Chapter 37

Releasing a bated breath, I slump into one of the students desks as the lunch bell rings and Aizawa and I are left to our own devices. Our class leaving the room to have their lunch and socialise for forty five minutes before they come back for more work and more revision. A groan leaving my lips as I rest my forehead against the desk, taking a deep breath to try and calm down the pulsating headache that's threatening to surface. A whine leaving my lips as I rest my hand on my hands, gently rubbing my temples.

Today had been a rather busy day, after all, trying to help the students get themselves ready for some tests that Aizawa had planned for them in a couple days time. Kaminari, bless his heart, has been stressing for the first time ever. The blonde worried about failing, beating himself down when he's actually smarter than he thinks. Poor Momo being overwhelmed with everyone demanding her help. Mina almost bursting into tears when she comes across a question on something that she doesn't know what to do. To say it was difficult dealing with them all was an understatement.

I just hope that they'll be okay.

Taking a deep breath, I run my fingers through my hair before sitting up and looking toward Aizawa who's sending me a small reassuring smile. The pair of us exhausted. The long haired male slumping in his wheelie chair, chuckling to himself as I yawn rather loudly and rub my eyes.

"Tired?" Aizawa asks arching a brow, smirking when I nod and release a tired whine, the male pushing his coffee mug my way with a knowing hum. His eyes racking over my form as I eagerly take it and sip at his drink, gulping down the caffeinated drink greedily, hoping it'll wake me up a bit, "Rough night last night?"

"That's the understatement of the year," I hum softly, leaning back into the chair with a small sigh as I swirl the coffee in the mug and hum sending him a weak smile, "Family dinner kind of backfired..."

"What did Endeavor do now?" Aizawa asks leaning forward, leaning against his desk as he looks toward me. The male sending me a small smile as I bite back a giggle, "I do hope no one got burnt this time,"

"Surprisingly, it wasn't Enji," I hum, giggling when Aizawa stares at me shocked, the male leaning forward as he's now fully interested in the juicy gossip that is now my family, "It was dad,"

"Your dad?" Aizawa asks with wide eyes, staring at me as I giggle while sipping at his coffee, the male shaking his head, "Seriously? How come? I thought he was happy about them marriage?"

"So did I... apparently he's been against it ever since Toya proposed," I reply shrugging, smiling weakly toward my coworker who bites his lip, "And now dads avoiding me,"

"I'm sorry," Aizawa says, pushing himself from his seat and walking over to me, ruffling my hair gently before wrapping his arms around my shoulders and pulling me into him, chuckling gently as I lean into him and wrap my arms around his, "I can sort him out if you want,"

"You don't need to do that," I hum with a giggle, pulling away gently as I smile up at him, the male walking back to his desk, "I'll deal with him, don't worry,"

Sending me a small nod, Aizawa opens his drawer and pulls out his lunch. The male opening up his bento box and pulling out a little boiled egg shaped like a baby chick (which I know Eri did) making me giggle. The male blushes slightly as he sets it down and begins eating his rice. His brows arching when I lean against the chair with a sigh.

Of course I forgot my lunch!

Worrying over everything that happened last night made me forget about everything else. I must have left in the fridge or I forgot to make it altogether. A small groan leaving my lips as I hide my face in my hands and take a deep breath. Just my luck. Huh?

Before I could get up, a knock at the door interrupts the silence. A small hum leaving my lips as I look up. A smile forces itself across my face as I release a small sheepish giggle toward my loving fiancé who's at the door holding a bento box. The male chuckling gently as he walks toward me and setting my lunch before me and kissing my forehead.

"You forgot your lunch, baby girl," Dabi hums, sending me a smile as I open it up and giggle gently when I notice the small love note he left inside, "Hiro's with Eri in the teachers lounge by the way,"

"Awww," I hum, pressing a kiss to my fiancé's cheek and lean into him as he runs his fingers through my hair, "Thank you babe, I really appreciate it,"

"Anything for you," he hums, leaning in to press a kiss to my lips gently, but chuckles as I hold my hand up to stop him and begin eating my lunch, the male wrapping his arms around my waist as he rests his head on my shoulder, "How you feeling?"

"Like shit," I hum, leaning into him as I chow down on the lunch that my fiancé made especially for me. The little love note laying on the desk for me to read over and over again to make me feel a little better, "Dads not talking to me now,"

"He's training with that Midoriya kid," Dabi hums softly, poking my cheek when I look toward him with an arched brow, "What? I'm just saying?"

"I'll be back," I hum, finish off my lunch before kissing his cheek, the male biting back a laugh as he already knows where I'm going, "Behave Toya,"

"Aww, babe, I'm an angel," Toya hums with a grin, laughing when he notices Aizawa arching a brow his way and shake his head, "I'm just gonna sit here and talk to my little brothers home room teacher,"

Shaking my head with a smile, I head out the room and down the hallway. Sending soft smiles toward the students as I push through the hallways before heading out onto campus toward the training gyms. My hands curling into fists as I push open the doors to the closest gym there is. A small smirk on my lips when I notice a plume of green hair in the air and the sound of rocks being smashed into smithereens with a feeble yell of 'smash' following it.

Bingo!

Slamming the doors shut, I walk further into the gym. My eyes landing on the short green haired male jumping toward a large cement block that Cementoss must have sorted out for him. The greenette smashing his foot into the cement, destroying sections of it and letting pieces of cement fly every. My father stood on the ground, giving him certain tips about his aims and his technique. A fond smile on his lips.

Ignoring the slight jealous tug in my stomach, I walk toward my father, looking toward Midoriya as he lands on the floor. Green lightning sparkling around his person as he looks toward me before looking back at my father who curses under his breath.

"(Y/n), not —"

"Midoriya, could you please give me a moment to speak with my father?" I ask crossing my arms over my chest, watching him nervously look toward All Might who looks toward me, "Now, Midoriya!"

"That was rather rude," My father hums as Midoriya scurries out the room, taking a deep breath as he walks toward the middle of the arena, looking toward me, "Care to spar?"

"You wanna talk about rude," I hum, grabbing my hair tie from my pocket and pinning my hair back into a ponytail, walking toward him before shaking my hand to reveal my quirk, my hands covered in light blue light, "What the hell was that last night? Hm? I try to have a nice dinner and you start ruining it?"

"I'm just looking out for you," My father hums as he takes a deep breath and allows his hero form to take charge, a big grin on his lips as he flexes gently to get used to his form before getting into a position, "I don't want my daughter to marry someone that can't look after her,"

"I've gone five years without someone looking after me, why would I need it now?" I ask, getting into a stance and narrowing my eyes, glaring toward him before charging at him and throwing a beam of energy toward him making him reel back, "If I needed someone to look after me, where were you all this time?! Hm?! Where were you when I fell pregnant?! When I was in labor?!"

"Where was your boyfriend?" All Might asks as he throws a punch toward me, cursing under his breath as I duck under his arm; grab it and twist it over to help me kick him in the face before pushing myself away, "Where was Toya when you were pregnant? He was being a villain! Murdering innocent people! Kidnapping children! You want to marry that?"

"He didn't have a choice! He was trying to get away from his dad!" I reply wheezing as his fist comes into contact with my stomach sending me back, sending me flying toward the boundaries of the arena but I begin surrounding myself with my quirk to freeze my fall, my father staring at me panting, "He's paying for his crimes and he's apologised! He hasn't even done anything like that for nearly six months! Enji is fine with the marriage! Why aren't you?!"

"Because I don't like him nor do I trust him!"

Halting in my attack, I stare toward him with wide eyes. Turning off my quirk as I stand on my two feet, glaring toward him as he shakes his head and lets his deflated form take over. The male running his fingers through his hair as he looks away. Almost feeling guilty.

"What do you mean you don't like him?" I ask crossing my arms over my chest, glaring toward him as he fiddles with his shirt, "Dad, what's so wrong with him? He's a great dad and Hiro adores him! He's a great boyfriend and he cares about me! Why?!"

"I cannot allow myself to watch my daughter marry a criminal," he says shaking his head, looking toward me as he sighs, "If he was a decent person, then I wouldn't have any qualms... but he's a villain. He murdered people. He's an arsonist. What makes you think that he won't do that again?"

"Because he knows that if he does that he'll lose Hiro and I again," I tell him, taking a deep breath as I look away, "Enji is fine with it..."

"He's fine with it because his son is marrying my daughter," He replies glaring, shaking his head when I glare back, "He couldn't care less what his son is, he's marrying All Might's daughter and that's all he cares about,"

"But he's not like that, dad... Toya won't hurt me," I tell him, shaking my head as he sits down, running his fingers through his hair, "I'm marrying him, he's my fiancé... he literally came in earlier to give me lunch! What isn't there to like about it?... or is there something else you don't like?"

"Darling, I love you so much, you know I do. I love you and I love Hiro so much... but I can't allow myself to like someone like Dabi," he says sighing, looking toward me. Having the audacity to begin to well up with tears, "I even spoke to Inko —"

"Who the hell is Inko?"

He instantly stops in his tracks and bites his lip. The male avoiding eye contact with me making me narrow my eyes at him before scoffing and shaking my head. Of course. Let's add more to the pile of shit that is my life! My father now has a girlfriend.

"Sweetie, look... I love you but I cannot support this marriage..." he says shaking his head, ignoring my death glare as he takes a deep breath, "I can't come... I apologise..."

"So you're not coming?" I ask, taking a deep breath as he shakes his head, a small hum leaving my lips, "Fine,"

"You're not... upset?" He asks, looking toward me as I bite back a laugh and shake my head, the male narrowing his eyes almost confused, "Why not?..."

"Should I be?" I ask crossing my arms over my head as I smile toward him, almost in a bittersweet fashion, "You haven't been to any of my milestones in my life. You weren't there at my sweet sixteen or my graduation. You weren't at my prom... or at the birth of my son... you didn't help me when I was in need of help when Toya disappeared or when Hiro went down with a cold when he was only a few months old.. to be honest... I'm not surprised you're not going to be there for my wedding,"

"Right..." he hums looking down, taking a deep breath to try and psyche himself up for something before looking toward me, "And... Inko is... a friend... she is Young Midoriya's mother..."

"Of course she is," I hum, pulling my hair out and running my fingers through the kinks of my hair, clearing my throat, "Well... at least you got a son like you wanted,"

Before I could hear what he says, I storm out the gym, slamming the door behind me and ignoring the greenette male standing outside the door. An uncomfortable aura spreading around him as he looks toward me before he scurried back into the gym. Shaking my head, I head back toward the classroom. A small smile on my lips when I see both Eri and Hiro sitting on the floor and playing with one another.

Dabi must have moved them into here while the other students get ready for their hero training...

Smiling gently, I walk toward my fiancé who welcomes me into his arms and pulls me close. A kiss presses itself against my cheek as I lean into him with a weak smile, intertwining my hands with his as I look at my wedding ring.

"I assume it went badly," Dabi hums, chuckling as he watches Hiro and Eri play with their action figures getting the All Might figure to bash against the Endeavor figure to 'defeat him' making me giggle gently, "How bad?..."

"He's not coming to the wedding," I reply gently, looking toward Dabi who bites his lip and pulls me close as I snuggle into his chest, "Plus... he's got a... lady friend... Midoriya's mom..."

"Well that's not a surprise," he hums gently, looking toward me as I press a kiss to his cheek, leaning my cheek against his shoulder as we watch the two children play, "I'm sorry babe... it's my fault,"

"I don't care about it... he's not marrying you," I reply looking up at him, squeezing his hand gently, "As long as I have you and my baby boy, I'll be happy,"

"Are you having fun, bud?" Dabi asks, looking toward Hiro who eagerly nods as he plays heroes with Eri, the pair giggling toward one another as they grab their other hero figures and making them fight one another.

"Twenty bucks says that those two will get married in the future,"...

"You're on baby doll,"...
