"I'm worried about my mom." Danny said the next day.

"Is there any way we could get her to stay here?"

"Oh Jessie I wouldn't ask you to do that, plus what if she disapproves of the baby."

"Baby, not only would I do it for you, but I'd be doing it for her. I may be saving her life by helping and she's not going to disapprove of her grandson."

"You're right."

"When am I not?"

He rolled his eyes at her before rubbing her belly.

"I love you honey, but we have work to do." She said, sitting down on the couch to put her boots on.

"You crack me up in your overalls and chicken boots."

"Leave me and my chicken boots alone." She said, before trying to stand up.

"Here let me help you."

He grabbed her hand and helped her up.

"I hear all of you chickies. Mommas coming to feed you!" She squealed as she walked out the door after putting her jacket on.

Danny went to take care of the fence that the horses had broke and then he had to clean up the stalls.

Jessica made her rounds feeding all of the animals as Danny worked on everything. This job was very repetitive, but she loved every moment of it. She felt closer to Sam while she did these things. Even though she felt guilty for feeling that way because of Danny.

At the end of the day Jessica walked through the front door of her farmhouse exhausted.

"You look tired." Her mother said.

"She really does." Ann said.

"Yet, I didn't see you helping." Jessica huffed as she kicked off her shoes and laid on the couch.

"Jessica, honey, you stink."

"I know, I know, just let me rest for a moment and I'll go bathe."

Ann and Dorothy moved to the other couch.

Danny followed soon after kicking his shoes off at the door. He looked over at a very tired Jessica and pouted.

"Come on Jessie, let me bath you and put you to bed. You're smelly."

"Will you do all the work?" She asked sitting up.

"Of course."

"Then deal!"

She stood up and went upstairs with him.
