Chapter 44
"We are now arriving at Hosu Airport, Musutafu. Please remain in your seats until the light goes off and the aircraft has come to a complete stop. Thank you for flying with Musutafu Airlines! We hope you enjoyed your flight!"
Sending an excited smile toward my husband, I press a kiss to his cheek as I look out of the small window. My eyes glued to the view below us of bustling cars zooming down the road and tall skyscrapers trying to reach the clouds. Excitement bubbles over in my stomach the closer we get to the airport. My heart beating excitingly as I snuggle into my boyfriend who's trying to get rid of the muffled feeling his ears have succumbed to due to change in pressure.
Thankfully, the flight from America to Japan was so much better than the flight to America from Japan. Dabi and I managed to upgrade ourselves to first class (thanks to Uncle David wanting to pamper his goddaughter and favourite niece in the world). So we didn't have to put up with snotty nosed brats screaming the aircraft down or rude women who thought it was okay to ruin the flight for everyone else because their flight was trash.
The flight went perfectly!
Toya and I cuddled up and watched a couple of movies, soaking up the final seconds of time that we'd have left of just us before we get back to normality. We ordered ourselves some sundaes and fed each other icecream. We even had a quick nap! I would have to say, it was one of the best flights I've been on.
Smiling gently to himself, I lean into the plush seat of the airplane and close my eyes, remembering each tender moment of the last two weeks. Moments where Toya and I went water surfing and paragliding. Moments where we were just lounging around and watching movies (the little things often made my heart soar). Moments where we'd get steamy and hot. Moments where we'd fall asleep in each others arms without another word...
Since the talk of having a second child, Toya and I had been trying. We'd try at least every night, if not, once every two nights. It was something that Toya desperately wanted. He wanted another child, he wanted to raise a child properly and be there for all the moments that he could be there for Hiro. As far as I'm aware, I've had no symptoms, however, you never know. These things take time after all.
Still keeping my hopes up and praying that it happens!
Pressing a gentle kiss against my cheek, Toya sends me a small smile before groaning as his ears make him wince. The male wasn't used to plane rides, bless him. He didn't like the way his ears would pop and his hearing would go all funky. It was adorable though, seeing him try to sort his ears out. The little pout he wears is so cute!
"We're about to land!" I squeal excitedly, clapping my hands together as I notice the land coming close and closer to the aircraft, "Ooh! I can't wait to see Hiro!"
"He's gonna be clingy as fuck, you know that right?" Dabi asks looking toward me as he fiddles with his ears, trying to pull his ears and get them to pop to sort his hearing, "Damn ears... who has them?"
"Awww, poor baby," I coo, taking a sip of my iced tea with a hum before handing him a hard candy to suck on, "Try this, sometimes this helps T,"
Taking the candy, Toya plops it into his mouth and rests his cheek against my shoulder as he sucks at it. The male clearing his throat as he snuggles into me and takes a small sigh. A giggle leaving my lips as he puffs his cheeks out in annoyance. Clearly his ears aren't changing at all.
Maybe they'll get better when we land.
As the plane lands back onto Japanese soil, I couldn't help but feel a wave of relief washing over me. A smile unable to remove itself from my lips as I lean into my husbands shoulder and squeeze his hand gently. The sense that I'm back at home where I can cuddle with my little boy, spend time with Shoto, spend the rest of my life with Toya and get back to working at U.A. to help out the students of 1A.
As soon as the seatbelt sign switches off overhead, Toya and I push ourselves to our feet and collects our bags as quick as we can. The pair of us didn't want to get caught up in a backlog of humans! Airplanes were so claustrophobic sometimes! With everything we needed, I lace my fingers with my husbands and walk down the aisle in the middle of the plane, sending a smile toward passengers who kindly let us go past first (some letting us go because Toya looks like a walking fire accident and it scares the living daylights out of them).
After thanking the stewardess for the flight, Toya and I walk through the tunnel connecting the aircraft to the airport with smiles plastered across our faces. The pair of us sharing a soft kiss between us before we walk into the airport and head to baggage claim to collect our suitcases. Toya pushing people out the way when our suitcases slide across the conveyor belt to catch them and ignoring the looks people are giving him.
"Is that everything?" I ask looking toward Toya as he makes sure he's gotten the correct suitcases and wheels them toward me as I look over our hand luggage, making sure everything is still in there and nothing has left our person, "Whereabouts is your parents meeting us again?"
"Ma said by the exit, she didn't want Hiro to get lost otherwise she would've met us at baggage claim," Toya explains, kissing my cheek with a chuckle as he notices a bright smile play across my lips at the mention of my baby boy, "Excited to see Hiro?"
"You know I am, I missed my daily cuddles," I hum, rubbing my thumb over my husbands knuckles with a smile. A hum leaving my lips as Toya pulls me close and holds me in his arms for a final hug, "Thank you for the honeymoon, I really enjoyed it,"
"Good, I really enjoyed it too," He hums, kissing my nose gently and smiles as I scrunch it up, "I love you so much, (Y/n),"
"I love you more," I reply, smiling gently toward him before we grab our suitcases and bags and head out of the baggage claim toward the exit.
Once leaving the area, Toya and I instantly begin the lookout for our son. My insides fluttering with excitement as I cling to my husbands arm and giggle to myself. I couldn't wait to find my baby. To give him as many cuddles and kisses as I can! Plus, I couldn't wait to shower my baby with as many gifts as I possibly could. The two of us trying to stand on our tiptoes as we scope the area.
Huffing to myself, I plop back onto my heels and puff my cheeks out in annoyance. My husband chuckles at my behaviour and pokes my cheeks, deflating them as I slump into his arm and look around. Maybe they weren't here yet? Although I made sure that they knew when we were leaving America for Japan. Maybe they're on their w—
"Oh my god! That's Endeavor!"
"There he is," Toya and I hum simultaneously, looking toward each other with a knowing smile before weaving through adoring fans to reach my father - in - law (don't know if I should call him dad yet) and ma. My eyes lighting up at the sight of my beautiful baby boy, my arms instantly opening up to welcome him in.
"Mama! Mama!" I hear Hiro squeal, his bright turquoise eyes shimmering with happiness as he darts toward me and jumps into my arms. The boy wraps his arms around my neck tightly as I hold him close and pepper kisses over his chubby cheeks, baby button nose and forehead, "Welcome home! I missed you so much!"
"I missed you more my beautiful angel," I coo, kissing his cheek and rocking from side to side making the boy giggle before making grabby hands toward his father who joins the cuddle, "Daddy and I got you loads of presents!"
Squealing with happiness, Hiro wriggles to the floor and holds Toya's hand. The little angel looks around with a small hum, even trying to open up the suitcases making Toya and I share a look with arched brows.
"Sweetie? You okay?" I ask kneeling down to my sons level, running my fingers through his hair as he looks around us, "Hiro? What are you looking for honey?"
"Where's my new sibling?" He asks looking up at us making Toya hold in a laugh, the male covering his mouth with his fist as he snorts and looks away, his shoulders shaking gently, "I thought you were getting another baby,"
Giggling gently, I run my fingers through my sons hair and kiss his forehead as he pouts toward Toya and I. The boy's eyes sparkling with tears as he fiddles with the hem of his shirt.
"Sweetie, don't cry," I coo, wiping his eyes gently as he sniffles and looks up at me, "It's okay, we have to wait okay? Having a baby takes a long time, okay? It'll be here before you know it,"
"So you're really having a baby?" Hiro asks nervously, looking between Toya and I as we send him a small smile and pick him up, Toya holding him close to his chest and rocking him gently, "Am I getting a sibling?"
"Maybe buddy, mama and I need to sort things out first before we get you a sibling okay?" Toya explains, chuckling as Hiro pouts adorably toward hum as we make our way toward the car with Enji holding our suitcases and luggage, "We have to be patient. Anyway, have you been good? Grandpa behaving?"
"I'm a grown man, I don't need childminding," Enji hums, pushing the suitcases into the trunk of the car ignoring the giggle and snort that Rei sends him, "What?"
"You so do need childminding," Rei teases, patting her husbands cheek as she saunters into the car and sits down at the front with a small smile. The woman turning her attention to me as Enji mutters to himself and starts the car, "Soo~ How was the honeymoon? Are we getting any grandchildren soon? Do I need to empty my calendar in nine months time?"
"We don't know yet ma," Toya hums, letting Hiro fiddle with sleeve as he looks toward his mother with an arched brow, "We started trying like... a week or so ago, we need to be patient,"
"Yeah, it'll come though, I can feel it," I hum, smiling toward Toya as he winks toward me before giving Hiro his undivided attention. The little boy loving the fact that he's being showered with attention, "Was everything okay? Hiro behaved?"
"Sweetie, he's always an angel," Rei explains, pinching her grandsons cheek with pursed lips and sticking her tongue out as he giggles, "Went out a couple of times with Eri and Mr Zawa, didn't you? Spent the weekend at the dorms with Uncle Sho and Kacchan. Got saved by grandpa —"
"What?" Toya and I cut her off in unison as we stare toward her with wide eyes. The white haired woman clearing her throat as she looks toward her husband before back toward us.
"What do you mean saved, ma?" I ask worried, looking between my son and my mother - in - law as my stomach coils nervously, "Did someone try to take —"
"No, sweetie; nothing like that," Rei hushes me gently, sending me a reassuring smile as Toya laces our hands together and allows me to squeeze his hands to calm myself down as my heart races, "Hiro wandered off when we went to the mall and got a bit lost, but it's okay, nothing happened. He was talking to this blonde man who was quite peculiar, I have to say... I swear he had staples on his forehead but Hiro seemed comfortable as ever with him,"
"Twice..." Toya mutters looking toward me as I run my fingers through Hiro's hair, the five year old obliviously playing with his action figures as I send him a look, "I'll talk to him, don't worry. I'm sure it means nothing,"
"I am telling you this now," I hum looking toward him, trying not to be to loud as my in laws strike up a conversation between themselves, "If any one of them lays a hand on his head, I will not hesitate to throw their ass in jail until their dying days,"
"You're overreacting, Twice wouldn't hurt him," Toya hums shaking his head, looking out the window as Enji drives down the main road, "Besides, what are they gonna do? I'm a stay at home dad, Hiro will be with me all day unless he's with you,"
"I'm not on about Twice, T," I hum, glaring toward him as I take a nervous breath, "I don't trust any of them... especially after last time,"
"Look, I'll talk to them," Toya explains, sending me a small smile as I sigh gently and look at my lap, "Don't worry, Hiro is safe. You worry about going back to work and having to deal with your sperm donor,"
"Ugh... don't remind me," I groan, resting my forehead against the window, puffing my cheeks out in annoyance at the mention of my dad, "It's not like I can avoid him either, I'm stuck,"
"Is this your dad?" Enji asks looking toward me through the wing mirror as I nod nervously and bite at my nails, Toya grabbing my wrist before I can make any more damage to them, "He's been asking about how you were getting on in America,"
"'Course he has..." I mumble; shaking my head as I look out the window and watch cars fly by, "Bet he's been counting down the days..."
That was the only thing I wasn't looking forward to. My father. The man who decided not to show up at my wedding. The man who decided to influence someone else's decision on coming too making Shoto upset... I don't want to see him...
But I know I have to...
Why had I thought that coming back from the honeymoon would be great? Why couldn't Hiro have come to America and we could move there instead? Now we have the League possibly targeting my son and my father who probably won't leave me alone regardless of what I do. What a great way to come home! Let's increase my anxiety!
Sighing gently to myself, I close my eyes as I rest my head on the headrest. Before I can fall asleep, a small hand rests itself on my hand and a cheek rests against my arm. A smile plays on my lips as I see Hiro slumped up against me with a small hum.
"What did Uncle Twice want, sweetie?" I ask gently, rubbing circles on the back of his hand making him giggle and nuzzle into me, "What did you talk about?"
"He was asking about daddy and you," Hiro says gently, blowing a raspberry toward Toya who blows one back, "And then he got excited when I told him about having a baby sibling,"
"Oh that's wonderful honey,"...
"Yeah! Uncle Twice is the best!"...
"Yeah... the best,"...
