Chapter 7

Releasing a small smile, I relax into the bus seat, running my fingers through my sons hair as we drive toward the site where the students will be conducting their training camp. Aizawa, much like Hiro, had the same idea, of falling asleep on the bus.

Leaving me to tend to the crazy class.

Shoto, being the sweet boy he is, sat behind me, reading through a small book he had packed to keep himself occupied throughout the trip, a small hum or gasp leaving his lips as he reads on, he was getting really into it. It isn't often Shoto can spare time for himself, with training for his hero aspirations and occupied with his school work, he can't have any time to himself. It's nice that he's got an hour or two to read a book.

I couldn't help but giggle as my eyes flit toward my son and I see Hiro snuggle into Aizawa's sleeping bag. The black haired male wakes up briefly with a chuckle, asking me for permission to let him in. Without a moment of hesitation, I nod, smiling as Aizawa gently picks Hiro up and places him on his chest before zipping the sleeping bag up before falling back asleep, holding him close. Hiro immediately snuggles into him and snoozes.

Aizawa, much like the rest of the class, has grown an attachment to the little redhead. All of them begging me to allow him to come out at lunchtime, wanting to play with him and cuddle with him. At first, he was rather shy, I mean, why wouldn't he be? There's around twenty teenagers, with whom some are taller than me, gushing over him. Even Bakugo didn't mind it when Hiro walked over and gave him a hug. Hiro, the little cinnamon roll he was, often thought Bakugo was sad whenever he bit at anyone, so he'd always come and hug him which would always calm the temperamental blonde down a tad. It was as if the child had an unknown gift. However, even though Hiro loved the attention, he always ended up in Shoto's lap, snuggling into his chest and falling asleep while his uncle did some schoolwork.

Humming softly, I turn to look at the class, my knees on my seat as I do a quick head count, you never know if someone was going to throw Mineta out of the window. Sending the kids a soft smile as they get on with their own thing. Jiro was sitting with her earbuds in, listening to some music, having a small conversation with Momo while she was looking over a book, full of molecular substances so she could create more items. Bakugo, unusually quiet, was slowly simmering in the corner of the bus with Kaminari and Kirishima trying to annoy him. Uraraka sat beside a flustered Midoriya, a small smile playing on my lips as Shoto stares at the green haired boy from afar.

Smirking softly, I poke Shoto's cheek, giggling as he blinks a few times before turning his attention to me. Do I smell a little love blossoming? A little childhood crush of some sorts? Is Shoto being experimental? As Shoto's eyes flit toward me, a small blush creeps upon his cheeks before he clears his throat and shakes head.

"So," I press, leaning on the headrest of the chair with my cheek smushed against the top, "You and Midoriya, huh?"

"I - I don't know what you mean," Shoto hums, looking down at his lap and clearing his throat, "We're just friends, Onee - San, nothing more,"

"I find that hard to believe when you're face is the same shade as your scar, Shoto," I point out, poking his nose with a giggle and looking toward where Shoto is sitting, "Sho - kun's got a little crush,"

"I do not," he whispers, trying to draw as little attention as he can, "Onee - San, please,"

"You do though, your brother stared at me like that and we were dating," I hum smiling goofily, feeling like a little school girl, "I mean come on, he made you use your fire, you said you weren't here to make friends but you have with Midoriya,"

"You're ridiculous," he mutters, staring out the window before glaring at me, "It's not Midoriya,"

"But you're looking at —" I begin before looking again and realising who he's looking at and gawking at him. The male watching as I whisper shriek at him, "Momo?! You like Momo?!"

"Onee - San, please," Shoto groans embarrassed, covering his face as I giggle and shake the back of the chair with uncontrolled glee, "They'll all stare at me, I don't want to draw attention... it's not a big deal. She probably doesn't like me anyway, you know..."

"Awww... Momo and Shoto," I coo, pinching his cheek and laughing as he pushes my hand away and glares at me, "Aww~ Are you embarrassed?~ Am I embarrassing you?~"

"Shut up!" He groans, huffing as I stick my tongue out and lean against the chair, "You're so embarrassing,"

Trying to contain my joy, I ruffle his two toned hair, pressing a soft kiss to his forehead. Shoto's growing up! It's insane how that little clingy adorable seven year old I met when I was around sixteen years old is now a teenager who's beginning to fall in love! I give him a reassuring smile before relaxing back into my chair. Leaning on the window as I watch the trees fly past me. By my feet, lay a large bag full of Hiro's toys and clothes... as well as some clothes that belonged to Toya. I was currently wearing one of his shirts, most of it was tucked into my jeans.

It's a comfort thing. Especially since most of his clothes are baggy and they make great pyjamas.

As the bus rolls to a stop, I stretch my arms and legs picking up the bag as Aizawa holds a sleeping Hiro in his arms, a small smile on his lips as we exit the bus, the students trudging out with a whine, Mineta desperate for the toilet. Hiro whines softly as the cold breeze brushes against him, snuggling deeper into Aizawa's chest. His usually intimidating demeanour didn't seem so intense now that he held an adorable little four year old in his arms.

Two of the Pussycat's jump down, introducing themselves. A small giggle escaping my lips as Pixie - Bob's eyes land on the small toddler, clapping her paws together as Hiro stares at him with his big round turquoise orbs. Mandalay whispering a soft apology to my ear, explaining that she was at the age of wanting to settle down and have kittens. The students were already trekking their way through the forest, Aizawa leading the way to the campsite with Hiro holding onto Mandlay's paw, looking up at her with sparkling eyes, Kota, Mandalay's cousins son, held onto Hiro's other hand, it was as if he was protecting him.

God they're adorable!

As we arrive at the campsite, Aizawa leads me to a nice bedroom, three single separate beds occupied the room. Setting his bags down, Aizawa claims the one nearest to the door, flopping onto it with a happy groan. Hiro giggles softly, jumping into the middle bed which left me to be in the one by the window.

"I'm guessing this is where we're sleeping," I muse, smiling softly as Hiro jumps on the bed and squeals out a thank you to the older male, "Thank you Mr. Aizawa,"

"Hey, I told you, drop the formalities," Aizawa hums, sitting up, running a hand through his hair to work out the kinks within his black locks, "You're no where near inferior to me,"

"Thank you, Aizawa," I hum, setting the bags that belonged to Hiro and I down before ruffling my sons hair, "Are you sure we'll be safe? I don't want to put my son in danger,"

"I promise you, Hiro is not in any danger," Aizawa explains, catching the four year old who jumps toward him, "And even if he was, you're a good enough hero to protect him,"

Nodding softly, I pull him into a hug. His eyes widening slightly, unexpectedly receiving this hug from me before slowly sinking into it. Rubbing my back as I hold onto him tightly, savouring the sweet moment, we pull away and walk to the front of camp as the student begin to surface from the forest. Battered and broken. Ice burns dotted around Shoto's right side while he has a small burn on his left side. Hiro runs over, jumping into the tired males arms, ignoring my protests before snuggling into his chest. I press a soft kiss to Shoto's forehead.

"I know that feeling," I empathise, rubbing the back of my neck, "But the Pussycats have made you all a nice, warming meal for you all to eat!"

"I'm fucking starving," Bakugo groans, rubbing his stomach with a small sigh as he stumbles, "I need food,"

"Language Bakugo!" I scold, hitting him upside the head making him glare, holding where I hit, "I won't have you swearing in front of my son! Understood?"

"Yes Miss (Y/n)," the whole class replies, some of them smiling softly before heading into the room, their eyes widening and mouth salivating at the sight of food in front of them.

Smiling softly, I lean against the doorway, watching as the students tuck into food like they haven't eaten for days. Kirishima and Kaminari eating like savages, I swear they disregarded their cutlery and just ate with their hands. Shoto, although hungry himself, would stop from time to time to cut Hiro's food, sometimes eating it himself to make sure he'd like it before feeding some to Hiro. Really taking pride in his role as uncle.

However, despite all the happiness and the teamwork that filled the atmosphere, I couldn't help but feel something was off. Looking out the confines of the camp, checking to see what was going on, only to find nothing... however I spent an hour looking around. On edge. Maybe my senses were heightened. Hiro in the situation didn't help matters...

I just needed to keep everyone safe...

*****************************

It all happened so quickly. One moment, everyone was having fun, Class A and B were having a little competition between each other. Class B students were hidden in assorted places around the trail the Pussycats has created, ready to scare and beat the Class A students. While my class were psyching each other up, giving each other hints and tips. Readying themselves so they could prove to Class B that it's always been them who's on top. Hiro, adamant to stay up past his bedtime, clung into my shirt, well Toya's shirt, and sleepily watched each of them go through, giving Shoto a tiny wave before yawning.

Then everything turned into chaos...

Within a matter of seconds, Pixie - Bob was magnetised toward a long haired villain with ridiculously large lips, slamming her head with a metal object chasing a shriek from Hiro. His eyes pure with fear. Holding him close to my chest, I look toward the villains, fear controlling me. Tiger had already started attacking the one who hurt Pixie - Bob while Mandalay handled the other reptilian one. I looked to the students and pushed Hiro into Iida's arms.

"All of you! Go back to camp!" I order, pressing a soft kiss to Hiro's forehead while his eyes brim with tears, "Iida, take Hiro with you, guard him with your life, please,"

"Of course, I'll keep him safe Miss (Y/n)," Iida hums, holding Hiro close and keeping the restless child in his grip, "I promise,"

"Mama! Mama! No!" Hiro cries out, wiggling in his grasp, "I want mama!"

"Sweetie, it'll be okay, I need to help uncle Sho," I soothe, kissing his forehead, "Mama will be back soon,"

"No!" Hiro whines trying to grab onto my shirt crying. His large blue eyes streaming as I usher the children toward the building, "Mama! Mama!"

"Take him! Go! All of you!" I order, watching as Iida sprints through the forest holding a wailing Hiro close.

Holding back my tears, I turn to the two villains, surrounding my body with a pale blue aura, gathering up enough energy before throwing my arms back and chucking it at the reptile one, forcing him into a tree with a yell. Mandalay nods my way, taking it into her hands while I rush to Pixie - Bob, trying to stop the bleeding coming from her head.

"The students!" Tiger yells, throwing another punch at the villain, "They need to be safe!"

"(Y/n), you're a higher ranking than us!" Mandalay calls out, kicking one of the villains away and looking toward us, "Go find them!"

"What about Pixie?" I ask, cradling her head and trying to find something to stop the bleeding, "I can't just leave her!"

"She'll be fine! Just go!" Mandalay orders, pointing over toward where a blue fire is roaring into the forest, "Prioritise the students! Go! Go!"

Nodding, I gently lay the blonde Pussycat down before running away, jumping into the air as I hover over the forest, my hair standing on end as I look over the forest. My eyes widen as I finally see the full expanse of the situation. A blue haze envelopes the trees, a huge wave a smoke towering over it. Thanking my lucky stars that Hiro was safe in the campsite by now, I push through the air, looking down at the minimal view I get. I couldn't see anyone... were they fighting? Aizawa had given them permission to use their quirks and they're all very capable heroes.

Taking a deep breath, I skim the surface of the trees, getting myself a closer look before a wave of blue fire is sent my way. Shrieking, I lose control of my power, falling to the ground, cutting my arms and legs on the branches that more or less break my fall. I end up smashing into the ground with a large groan. My whole body screams at me with utter pain. Looking around, my vision comes across two males, one male wearing a whole body suit with two colours and white holes which I presume were for his eyes and a blacked haired male with purple skin - like scars connected to his body and face by staples. He wore a black leather coat and a plain white t shirt underneath. A playful smirk on his lips. What caught me by surprise, was his eyes... they were a bright turquoise colour.

Much like Hiro's...

Slowly, I push myself to my feet, ignoring the stinging pain shooting through my legs, especially the scarred one, before gathering energy in my palms, narrowing my eyes at them. These must be the ones that started the damn fire. Why am I not surprised? What I need to know is how they go through the defences.

"This is gonna be easier that I thought," The black haired male says smirking, "What's the status on the boy?"

"The clone has a hold of him," The one in the suit explains, turning his attention to me, "He's asleep! He'll wake up any minute!"

"Who are you?" I ask, slamming arrows of energy at the pair of them, standing in a stance, "Why are you here?!"

"We're the League of Villains, sweetcheeks," the scarred male points out, smirking as he appeared from behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist, "And we need to collect a couple of packages,"

"Get your hands off me!"

With a shriek, I throw my head back, stomping on his foot so he releases his grip before turning around, going to punch him in the jaw only to have my fist caught in his hand. A smirk plays on his lips as he kicks me in the to stomach, making me double over and fall to the ground, my arm racing over my stomach with a wince. The other guy walks over, grabbing my scarred leg, softly squeezing it chasing a yelp from me as I feel one of the scars burst open. Growling lowly, I kick the male back with my good leg, pushing myself to my feet, thrusting my hand his way as a blue aura surrounds him. His body floating in the air as I tighten my fist making him squirm. However, before I could do anything, a woman appears through the trees.

She had (h/c) hair caressing her face and shoulders, slowly floating down, her body surrounded by a light blue aura... she had (e/c) eyes and she was wearing my hero costume...

Wait, was that me?

Within this 'clone', as the masked male liked to call it, in her arms was a sleeping Hiro. My eyes widen as the scarred male takes him from the clones arms and the clone melts into nothing but slime, losing my grip on the villain I had a hold of.

"He's your son? Right?" He asks, rubbing his back, smirking my way, "Wouldn't want him to get hurt now would we?"

"No! Please!" I beg, wincing as my leg tears open again, blood escaping the scars, "He's only four!"

Smirking softly, he holds Hiro close to his chest, noticing that he pressed a subtle kiss to his forehead. Suddenly, Midoriya, Shoto and Shoji appear out of nowhere pinning this villain down. With his attire he seemed like a magician. However, with black spot appearing in my vision, it was hard to tell. The one holding Hiro sends a wave of blue fire toward the students who shriek out in pain as it skims them.

"Hiro! (Y/n)!" Shoto yells, activating his ice to shield himself from the fire before staring at me as I weakly try to push to my feet, "Let them go!"

"Uncle Sho?" Hiro whimpers, slowly waking up, rubbing his eyes, "Mama?"

"Sh, go back to sleep," The scarred male hums, smirking at the students, bouncing Hiro in his arms with a chuckle, "Compress, the girl,"

"Miss (Y/n)!" Midoriya yells, chasing after me before yelling out as another villain throws fire at him, "Ah!"

Groaning softly, the one who I assume is Compress, picks me up bridle style, before chucking me over his shoulder, walking beside the one who had a hold of Hiro. My eyes were slowly closing, blood loss and overuse of my quirk beginning to kick in. My body slowly feeling heavy. Going limp. A warp gate appear behind them, a small groan leaving my lips as I hear yelling and crying... but I couldn't make it out who it was... my mind turning into mush as I fall unconscious.

"(Y/n)!"...
