Chapter Four: 5+1=?
    Kairi scoffs as she sat her stuff in the hot pink room filled with barbie dolls and sleeping beauty drawings and she says "seriously? I have to stay in this childs room?" roxas and sora walk past the door and roxas says "well we didn't think you would be moving in with us we just made this room just for xion since you threw that hissy fit at the wedding" she scoffs and tried sliding her bed in the corner and she says "it wasn't a hissy fit ok?".

Roxas rolls his eyes and starts to walk out the door and she says "hey can you help me unpack?" roxas turns around and crosses his arms and says "your not gonna bash me for being gay are you?" she scoffs and shakes her head and he says "why don't I believe you?" she rolls her eyes and stands next to the window and asks "don't you trust me?" roxas smirks and says "trust has to be earned" she shakes her head and asks "a simple yes or no would of worked" roxas starts walking out the door but half way he turns around and says "don't worry I wouldn't walk that far to help you".

He walks out the door and walks down to his room and he starts drawing she peaks out the door to see him drawing on a easel and after a hour he goes and gets a shower she see's he left she walks to see what he was drawing sora wasn't in the room everyone was outside and she see's the picture he had been working on it was a picture of him and sora? walking down the beach hand in hand kissing.

She raises a hand to her mouth and she looks down at the solid dark black paint and she paints it black and messes it up and she goes down to the kitchen to wipe off the paint she had got on her hands she goes outside past everyone and she starts walking down the street when she comes back she see's roxas on the porch upset and sora holding him sora looks up at her and screams "WHAT DID WE DO TO YOU? HUH?" zack crosses his arms and gets between them and kairi screams "HE'S YOUR STEP BROTHER AND YOUR FUCKING HIM THATS DISCUSTING" zack shh's her and says "they have my permission kairi and they haven't had sex at all no law has been broken".

She crosses her arms and roxas holds back sora and tells him to calm down roxas steps up and looks at her and grabs her hand and see's some leftover black paint under her fingernails and he backhands her everyone gasps kairi holds a hand to her cheek and he says "if you ever come in my room again without me knowing i'll personally rip your red hair out and thats not a threat thats a promise".

She looks at him and runs inside and roxas looks to zack and says "i'm sorry I shouldn't had backhanded her I was just mad because the person who bought those easels and the paint and the canvass's I didn't buy them they were a gift but it makes me mad.Dad if you don't get a hold on her I will" he nodds and pats his shoulder and sora hugs him and xion walks up to her room and hears kairi crying she opens the door and she says "I wanna be alone" xion closes the door and says "sissy? why did you do that to roxas's drawing?".

She clears her throat and xion sits on her bed and kairi covers her face with a pillow and raises up her head and says "do you wanna know the truth xion?" she smiles and mmm hmms and kairi turns over and says "I want what they want I want happiness I guess i'm just jealous you see they follow their hearts I wish I could follow mine".

Xion scoots closer and says "you can sissy tell them and they'll forgive you" she shakes her head and she says "I can't they hate me" xion shakes her head and says "no they don't come on when was the last time you told dad you loved him?" tears streaming down her cheeks and xion wipes them away and says "3 to 4 years ago".

Xion grabs her hand and leads her outside and sora frowns at her and roxas half smiles and everyone turns around and xion says "dad sis has something to say" zack meets her gaze all eyes was on her and kairi says "i'm sorry to all of you the truth is i've always been jealous of sora and that day of the wedding I just wish that I could follow my heart and love who I want to love thats what I was jealous of and sora I know its gonna take time for me to earn your trust and your love back but I truly am sorry and dad".

He looks at her she was crying now and she says "i've acted like such a brat and mom always told me that you didn't want me like you didn't put up a fight like you did with sora when you was fighting custody for him and I was stupid enough to believe it and that day when you called about the video and thats the day I started thinking that maybe he does care and i'm sorry for doubting your love and I know sorry doesn't make up for it but I truly am deeply sorry and can you find it in your hearts to give me a second chance to prove that i'm serious".

Zack had a tear strolling down his cheek sora had his arms crossed and xion still had her hand and roxas says "i'm sorry for backhanding you" she waves it off and says "I deserved it" roxas half smiles and zack says "of course you can have a second chance I was never mad at you to begin with your mother yeah I was mad at her but your my baby girl ok she can be replaced all of my kids and my husband can't be".

Xion smiles and zack walks down to them and hugs her kairi starts crying and she mumbles into his shirt "I Love You Daddy" zack rubs her head and he exclaims and says "I love you too Sweetheart" sora looks over to roxas and roxas says "i'm not asking you to forgive her now but go and hug your sister".

Sora shakes his head and roxas exhales and says "you never know how long you have with your siblings noone is promised tomorrow sor if she got hit by a bus or killed tomorrow wouldn't you feel bad that the last words you said to her was what did we do to you? or I wish you was never born?".

Sora looks over at him and roxas gives him the look and sora thinks he's right and you know it when everyone was finished hugging kairi looks at him and sora had one tear streaming down his cheek he stands in front of her and says "we'll probably never be the same after this but I don't wanna be those people that the last thing they said to someone they loved was I hate you or I wish you had never been born" she holds her head low and she says "me neither" sora smiles and hugs her she hugs him too and she joins them at the dinner table and kairi hugs cloud and says "i'm sorry I ruined your wedding".

Cloud pats her head and hugs her tighter and says "you didn't ruin it you livened it up" she snickers and zack says "see thats why I love him he can see the greatness and pureness of the heart" kairi smiles and asks as they set the table "hey uh dad?" he looks to her and asks "how did...you know know that you liked cloud?".

Cloud snickers and kairi adds on "how did you know that you liked guys is what I was getting at?" he smiles as cloud fixes xions plate and says "well you sorta deep down know because I mean you pay more attention to the same sex then the opposite sex" she nodds and zack smiles at her and asks "why?" kairi blushes and rubs her ruby red locks and says "no reason just wondering" roxas smiles and says "hey kairi I have a girl thats one of my friends that gives vocal lessons if your interested" kairi's face falls down and says "i'm really into photography not singing that was kinda forced by mom".

Roxas exclaims and says "oh ok uh well I know someone who does pictures and she does the easel stuff like I do she also draws with black chalk thats really good also it's one of my favorites she does a class the basics of art I go like 2 to 3 times a week if you wanna join me sometime".

Kairi smiles and nodds and says "sure I'd like that does she just do the painting or does she do camera and outside work?" roxas nodds as he swallows his food and says "she does both" zack smiles at cloud its like everything was falling into place.Roxas walked up to his room and layed on his bed not to long after that sora came up there and layed on his bed next to him and sora says "you truly amaze me" roxas snickers and says "I get it from my dad my pure heart" sora smiles and puts his arm around roxas's shoulder and says "I get it from my dad too".

Roxas turns and looks at sora and props his head on his shoulder sora kisses the top of his head and roxas asks "did you ever think you would fall for your step brother?" sora snickers and says "no I didn't" roxas smiles and sora says "your heart is what I fell in love with".

Roxas blushes and holds his head low and sora puts his finger under his chin so he could meet his gaze and sora says "I Love You" roxas smiles and leans in and kisses him on the lips it was soft like the first kiss they had and they break away and roxas says "I Love You Too" sora smiles and they cuddle for the rest of the day until xion wakes up and walks downstairs to get a glass of milk and kairi wakes up it was raining and thundering outside she see's xions empty bed and gets up and walks downstairs to see her looking in the fridge she smiles and asks "sis are you ok?".

Xion shakes her head kairi smiles and says "how bout we watch movies in the living room if your scared" xion smiles and nodds she fixes the glass of milk and they watch my little pony friendship is magic on netflix and the next morning kairi was laying on the couch with xion on top of her chest she was woken up by cloud and zack walking into the living room and zack smiles and asks "why did ya'll sleep down here?".

Kairi stretches her arms out and says "there was a storm last night and it scared xion and I told her we would watch movies until we fell asleep" zack smiles and cloud says "looks like you and your sister had a sleepover huh?" kairi smiles and pulls down her shorts they was really short and xion wakes up and asks "what time is it?".

Cloud giggles and says "its one o'clock you better get ready kairi that art class thing that roxas goes to is today and it starts at two" kairi nodds and goes and picks out some clothes and gets a shower and puts on her eyeliner and mascara and she puts on a tank top that has a peace sign on it and blue jean shorts and roxas gets a shower and gets ready and she grabs a notebook and when she walks out she goes in roxas's room and he asks "you ready?".

She smiles and nodds and he asks "is that the only notebook you have?" she nodds and says "why whats wrong with it?" roxas waves a hand at her and says "no its not that its here use one of mine its not like a regular notebook its a sketchbook so here" he hands her one he hasn't used and he says "if your gonna go with me to my art class you need the proper tools".

She giggles and see's sora still asleep she rolls her eyes and roxas grabs his bag and goes over to sora and says "babe i'm gone i'll be back later ok?" sora wakes up and says "ok love you" roxas smiles and blushes kairi see's this and he says "love you too babe" they walk out the door and roxas says "guys we will be back later going to our class".

Cloud and zack wave them off it was walking distance and they arrive at the art class and roxas introduces kairi to a blonde girl who is she? roxas says "kairi this is namine she's one of my good friends and is also the teachers aid here she taught me everything about drawing" kairi smiles and shakes her hand and namine says "hi there i'm namine".

Kairi blushes and smiles and says "i'm his stepsister kairi" namine smiles and says "this is zacks daughter?" roxas nodds and kairi giggles and says "yeah I am" namine smiles and lets go of her hand and says "you look like your mom thats where you get the red hair I guess" kairi frowns and nodds and roxas says "oh come on she doesn't look like aerith she looks like me can't you see the family resemblance?".

Kairi giggles and namine see's what he is doing and nodds and says "yeah I can" they sit down at their stations and the teacher she says "ok today were gonna be learning alittle bit about the primary colors of light ok and then on wedesday we will be outside taking pictures with our camera's and I want you to draw what kind of flower that best resembles you not just from the outside but in as well thats the assignment today now who knows the primary colors of light?".

Roxas and namine raise there hands at the same time namine looks to roxas and nodds like go ahead and he says "they are lime green yellow red and purple?" the teacher nodds and smiles and says "thats good roxas" he smiles and kairi thought for a minute what flower does best describe me?.

She smiles and starts drawing she grabs a brush from the front and a cup of water and grabs her paint and dips her brush in red and starts drawing away by the time she was finished with the first few namine walks over to her and kairi asks "uh sorry to ask this but how do I make the roses brighter?".

Namine smiles and grabs her brush and she grabs the orange acrylic paint and the white paint and began to mix and the red paint began getting brighter and brighter and namine says "its an old trick my dad taught me they say never to mix orange and red with white because you never know how its gonna turn out it could be to bright or an off color but if you do just maybe one squeeze of white thats the secret the white is what sets it off".

Kairi smiles and says "thanks" namine blushes and walks back to her seat roxas looks over to kairi and gives her a look kairi sticks her tongue out at him he giggles the teacher comes around and is looking at the paintings and when she gets over to kairi's she gasps she turns around and kairi asks "what did I do something wrong?".

The teacher smiles and laughs and says "no my darling this is beautiful how did you get that bright of a red? I mean look at this painting I made this one look at the color difference" kairi looked back and forth and she looks to namine and smiles and she told the teacher while still looking at namine "sorry ma'am but the way I did it its a secret".

The teacher smiles and namine blushes and kairi asks "can we take these home?" the teacher nodds kairi finshes the painting the class started at 2 and ended at 7:30 they walked home and roxas asks "how did you get that color red?" kairi smiles at the thought of namine and says "I told you its a secret I can't tell ok?" roxas sighs and says "nice job with the painting by the way what does your picture say to you?".

She looks at the painting and seen a rose bush with thorns and ruby red roses and in the background was a tower in which the girl was imprisoned too she had been locked away by her mother telling her that her father never cared she stayed in that tower for 4 whole years until she decides to climb down from her tower and go back to the one true place she had called home roxas looks at her and says "kairi you ok?".

She smiles and nodds and says "whats your picture say to you?" he smiles and says "just that I have a pure heart and I bring happiness to whoever I meet thats why the sunflower is my favorite flower" kairi smiles as they walk into the house and was ambushed with hugs and xion asks "sis did you have fun?".

She smiles and shows her the painting and says "yeah I did" cloud gasps and says "kairi thats beautiful" she smiles and says "so roxas asked what does my picture say to me ya'll wanna know?" zack smiles as kairi sits at the kitchen table and she says it while looking at the picture "the rose bush is me the assignment was pick a flower that best resembles you not just on the outside but in and I have thorns but thats because when you first meet me I put up a tough front we all have thorns and the tower means there was a girl who was locked away in a tower by her mother and was told her father never cared about her she stayed in that tower for 4 whole years until one day she decides she doesn't wanna be imprisoned anymore she climbs down and goes back to the one place she called home".

Cloud smiles and says "I think this painting deserves to be put in the living room whats yours say roxas?" sora smiles and roxas shows them the bright yellow field of sunflowers and roxas says "because of my pure heart I bring light and love to whoever I meet" cloud smiles and kisses his head same to kairi and he says "zack what do you say we hang up these paintings in the living room?" he smiles and grabs a nail and hammer he gets a ladder and he puts the sunflower on one side of the mantle and the rose one on the other side kairi smiles and looks at her painting in such awe it truly was a beautiful piece of work wait was she talking about the painting or namine?.
