INTRODUCTION:

Moving houses is stressful enough, moving to a new country is entirely worse, but here is what takes the cake, having a person from another universe dropped onto you while you're walking in to observe your school's entrance exam. That is just HELL! It also sounds too cliché, what are we in an anime or something? Never mind that, my body hurts and the person was heavy, it does not help that I am minorly allergic to feathers. Right, time to backtrack slightly, I bet you are all wondering what I'm talking about; I'm Stevie Reed and I'm a Latin-American citizen who has just moved to Japan because my Mother bought a better company. I am screwed.

I was harmlessly walking into the stadium stands to watch my future classmates battle it out to be in the top class when a person was dropped on me, literally! I could have DIED! Okay that is a little overkill, but I am a quietly dramatic person, and I am telling you how it is. Or shall I say from the person that crushed me.

Chapter 1:

Rika's PoV

One minute you're meeting up with your Osprey and Crow friends, the next you're falling into a canyon. I have never done anything wrong, except maybe when I signed up to this military school meant for Eagles.

Some context to this matter: Hi my name's Rika Fuuyu and I'm an Osprey. Normally when my kind wants to join the military, we go into coast guarding or into the Navy. When I was awarded a scholarship into the army school, I happily accepted as my friend Ky also happened to be accepted. I couldn't believe we'd get the chance to save people's lives like the heroes I read about! We'd just come into this school and the entire alumni relentlessly tortured us along with a crow named Scra. Today, I was invited out by the popular Eagles; I was extremely suspicious of their motives as this never happened, and asked Ky to watch from a distance just in case something went sideways since my wings were broken from a training exercise that went wrong earlier and I wouldn't be able to get myself out. I wish I wasn't right.

They pushed me from the nearby cliff into the canyon below. As I was descending rapidly, I fell through an odd-looking black mist that caused me to fall on top of a strange girl without wings. Miraculously I was no longer in the canyon, which was worse.

Stevie's PoV:

This brings us to me being flattened by the strange sky girl. She looked exactly the same as everyone else in the world, besides the wings protruding from her back. That quirk was extremely rare... I wonder who her parents are... Pro Hero Hawks and somebody else.... No- He's too young to have children...And her skin tone is too different to his, hers is darker and her eyes are blue...Atlantic blue... She also doesn't look Japanese either so that's a dead giveaway. I wonder, does she come from America too?

Snapping myself out of the daze I was in (caused by me hitting my head on the floor...I'm totally not into girls...) and watched as she stood up; ultimately getting off of me and staggered slightly. She seemed dazed too, swaying on her feet. Ultimately, she looked like she'd been through hell and back judging by her appearance; tussled hair, dirty clothes littered with tears and... Broken wings. She must have really taken a fall for her wings to end up that way. Possibly a fall from the top of the Grand Canyon may cause that much damage.

Rika's PoV.

At least I landed on something soft, wait squishy?... Shit these are titties. I jump up and back almost immediately and tried my best not fall back on the ground or the titties. I looked at the fine ass girl and noticed something strange. Wait... Where in gods name are her wings? Did she do something bad at her age? Woah her hair is bright red likes cherries and her eyes are like emeralds, though her skin is almost the same as mine, though slightly lighter. I have to ask...

"Where the fuck are your wings? Who did you kill? What breed are you?" The only thing weirder than her appearance was her ability to answer me without moving her lips

'What the hell are you talking about?! I've never had wings, I've certainly never killed anyone and the last time I checked I was Latin-American.'

Waa.... "What are those words? Latoone-Americano? Is that a fancy order from a coffee shop or something? You're not making sense, speak Japanese properly!" The girl (Who was still on the floor and only just beginning to get up) scowled at me and answered rather strangely

'What the fuck Richard?! No wait you probably won't understand that, what the fuck?!'

I growled and through gritted teeth "Okay before I ask any other questions, what the fuck is your name?"

'I'm Stevie Reed...'

"What so like you're from the East coast?"

"East Coast? I am from the West Coast of America. Now Since you are being so rude how about I ask for your name?"

"Well my name is Rika Fuuyu and I am a Cadet from the Roost, it's a prestigious military academy."

"The Roost? You mean the Army Base that has been closed for almost 179 years due to illegal experimentation in World War 1? Are you on drugs?'

"I am only on sleeping meds and some anxiety meds."

"How many have you taken exactly? Wait, never mind"

"I haven't taken any today," the other girl sighed slightly the first noise that wasn't from her mind

"Sorry for judging you that quickly but you should also apologise for using me as a landing pad!" She said begrudgingly.

"I am sorry for landing on your titties"

"ahfurncuenfuenfuvfufhhwjfogneopl. Ok apology accepted" she seemed to stutter with out moving her lips, how does she do it?

Stevie's PoV

Okay this girl really has no filter- She needs to learn not to be so blunt and hold her tongue if she ever wants a chance at joining the hero school, or she's going to get relentlessly bullied and won't become a good hero. It was then I looked off to the side and noticed just how mangled her wings really were, 'Oh sweet mother of Jesus! Are your wings okay?! Here come with me, I'll take you to the infirmary!' I didn't let her object or refuse and instead grabbed her arm and began dragging her away to the infirmary as carefully as possible, if she tried to resist I'd have no problem carrying her over my shoulder like the true gentlewoman I am. What I didn't notice, was that we were being watched by the judges of the school's entrance exam, lucky us. I knew that by taking this girl to get help I would end up missing my turn in the exam, but an injured person is more important than a test.

Rika PoV

I have no clue what the hell this girl is trying to do, but she seems nice enough to take me to the infirmary for the damage she caused my wings. Those stupid Eagles! They don't care that I most likely could've died. Ky must be so worried for me, I saw him begin making his way after me when I began falling, what if he's here too! But... he didn't fall on top of Stevie... As I looked around, people had bird heads and engines in the back of their legs. A guy had a speech bubble for a head, I've only ever seen that in my comics! I started to get really excited, but also extremely scared. This isn't normal, where are their wings, why do they look so different, why can I not tell if they're Eagles or Crows? I tried to get out of her grip, her touching me was too much at the moment. Stevie as she said was confused while I just wanted to get away from this madness. People with strange extra appendages shouldn't exist and certainly shouldn't be treated like they're normal, right?

Stevie's PoV

Rika, or at least I think that's her real name, tried to struggle out of my grip; my guess is she'd seen the two maybe students battling it out for a spot in top class. I turned to her with a mildly annoyed glare, 'Seriously? Are you freaking out because...' I glanced up at the board above the stadium and looked over it briefly, 'Iida and Tokoyami are fighting? All they're doing is using their quirks to fight for a top place in school, but you knew that already right? That's why you're here, for the entrance exam?'

"What the fuck is a quirk?! And what's the entrance exam for, why not just let them in?"
