In the morning,

Karan was waiting for preeta outside her room

Karan : aur kitna time lagega

Preeta : bas 2 minute

She comes outside

Preeta was looking beautiful and karan was admiring her beauty. She was looking down

Preeta : kya hua?

Karan came back other senses

Karan : ku.. Kuch nhi

Preeta : chale?

Karan nods

They went out

Preeta was excited as she had never been to one.

They reached the office

Preeta was completely nervous and quiet. Karan introduced her to the whole staff but she didn't say a word

Karan : megha, tum preeta ko uska cabin dikha do

Megha (karan's secretary) : okay sir

Karan : preeta, tum iske saath jao. Tumhe kissi bhi cheez ki zaroorat ho, to mujhe batana

Preeta nods

Megha showed preeta her cabin

Preeta touched the desk. She saw the pile of books and papers kept there. She smiled and sat on the chair

She started looking at the files but couldn't understand what to do

She was confused but did not want to embarrass karan.

She stood up and went into karan's cabin. She saw karan working on his laptop

Karan saw her standing at the door

Karan : kya hua? Kuch chahiye tha? Andar aao na

Preeta : wo.. Wo mujhe.. Mujhe samajh nhi aa raha ki mai kya karu..

Karan smiles a little : tum chinta Mat karo. Mai megha ko bol deta hu, wo tumhe sab samjha degi

They were talking when they heard some voices from the back (outside the cabin)

Person 1 : tumhe kya lagta hai sir ne iss preeta ko kyu job di

Person 2 : isse to kuch aata bhi nhi. She's not even educated.

Person 1 : mujhe to lagta hai ki sir ka aur iska kuch chakkar chal raha hai. Issi wajah se to isse office mein rakh liya

Person 2 : Haa, varna iske jaisi gawaar ladki ko koi kyu rakhega

Preeta, who had heard all this was feeling broken and unwanted

Karan banged the door and went out of the cabin angrily

Preeta closed her eyes fearfully after listening to the loud bang

The whole staff saw karan and stood up being scared

Karan looked at those two people angrily  (who were talking about preeta)

Karan : hello you two. So aap kya keh rhe the. Thoda zor se bolo. Mai sun'na chahta hu.

Person : I.. I'm sorry sir. Mera wo mat..Matlab....  nhi tha

Karan : oh really! To mujhe batao kya Matlab tha tumhara.

Both the people look down

Preeta was listening to all this and had tears in her eyes. She was still standing in karan's cabin nit being able to face anyone

Karan : kya keh rahe the tum dono. Haa. Ki preeta educated nhi hai. Gawaar hai wo. Haa? Uneducated to tum log ho! Ek Ladki ki izzat karna tak nhi jaante! Usse Gawaar keh rhe the na! Pehle Khud ko dekho! Maana ki wo padhi likhi nhi hai. Par Itna sab kuch hone ke baad bhi tumhare paas wo nhi hai jo preeta ke paas hai.

Both the people were standing there, feeling guilty. The whole staff was looking at them

Karan continues : tumhare paas preeta jaisa saaf dil nhi hai. Tumhe uski tarah logo ki respect karna nhi aata. Tum jaante bhi ho preeta ko?

Person : I'm sorry sir..

Karan : sorry mujhe nhi! Usse kaho jiske baare mein bina soche samjhe kuch bhi keh rahe the

Karan goes in his cabin and looks at preeta. Preeta looked at him tearfully. Karan wiped her tears and smiled
He held her hand and brought her outside.

Both the people : I'm.. I'm sorry... Aage se aisa kuch nhi hoga

Karan : good. Aage se aisa karne ka mauka bhi nhi milega tumhe. Because you both are fired.

Preeta looked at karan

Preeta : n.. Nahi.. Uski.. Uski koi zaroorat nhi hai.. Inhe apni galti ka ehsaas ho gaya.. Wahi bahot hai mere liye..

Karan : dekh rahe ho isse. Ye hai preeta. Tumne itna kuch kaha iske baare mein. Phir bhi tumhe.. (karan chuckles). Kher, tum nhi samjhoge. Preeta jaisa dil jo nhi hai.

Person feeling guilty : I'm really sorry preeta.

Preeta : it's okay

Karan loudly : sab log kaan khol ke sun lo. Agar aaj ke baad. Meine preeta ke baare mein kuch bhi aisa vaisa Suna. To mujhse bura koi nhi hoga!

He goes back to his cabin again

Preeta went behind him

Karan : preeta.. Unki taraf se I'm also sorry.. Tumhara office ka pehla din tha... Aur itna kuch ho gaya

Preeta : nahi nahi.. Aap kyu sorry bol rahe hai.. Aapki koi galti nhi thi.. And.. Thank u so much.. Aaj aapne mere liye jo kuch bhi kiya.. Thank you very much..

Karan : preeta, tumhe iss office mein Mai laaya tha, aur ye meri zimmedari hai ki tumhe wo respect mile jo tum deserve karti ho. So thank u ki koi baat nahi hai.

He smiles. Preeta smiled back

Preeta : aap mere liye itna kuch kar rahe hai.. Itna toh koi apna bhi nhi karta.. Thank you

Karan smiles : Mai megha ko bol deta hu tumhe tumhara kaam samjha degi

Preeta nods and left

At night,

Mihika had come to meet preeta

Mihika : kaisi ho?

Preeta : mai theek hu. Thank you so much

Mihika smiles

Preeta : aapki wajah se.. Wo itna badal gaye hai.. Thank you so much.. Agar aap nhi hoti toh.. Pata nahi kya hota

Mihika keeps her hand on preeta's shoulder.

Mihika : dekho.. Preeta, mera bhai bura nhi hai. Uske saath itna kuch hua hai ki wo khud ko sambhal nhi paa raha tha.. Aur yahi wajah hai ki usne tumhare sath aisa behave kara.

Preeta looks at her, listening everything carefully

Mihika : wo pehle aisa nhi tha. Wo bahot alag tha. Sabki respect karta tha, sabse has ke milta tha. Hamesha khush rehta tha aur ab to jaise, hasna hee bhul gaya ho

Preeta : par kyu? Aisa kya hua tha unke saath?

Mihika : wo apni behen se bahot pyaar karta tha. Aur jab wo bahot chota tha, tab uski maa ne paiso ke liye, karan ki behen ko kissi ke saath bhej diya. Karan ko tab iss baare mein kuch nhi pata tha. Aur jab pata chala, usne apni behen ko har jagah dhunda. Par wo kahin nhi Mili.

Preeta looks down recalling what had happened with her

Mihika continues : aur tab se hee, wo apni maa aur har ek aurat se Nafrat karta hai. Usse lagta hai ki sab ek jaisi hai. Aur issi liye usne tumhare saath ye sab kiya..

Preeta looks down thinking about all this. A part of her wanted to bring the old karan back.

She hoped that a part of the old him would still be alive.

She wanted to find his sister and make him happy again.

Mihika wipes her tears 

Mihika : (changing the topic) : so kaisa raha office ka pehla din?

Preeta recalls how karan fought for her. She smiled.

Preeta : bahot Acha tha

Mihika : Chalo acha hai. Aur suno, tumhe kabhi bhi, kissi bhi cheez ki zaroorat ho to mujhe call karna. Mai karan ke saath saath, tumhari bhi badhi behen jaisi hu

Mihika smiled : okay?

Preeta nods : okay. Thank you di

Mihika hugged her

She left

Preeta was wondering about karan and his sister.

Screen froze
