Chapter 50

Pushing myself out of bed, I stretch my arms over my head and take a deep breath. The alarm beeping like usual in the morning, forcing everyone out of their beds and telling them to get ready for the day ahead. My eyes lazily blinking as I rub at the softly before grabbing my bed robe and wrapping it around my form as best as I can. My bump refusing to let me tie it up all the way. My stomach is now the size of a bowling ball as I try to click my back into place after spending the evening having the baby kick and wriggle around at my spine.

Still dead to the world in his sleep, Toya snores gently making me giggle and press a soft kiss to his forehead before turning around and leaving the room. The morning sun etching its way through the windows as I head downstairs and open up the curtains to allow some natural light inside. A hum leaving my lips as I tuck the curtains away and then head into the kitchen to get breakfast ready for Hiro before he goes to school with Fuyumi.

Clearing my throat gently, wincing as my back cramps, I open up the cupboards and pull out some cereal for myself since I can't exactly have pancakes since Jellybean (a nickname for the baby that has just stuck) doesn't like pancakes. Then, with my cereal poured into a bowl with milk splashed on top, I grab some bacon and sausages from the fridge and turn the grill on for Toya and Hiro and Shoto to have for breakfast.

While they cook, I lean against the kitchen counter with my bowl resting against the top of my bump and dig into my cereal. My spoon clinking against the china of the bowl while I chew and swallow my cereal. Little Jellybean kicking at the bump every so often making me giggle and rub gently to let them know that I'm hearing them, that I know they're there and I can't wait for them to come grace me with their beautiful presence so I can spoil them.

My due date has come closer and closer over time. With only a week or two to go, tension has risen in my household. Toya has been on high alert, any false labor/Braxton Hicks contractions that I've had leads to Toya stressing. Any cramp, he's on me like a predator on prey making sure that the baby and I are okay. The closer we get to the due date, the more worried and stressed Toya is becoming. He's been waking me up nearly every few hours in the evening to make sure that I'm okay too.

He's more worried than what I am...

The sound of the door opening catches my attention making me smile as Shoto walks in and nods toward me. The youngest Todoroki grabbing himself a glass to pour himself some orange juice as well as grabbing Hiro's cup to pour some for his nephew when Hiro inevitably wakes up and causes havoc through the house.

"How's Jellybean?" Shoto asks, looking toward me while I set my bowl down and pull out the bacon and sausages for the boys, making them sandwiches, "Any contractions?"

"Not you too," I groan, already being fed up with the bombardment of questions about how I am and if I've had contractions and if I feel like today will be the day that Jellybean graces us with their presence, "Jellybean is fine, just had breakfast,"

"Are you coming into work today?" He asks, watching as I make bacon sandwiches for him and Hiro and a sausage and bacon sandwich for Toya with ketchup. His eyes widen when I nod gently, "What? But you're so close to your due date, Toya's going to flip,"

"I'm not due for another week or so, I'm not just having time off for the sake of it," I explain, ruffling his hair as I hand him his breakfast before walking toward the stairs and shout up to my boys, "Hiro! Toya! Breakfast! Get your butts out of bed!"

Seconds later, Hiro races downstairs in his dinosaur pyjamas. Little T - Rex dinosaurs were dotted all across his blue pyjamas making me giggle as he hugs me good morning and pulls me down so I'm kneeling to give me a kiss on the cheek then kisses the bump (to say morning to Jellybean) before racing to the kitchen to grab breakfast. A smile playing on my lips as Hiro squeals at Shoto who pulls him close and kisses his cheek.

Then comes Toya, my husband. His turquoise irises glimmering with sleep as I slides downstairs and sends me a soft smile. We share a soft morning kiss, his hands rubbing over the baby bump where Jellybean kicks at his hands to give him a good morning.

"Good morning," I hum gently, rubbing my thumb over his cheek as he leans lazily into my touch and takes a deep breath, "Sleep well?"

"Yeah," he mumbles softly, kissing my palm and pulling away to head to the kitchen with me in tow. Hiro waves toward Toya who smiles and kisses his forehead before grabbing his breakfast and sitting at the dining table beside his younger brother, "So tired..."

Rolling my eyes playfully at my husbands statement, I go to put my bowl in the sink before groaning as a pain shoots through my waist. Cursing under my breath, I lean against the counter and take a deep breath. My eyes closing as I hunch over the counter and place a hand over my bump. Within seconds, Shoto and Toya are on me. Shoto holding my hands while Toya gently pulls me away from the counter and lets me lean against him.

"Are you okay?!" Toya asks worried making me take a deep breath, resting my head against his shoulder and scrunch my eyes shut, "Is the baby coming?! Are you in labour?!"

"Toya! Shut your gob before I knock your teeth out," I threaten, taking a deep breath as it lets up and allowing me to relax while I sigh in relief and hum gently, "It was just false labor, I'm fine,"

"You okay mama?" Hiro asks worried, watching me as I pull myself away from my husband and ruffle his hair gently, "Is Jellybean coming out yet?"

"I'm okay sweetie, Jellybean was just giving mama a little scare," I explain softly, rubbing his back as he kisses my bump and mumbles to Jellybean to behave for me, "Go get ready for school, Hiro, I'll be okay,"

With Hiro out the room, I sit down in one of the dining chairs and lean against the back. My hand resting over my bump when I look toward Shoto and Toya who stare at me worriedly. A laugh leaves my lips as Toya kneels down by me and rests his cheek against the bump while Shoto stares at me as if he's seen a ghost.

"You're not going to work," Shoto says looking toward me making me groan as Toya looks up toward me and narrows his eyes unimpressed. My husband hitting my leg when I curse, "Not after that, that could have been a contraction,"

"I'll be fi —"

"No you won't, you're keeping your ass here so I can keep an eye on you," Toya says, grabbing my phone before I can protest to call either Shota or my father to let them know that I won't be coming in making me groan and pull my phone back with my quirk, "(Y/n)! I don't want you going into labor at the school!"

"Toya, breathe for me," I tell him calmly, smiling weakly as he takes a deep breath and rests his head against my shoulder while I rub his back and kiss his cheek, "I'll be fine, I promise. Shota will be with me and if he can't then I'm sure dad will be following me like a lost puppy,"

"Why can't you just stay home?" He asks softly, rubbing circles on my stomach while I sigh and look toward Shoto for help before whining as he shakes his head, "I don't want you hurting yourself..."

"How about this," I begin, thinking of a bargain with my husband to try and ease his worries, "I go to work today, just for today and I'll take time off after today. I'll start my maternity leave tomorrow, yeah? The kids have training today and I want to be there to help them, please? Or maybe I could do a half day? I come home at lunch?"

"Half day," Toya says, looking toward me as he clears his throat and rubs his fingers through his hair, "You're not spending a whole day there, okay?"

Knowing that that's all I'm going to get, I nod and kiss his cheek before pushing myself to my feet and waddling toward the shower with Toya close behind. His hands on my waist as I slide out of my clothes and head into the shower. The hot water splashing down onto my body while Toya stands nearby to make sure that I don't slip and fall over. A giggle leaving my lips every now and then as Toya'a eyes roam all over my naked form.

"Toya! I'm having a shower and I have work in about forty five minutes," I point out, laughing as he sticks his tongue out and grabs a towel for me after I finish washing my hair and freshening myself up, "Thank you,"

"Of course babe," Toya hums, kissing my cheek as I dry myself off and get dressed with a small smile, "Are you sure you'll be okay?"

"Toya, I'll be fine," I reassure him, pinning my hair back with a headband and putting on my deodorant. Toya's hands wrap around me from behind as he stares at my baby bump, "You'll go grey if you keep stressing, you know,"

"You're forgetting I had white hair," Toya coos in my ear, kissing my cheek as he stares at our reflection, "I'm gonna miss this baby bump... you look so cute. Maybe we should put another in there when Jellybean is older?"

"Two children is enough," I tell him, laughing as he squeezes my hips and lets me head downstairs, "I'm not having a litter,"

Toya snorts at my comment as I head down the stairs and run my fingers through my hair. Hiro's already dressed and ready (thank god for Shoto) while sitting on the couch and watching some cartoons before Fuyumi comes over to take him to school. Shoto stands in the kitchen scrolling through his phone while nibbling on an apple with a small smile on his face making me bite my lip with a goofy grin on my lips. I wonder who he's texting. Maybe it's his secret crush that he won't tell me about because he thinks I'll embarrass him.

Which I totally would!

After getting Hiro's lunch ready for the day, I pack it into his school bag alongside his reading book, his notebook and his water bottle. I make a mental checklist to make sure that Hiro has everything he needs in his back pack. A small smile on my lips as the doorbell rings and Hiro races to me to get his bag while Toya speaks with Fuyumi.

"There we go," I coo gently, wiping the crumbs off his cheek and the toothpaste catching on the corner of his lips making him giggle and stare up at me with sparkling eyes, "All nice and handsome for school,"

"Thank you mama," Hiro chirps, hugging me as I pull him close for a hug and kiss his forehead with a smile, "I love you,"

"I love you more, my little angel," I coo, kissing his nose gently making him laugh and wriggle is adorably, "Have a good day, daddy and I will see you later when Auntie Yumi drops you off,"

"Bye bye mama!" Hiro squeals, giggling as he races to Fuyumi who waves toward me before leaving the house with my son latched onto her arm and babbling away about his favourite dinosaurs, "Jellybean! Be good for mama!"

Rolling my eyes with a smile, I look toward Shoto who's already ready with his bag slung across his shoulders. The younger male ready and raring to go for the day while I slip into my shoes and grab my own bag for the day (packed from the previous evening). Toya watches me closely and helps me into the car as we make our own way to school.

Once buckled in, Toya begins the drive to U.A with his hand resting on my thigh gently. His eyes flickering from the road toward me every now and then while I shift to get comfortable in the chair. My hand resting protectively over my bump while I look out the window and watch everything go by.

"Oi, golden boy," Toya calls out, looking at his younger brother through the rear view making Shoto look up from his phone unimpressed, "You keep an eye on her, you hear me? If her water breaks and she goes into labor, I will personally see that your kneecaps will disappear,"

"How can he help my water breaking?" I ask confused while Shoto rolls his eyes at his brother and looks back toward his phone. The male almost immune to his insults, "Shoto can't help it if Jellybean wants to make an appearance,"

"I don't care, he's responsible for you," Toya says making me scoff and shake my head as he parks up in the parking lot where my father is already waiting for my arrival, "And I'll be blaming your dad too if your water breaks,"

"Whatever you say, T," I hum, just letting my boyfriend have his moment, and kiss his cheek while grabbing my bag, "I'll text you when my shifts over, try not to have an aneurism while I'm gone,"

"No promises," Toya replies, watching my dad with narrow eyes as he helps me out the car and carries my bag for me, "Just please be careful!"

Nodding toward my husband, I wave him off as Shoto leaves the car and I'm left at the school to work. A smile playing on my lips as I follow my father through to the teachers lounge to set my bags and stuff down so I didn't have to carry them everywhere. My father making sure to go at a steady pace so I could keep with him and I wouldn't get behind while Shoto heads off to his first class.

"You should really be at home," My father points out making me curse under my breath and roll my eyes as I run my fingers through my hair, "Why can't you start your maternity leave?"

"Because I want to work, dad," I hum through gritted teeth as I pull out my pencil case to start work with others, "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a class to go to,"

Throughout the first lesson, I could feel my brother - in - law's and my stepbrother's (which is what Izuku practically is now) eyes only me. The pair watching me like a hawk as I sit by Kaminari's desk and explain a certain question or when I quickly mark through Yaoyorozu's work to make sure that she's working to the best of her ability. Even Bakugo was watching me like a hawk (maybe Hiro had a little effect on him).

If I'm being honest, everyone's eyes were on me. Each and every one of them worried that I'll go into labor.

Shota even gave up his comfy teacher chair!

As I look around the room for anyone that needs help, Shoto's hand shoots up and catches my attention. Smiling to myself, I walk over and grab a chair to prop myself next to him to have a look at what he's doing. The male quickly explains his problem and as soon as I go to explain, a pain shoots through again.

My eyes widen as I hold my bump and take a deep breath. Back cramping up as something pushes against my pelvic floor. Shoto shoots to his feet and takes my hands in his so I can squeeze them while I scrunch my eyes tightly shut and take a deep breath. The whole class halting in their work to look toward me worried.

"Miss (Y/n)? Are you okay?" Shota asks, walking toward me while the pain lets up and allows me to relax before I realise what's just happened, "Do you need me to call your husband?"

"I — I think... I think my water just broke,"...

"Oh my god! Oh my god! Jellybean's coming!"...

"Shoto! Shut your ass up and help me!"...
