Chapter 10

Arching a brow, I watch as Dabi opens the bedroom door, Hiro wrapping his arms around his neck, giggling softly. Smiling softly, I look between the two males eyes, noticing that there is no difference bar that Hiro's is twinkling with happiness, his little hands making grabby motions in my direction, and Dabi's eyes were just emotionless. His aloof persona showing in his eyes as he sets Hiro down.

Hiro teeters out of the room, sitting on one of the couches while Twice dives next to him, setting the boy on his lap before turning on the tv, watching some kids cartoons. Twice, clapping his hands like a child, holds Hiro close, acting like an uncle toward the toddler before Dabi shuts the door, staring my way crossing his arms.

Gulping softly, I look toward the male, a sly smile on my lips as I lean back onto the headboard, crossing my arms too. Time to put my theories to the test. Breathing softly, closing my eyes, I needed to think about this carefully. Any forward questions, he'd instantly shut down and storm off like he did the yesterday. He ended up not visiting me for dinner, letting me starve for the night. He hasn't visited me until now, only when Hiro kept annoying him into it.

But I needed answers. I needed to know why my mothers bracelet, that my father gave to me, that I then gave to Toya, who was presumed dead by his family and practically disappeared, was in that drawer. I couldn't just ask him outright and force the answer out of him, if I made any attempt to attack he'd just burn me alive. I was at the disadvantage, tied down with quirk cancelling cuffs, he had the advantage, able to use his quirk.

However, how was I going to subtly ask someone if they're my 'dead' boyfriend? The only evidence I could back up that he was Toya was that he owned many photos of us together and the bracelet that I held dearly to my heart as well as possessing the same eyes as Hiro. Dabi clears his throat, initiating the conversation, however I had other thoughts.

"How did you get those scars?" I ask, crossing my legs as best as I could, watching as he releases a groan, "They look painful,"

"What's with all the questions?" He asks, pushing off the door, walking toward me, "Last time I checked, the victim would remain tight lipped, scared to even talk,"

"I want to get to know my captor if I'm in for the long haul," I reply shrugging softly, smiling innocently at the mysterious male, "And I'm not your usual victim, scar face, I'm a Pro,"

"If you're a 'Pro' why did you let yourself be kidnapped?" He asks, almost mocking me, as he arches a brow, "And less of the nickname,"

"You didn't answer my question, scar face" I point out, leaning forward with a playful grin and pointing toward him, "What's your story?"

"That's a pathetic nickname, your son could come up with better," he replies avoiding the question altogether making me curse under my breath.

However, his blue eyes were roaming around the room, looking everywhere other than me. His usually collected and aloof demeanour dropping as he runs his fingers through his hair. Upon close inspection, you could see the white roots pushing the black hair dye out. Toya would often do the exact same thing if he was uncomfortable with something I had asked or done, usually he'd lick his lips to. Arching a brow, I lean back, holding my hands in my lap as he tries to get back onto what he was talking about. Trying to send me a glare to scare me off.

"So how come I'm here?" I ask, changing the topic, playing with my fingers, "The answer you gave me the other day wasn't good enough, is it for your benefit or someone else's?"

"Shigaraki let me do a personal thing," he explains crossing his arms back on the defensive mode while I continue to prod at him, "As I said before, it's to keep you safe,"

"Why would he let you do a personal thing?" I ask arching a brow, leaning forward trying to press on him even harder, "Last time I heard, Shigaraki doesn't take kindly to this sort of thing. He's more of a benefitting hun kind of man,"

"You're All Might's daughter, so it was an exception," he replies before staring at the wall wide eyed, realising what he just said, "Shit,"

"I'm who's daughter, 'Dabi'?" I ask smirking crossing my arms and leaning back against the headboard in victory, "You want to run that by me again, smart guy?"

He fell into his own trap. Bumbling over his words as he tries to make up an excuse. Knowing that I, if he was Toya, only disclosed this information with one person. That one person, was my boyfriend Toya Todoroki. Toya never knew a guy named 'Dabi'. As well as that, Toya swore on my life that he'd never tell anyone unless it was an emergency. Sure, I never even knew what quirk Toya had, considering that he hated using it because it reminded him of his father, but the fire quirk, the red roots, the blue eyes.

He was a Todoroki! My Todoroki!

"Toya? Is that you?" I call out, looking toward him and releasing a small sigh as he tenses up. I need to know. I need to keep pressing, "Because I have told only one person that and it definitely wasn't this 'Dabi' person,"

"No? Who's Toya?" He asks, playing it cool, glaring my way. It's almost childish, "I didn't say anything,"

"Then who are you protecting me from? Huh?" I ask, wiping my eyes and biting back the whine wanting to escape my throat, "Is it from yourself? From your father? Other villains?"

"(Y/n), please," he sighs looking my way and rubbing the bridge of his nose, irritated, "Don't start,"

"Don't start?" I ask incredulously as I release a wet laugh before glaring at him with a sniffle, "You have a pictures of me and my dead boyfriend... You have my mothers bracelet in that damn drawer... Tell me now. Honestly. Are you Toya Todoroki? Yes or no?"

"I don't go by that name anymore, babe"...
