is always told when somebody new gets signed up, but apart from that, nobody else knew. There were a few that I was guessing at, but one in particular that I kind of hoped for despite how unlikely it was or how it sounded.

His name was Jack Ryan, or 'The Dark Assassin' as he had been dubbed in the past. He was such a cool wrestler to watch in the ring, even in his most brutal matches. He may give others the chills, but I thought he was pretty badass. It didn't hurt that I was best friends with his sister either, Caitlin Ryan.

We had both formed a slow bond when we were in our teens. I helped her get out of her shell, and we both would always talk to each other about our problems. Even when I started working with WWE and she worked in other companies with her family: we kept in touch and remained very close friends. We helped each other out in the toughest times, and she came to a number of special occasions.

She was there when I won my first title at TLC 2016, she came to a lot of my birthdays and came backstage to watch some of my matches whenever she could...and she was there for me both physically and on the phone when I needed someone to talk to after me and Murphy broke up... 

She in turn would introduce me to her family in one form or another. Her adopted sister, Barbara, when she would bring her to a few of the shows I was on, and we became fast friends...her mum before she tragically passed away from cancer when I came to support her...and then her brother Jack.

Well, technically I haven't met him in person yet, just a few brief passing glances, including the aforementioned time with his mum, but Cait did show me pictures she had taken of him with his family or just his sisters, or of him and his cute little daughter, Angel, but he often always had face paint on or sunglasses as Cait told me was apparently camera shy. 

To be honest, I had always wanted to meet him, as I will admit I did sort of form a crush for this mysterious brother of hers for a while. 

As I arrived at NXT, alongside a few others who had wanted to see this mystery person who'd signed with the brand debut tonight, people like Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, Becky and Bayley, and even Samoa Joe surprisingly: I couldn't help but notice others were either talking or whispering about who the mystery person could be.

"Guess we're not the only ones who are curious then." Becky chimed as we sat down in catering to watch the paperview. Soon I got a text on my phone, and a smile plastered on my face when I saw that it was from Cait.

"Who's it from, Lexi?" Bayley asked me as I looked through the text I'd got, and I showed the others. "It's from my friend Caitlin. She sent me some pictures from the last event she was at at New Japan." I explained as I flipped through the pictures. When the girls saw any pictures involving her with Angel, they both went "awww". 

"She's a cutie! Is she Caity's daughter?" Bayley asked me, calling Cait by the Caity nickname we sometimes called her, as she had met the girls before as well as some of my other girl friends. Surprisingly though, Balor was the one to answer the question as he saw the pictures too.

"Nah, that's her niece. Her brother, Jack is the dad." "How do you know, Finn?" I asked, surprised that he knew if I'm being honest. "I knew him, hell so does Styles, Gallows and Anderson. We were all buddies at NJPW." he clarrified, surprising us girls, but so was what Rollins and Joe said next. 

""Same here.""They both said. "I had a few matches with him ROH. Hell, even held the tag titles with him once." Rollin's clarrified before Joe followed off by saying "I fought him loads of times in TNA. Even dropped the X Division title to him once."

Eventually we all fell into a comfortable silence as we watched the paperview, waiting to see just who it was who was going to debut...but boy, were we in for a shock.

End of pov.:

The paperview was a hell raising and fantastic event, and something much needed for a Royal Rumble weekend! In the Pre-Show: "The Sky Pirates" defeated Shayna Baszler's friends, Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke, whilst "The Forgotten Sons" defeated "The Street Profits". 

Were as in the main program: "The War Raiders" defeated "The Undisputed Era" to win the NXT Tag Team Championships, much to the elation of a lot of the fans and the frustrations of "Undisputed Era", Matt Riddle defeated Kassius Ohno via submission, and Johnny Gargano defeated Ricochet to win the NXT North American Championship, much to a lot of peoples surprise.

Soon enough, Adam Cole came out to the ring along with the rest of "Undisputed Era", with both Roderick and Kyle have very pissed off looks on their faces. As they made their way to the ring, Adam grabbed a microphone and started pacing around in the ring looking very annoyed. 

"Okay, first things! What the f***! Is going on tonight!?! THIS was supposed to be "Undisputed Era's" night when Roderick and Kyle were SUPPOSED to keep those tag titles!" he glared at his team mates for their failure at retaining the titles, before soon suddenly the lights began to go down, the arena becoming a lot more darker and chilling! Then suddenly, a dark blood red mist-like fog began to form around the arena, much to the confusion of the crowd, "The Undisputed Era", and many of the wrestlers out the back.

Then soon, a young female that had pitch black long hair with both icy silver and blood red streaks in it that lowered down towards where her lower back begins, and she was wearing all black clothing: black tight jeans, black shirt, black boots, and a large black trench coat of sorts. She also had a rather cool jaw mask that went from near the top of her nose and covered her jaw. It also had a number of skulls on it...but one person in the back recognised her almost immediately...

(Imagine this though with the hair described and the clothes described).

The crowd, who began to recognize her after a bit, soon popped like mad when they saw her. She had a microphone in her hand, and soon began to speak with an creepy edge to her voice, pacing on the top of the ramp with a psychotic look in her eyes. 

"Oh, Adam Cole! Your nightmare has only just begun! You called him out last week to a fight! Well, you're not getting a fight...You're getting a WAR!!!" As soon as she had spoken that, the lights suddenly went out, covering the entire arena in pitch darkness...and then suddenly, the lights returned on, and the crowd went ballistic in cheers as, as soon as the lights came back on, there stood Jack Ryan himself, glaring a hole right through "The Undisputed Era".

Everyone was going ballistic at seeing the rising indie star in an NXT ring, and even now put two-and-two together that he was Triple H's secret star signing. They weren't the only ones who were going mad as well, stars in the back were too! 

Jack wasted no time getting into action, immediately rushing all 4 members of "Undisputed Era" and taking them down with a massive clothesline that forced them to regroup out the ring! But that was their mistake: as immediately as the 4 huddled together, "The Dark Assassin" himself sprinted towards the far away turnbuckle at high speed, bouncing off the ropes, before running and diving over the turnbuckles in front of "Undisputed Era" and took them down with a Suicide Swantom Bomb, taking all 4 of them down with precision and with the elegance of a Cruiserweight!

Almost immediately after hitting the move, he was jumping up onto his feet in similar fashion to Shawn Michaels back in the day, and let out a war cry that sent a chill down his enemies spines, but sent the fans into cheers! He then grabbed Adam Cole and threw him into the ring, before jumping up onto the apron, and then spring-boarding himself off the top rope into a Shooting Star Press onto Cole, before the ref rang the bell to start the match...the war had begun! 

Alexa's Personal Observation:

Oh. My. Freaking. GOD!!! He's here! He's actually freaking here! And not just him, but Caitlin's here with him too! Jack Ryan in NXT! As soon as Cait had appeared, I had been the first one to point it out to the others like a over-excited school girl...and then when her brother appeared, we popped like hell as soon as we saw him! 

I could remember the guys reactions: as soon as Jack had appeared, Finn had gotten up and practically made his chair fall on the floor in shock before shouting "No freakin' way!", Seth and Joe were practically on the edge of their seats as well with looks of surprise on their faces, and both Bayley and Becky screamed in surprise too like me. 

What took place next was 15 minutes of pure brutality and shocking moments! Just watching Jack in action against Adam was just breathtaking to behold! He certainly made Adam look strong in this match, but Jack just tore down the fence in terms of epic showdowns!

It was pretty obvious that Jack wasn't a Cruiserweight, but the way he moved and did some of his moves, you'd never think that he couldn't become one or that he wasn't trained by a Cruiserweight. Most of his offence was brutal and violent, but he also pulled off spots that you'd never imagine a Heavyweight pulling off. Then again, that goes the same with some other non-Cruiserweights too I suppose.

At one point during the match: he ducked an attempted Clothesline from Cole, rebounded off the ropes at high-speed...and then just as quickly jumped up and hit him with a Frankensteiner-like move like it was nothing! 

And whenever he locked in a submission move, which was rare in the match, he REALLY locked it in tight to the point we were all cringing! Even Joe was cringing at the submission moves, and his submissions look brutal as they already are! 

There was never a dull moment in the match, and the fans seemed to be loving every single second to it just as we were. When it was coming near to the end of the match: the ref got knocked down and the rest of "Undisputed Era" attempted to get into the ring, but Caitlin, who I had immediately recognised when she had made her appearance earlier, came up behind O'Reilly and Fish and pulled them down from the apron.

After she had she immediately span around and hit Fish with a spinning Superkick, before ducking an attempted Clothesline attempted by O'Reilly and hitting a second spinning Superkick to him and knocking him down too, drawing the attention of Strong who received a Chokeslam from Jack off the apron to the floor for his troubles! 

What Jack hadn't seen though was Cole coming into the ring with a steel chair in hand, and immediately upon arriving: he cracked the chair with a smack over Jack's back, making everyone cringe...but, besides from a slight flinch...he simply turned around and looked at Cole with a glare like the chair shot hadn't even hurt him! 

"No freakin' way!" I heard Becky say as we all saw this, and to be honest that was my own reaction to that as well, though the boys were just smirking at that a bit as if this. He then went on to taunt Cole on step further but jabbing one of his fingers at his skull as if saying through his body language "Hit me right here!" 

And Cole tried to as well as he swung the chair at him...and then Jack straight up punched the chair out of Cole's hands out of the ring, and we could all hear the impact of the punch smacking the chair! Then, almost immediately, he spun his body around and connected with a spinning Superkick similar to what Caitlin did whilst Cole was stunned into inaction. I think his version is called the "Destruction Kick".

Almost immediately upon hitting the kick, he grabbed Cole and set him with one of his many awesome finishing moves: "The Fallen Ride"; a sit-out version of The Undertaker's old "Last Ride" move, which sent the fans even more crazy, especially when he hit it dead in the center of the ring.

1 - 2 - 3!

"You're winner...JACK RYAN!!!" We all heard the announcer say, and then both Balor and Rollins went nuts with vocal cheers as soon as the 3 count was done, as did myself and the fans watching. Joe was clapping and smirking, whilst Becky and Bayley were clapping and whooping impressed. The music he had in the background was rather surprising. 

Caitlin joined her brother in the ring as he began to slowly stand up with a fierce look on his face, moving his fingers across his throat in like someone running a blade over their neck, though his fingers had a pistol like pose to them, before pointing his hand down at Cole and acting like he was shooting him. 

I don't know how long I ended up staring at him, but I thought that he looked rather good looking just from how he looked on the screen alone. It must of gone noticed though, because Becky ended up nudging me to catch my attention, and the others minus Joe and Finn had smirks on their faces.

"What?" I asked them, just outright confused by the stares. "Somebody has a crush on mister tall, dark and mysterious. And who happens to be her best friends brother." Becky teased, nudging my shoulder a bit, causing me to roll my eyes and hide a slowly forming blush. "I-I do not!" I protested, but before the others could argue more on the subject: Finn soon got up out of the seat he recovered not too long ago and said "Come on! Let's go see him." 

It took us a short time to find them, and when we did it was when both Cait and her brother Jack were exiting the arena, with Jack holding/carrying his adorable daughter in his arms, and both adults were being hugged by all the members of "Undisputed Era". We could just about hear what was being said. 

"Good to see you two again! Been too long since last time." Cole was saying, and Cait laughed a bit in agreement, whilst Jack smiled a bit and nodded as he fist bumped the 4 of them with his free hand. They seemed to be really friendly with each other. I soon got an idea and ran ahead of the others, before jumping up on Caity's back smirking. 

"Guess who!?" I teased, and got down quickly before she pulled me into a nearly crushing hug. "Lexi!" she said with a smile and completely friendly, a complete 180 flip on how she was earlier in the ring. "It's so good to see you!" she said to me with a genuine smile, and I smiled back nodding as the others came over, and she ended up hugging Bayley and Becky as well.

"Hey girls! How've you been!?" she knew of my girly friends from whenever she came to shows, or when she was hanging out with us for the day in the past. So she was like a sister to them as much as she was to me. 

"Great!" they both said as they hugged Caitlin. The boys soon came over and smirked as they went over to Jack, Finn was the first to speak. "Jack Ryan, as I live and breath!" He smirked a bit and bro hugged Balor with his free arm whilst holding his daughter in the other arm. 

"It's been too long, Devitt." He then did the same with Joe and Rollins, as well as fist bumping them. "Good to see you too Colby and Joe." he said. Rollins looked to Angel, who smiled upon seeing "The Kingslayer", before saying. "Man this little one's grown since I last saw ya!" he teased, ruffling her hair. I saw all of this and found it rather heart warming.

Cait must have noticed this, as she soon brought us girls over to Jack as he was catching up with the guys and "Undisputed Era" with his little girl in his arm. She tapped her brothers shoulder and he looked over before she spoke. 

"Jackie, these are some of my friends that I told you about. Becky Lynch, Bayley and my bestie Alexa Bliss. Or otherwise known as Rebecca, Pamela and Alexis, or Lexi as we call her." She then looked to us and said equally eagerly "Girls, this is my brother Jack." 

We all smiled and waved to him, though I had to hide a blush as pictures and videos don't do him any justice as to how good he looked, before I said "Pleased to finally meet you Jack. Caity talks about you a lot." 

What I didn't expect was how shy he became so suddenly, he smiled a little, sure, but he looked nervous around us and held his hand out to us, simply saying. "Hello." I found his shyness rather cute in a way, and slowly shook his hand. 

I couldn't help but notice the scars on his arms, and his face, and most of them didn't look like they healed properly. He must have noticed because he began to turn his head away a bit and slowly pulled his hand away. 

"Sooo, you're both with NXT now? Took you long enough to get here." Joe said with a smirk, which caused Jack to just roll his eyes a bit as a response, but Caity laughed. "You know how stubborn my brother can be, Finn. Besides, he only accepted the offer because of Triple H. He let Jack have complete creative control over how he is booked." 

"Wait he did!?" both me and the girls asked in surprise. That was something I never thought would happen, especially for someone he signed in secret. I noticed that Jack was soon looking to his daughter and checking on her, a small smile appearing on his face for the briefest of moments, before soon speaking.

"Sorry. I need to get Angel to sleep." he said, and I suddenly felt a feeling of sadness at him leaving. "You sure you can't come out tonight? We've got a lot of catching up to do buddy." Rollins said, and Jack looked a little conflicted and looked to Caitlin. I swear they must be able to speak mentally because she just smiled and nodded to her brother before speaking.

"Go on. I'll take Angel back. I want to catch up with the girls anyway, and so will Barbara." I noticed that she had put her hand on his arm in a comforting manner as she was speaking to her brother, and I couldn't help but wonder why, but we saw him slowly nodding and handing over his cutie of a daughter to Caitlin.

"Okay." he said, before kissing his daughter on the top of her head and whispering to her "Be good for your Auntie Cait, okay?" Angel hugged him briefly and had an adorable little smile on her face, saying. "Love you dada." It brought a smile and blush to his face before the Cait began walking with us and Angel away.

As we did walk away, I couldn't help but look over towards Jack as from the corner of my eyes as I saw him brush his hands slowly across his hair...and I thought I saw pain in his eyes. Needless to say though, I had a feeling that this was the beginning of something...little did I know what it was at the time....

Author's Side-Note: I hope the beginning of this chapter and story was okay. It wasn't perfect, I know that, and it was really hard to come up with, but I got inspiration for this from a number of really awesome stories by amazing author's, and I wanted to give it a try. 

Now, I am debating in adding additional oc's to the story, but it will all depend on your opinions, and it will mostly be involving Jack and Alexa, and this story will have a number of twists to them at times as well as us getting a better insight into Jack as the story goes on.
