Due date was only a week away and everyone was getting excited. Neither Emma or Regina had been going to school the last week because Emma was so big, she could barely walk. With every day getting closer, Emma was getting more and more nervous. Regina and Emma were still in bed. Regina woke up but didn't want to disturb Emma. Regina turned to face her sleeping girlfriend who looked like an angel. Regina smiled and couldn't help herself. She placed a hand on Emma's belly and she smiled when she felt a kick. Emma's eyes fluttered open at the touch of Regina's hand and the kick of one of the babies. She smiled when she saw Regina smiling at her. "Morning baby." Regina whispered giving Emma a little kiss on her nose. Emma blushed and had a big smile on her face. "Only 7 days babe." Emma whispered. Regina's smile grew even bigger and that's when she asked Emma the question. "Emma, these last 8 months with you have been amazing. We've had so much fun together even though we've had a lot of hard times too. I couldn't imagine living with anyone else for the rest of my life. Will you..." Regina was interrupted by Emma "whoa, yes I'll marry you, but we're only 18..." Emma said. Regina grabbed Emma's hands. "Emma, I know I want to spend the rest of my life with you." Regina smiled with tears in her eyes. Emma smiled and wiped away the tears before kissing her. "Me too baby." Emma whispered. Regina stood up and grabbed something out of her bag. She walked back next to Emma, and gave it to her. "Emma laughed when she saw the plastic ring inside the the plastic bubble. "Sorry I don't have the money for a real one." Regina smiled. Emma gave her a passionate kiss and that's when it happened. Emma pulled away and clutched her stomach groaning in pain. After a minute she looked at Regina full of fear. "Gina... It's time!" She said. Regina smiled and kissed Emma again before getting dressed. Regina called her mom and Kathryn and they said they would meet them at the hospital. Regina ran through the house to get Emma's mom. She found her in her office working at her computer."Ms. Blanchard, Emma's going into labor." Regina said trying to stay calm. Her mom immediately stood up and hugged Regina, before the two of them ran into Emma's bedroom. They helped Emma out of bed and helped walk her to Regina's car. "Dear, you take her, I have to leave for a business trip in an hour." Emma's mom said. Regina nodded. We sat Emma in the car and Emma had another contraction. "Mom don't go!" Emma cried. "Emma, you will be fine. Regina will take good care of you." Her mom said to her and kissed her on the forehead. "Good luck" she said before going back inside the house. Regina closed the car door and ran to the drivers side. She jumped in and started the car and took off. "Gina, what if I can't do this?" Emma asked in pain as another contraction came. Regina grabbed Emma's hand. "I'm right here Em." Regina said soothingly.

After a fifteen minute drive, which felt like hours for Emma, they arrived at the hospital. Regina ran inside and grabbed a nurse to help her get Emma out of the car. The nurse grabbed a wheel chair and they ran back outside to the car. They got Emma into the chair and the nurse ran her back inside, Regina following them closely. They put Emma in a bed and hooked her up to a bunch of monitors. Regina sat down in a chair next to Emma and held her hand. "Emma, it's going to be a very long, painful, and exhausting process for you. Let us know if you need anything. It's going to be a few hours before anything significant happens. " The doctor said. "Oh and Regina, immediate family only, sorry." Regina's heart broke and Emma held up her hand. "We're engaged... And my mom's on a business trip, please don't let me do this alone." Emma pleaded. Dr. Whale sighed and decided to let Regina stay. Regina smiled at Emma. "See? I told you, you will never have to be alone again." Regina said with love in her eyes. Just then, Regina's phone buzzed. She read the text and looked at Emma. "My mom and sister are outside, do you want them to come in?" Regina asked. Emma nodded with a smile and Regina texted them the okay to come in. Not even 15 seconds after Regina tapped the send button, her mom came running in through the door, Kathryn trailing behind her. Regina's mom hugged her daughter then walked over to Emma. "How you doin kiddo?" Regina's mom asked. "Good, as long as I have Gina by my side." Emma said smiling as Regina looked at Emma. "Mom, we're engaged. I know we're young, but we don't have to get married anytime soon. I know I want to spend the rest of my life with Emma." Regina said smiling. "Oh honey I'm so happy for you!" Regina's mom said. "I'd thought my younger sister would never get married before I did." Kathryn said teasingly and they all laughed. Just then Emma groaned in pain with another contraction and Regina's mom looked at Regina. "We'll let you two be. We will be out in the lobby if you need anything." She said and her and Kathryn ran out the door. "How am I supposed to do this Gina?" It's already so painful and I have to do this twice!" Regina sat down next to Emma in the chair and took her hand again. "Don't worry Em.everything will be okay. Squeeze my hand as hard as you need dear." Regina said.

After about two hours of only minor contractions, the door burst open. The girls looked over to see robin, he was one of the only other kids at school, besides Belle and Ruby, who didn't care about what others thought about Emma and Regina. They saw a cast on his arm. "Robin what happened?" Emma asked. "broke my arm skating" robin answered. "I saw your mom and sister in the waiting room so I knew you guys had to be here. How is everything?" Robin asked Emma. "Painful." Emma said. "I bet it's not as painful as a broken bone." He said. "Oh yeah? Try pushing out not one, but two things the size of a watermelon out of your god damn vagina which is like the size of a fucking golf ball." Emma said teasingly. They all laughed. "Yea you guys have to go through a lot of shit. Luckily for me, I don't have a vagina." Robin said laughing and they all laughed even harder. Then Emma had another contraction, this one was way more painful and she screamed out in pain and squeezed Regina's hand. "Oops look at the time, I must be going." Robin said with a smile. "Bye robin. Oh could you send in the doctor?" Regina asked robin before he left. Robin nodded and ran out the door.

A minute later, Dr.whale came in. He did a quick exam of Emma and smiled. "Well honey, you're getting closer. I'd say about another half an hour and you should be ready." He said smiling. He pulled off his blue latex gloves and walked out of the room. Emma smiled at Regina. "You ready?" Regina asked. Emma smiled again and nodded. "What changed your mind?" Regina asked lovingly. Emma shrugged. "I guess I realized that if it gets me my kid or kids in this case, it's worth it, especially when you're with me every step of the way." Emma said smiling. Regina kissed Emma on the cheek just before Emma had another contraction and she screamed even louder. "Squeeze my hand baby." Regina reminded Emma. The doctor came in after a few more minutes, put on another pair of gloves and examined Emma again. "Well, it looks like it's time. Are you ready honey? It's going to hurt a lot, but it will be worth it I promise." Dr. Whale said smiling up at Emma. Emma nodded her head nervously and Regina gave her hand a little squeeze to help reassure her. After another couple minutes, Emma had another contraction and she squeezed Regina's hand, and tried not to cry. "You're doing great Emma. Keep going. When I say push, push okay?" The doctor said. Emma nodded. Another contraction came quickly and the doctor told her to push and she did. "Good Emma, I see the head, just a few more." Dr. Whale said. Emma cried out in pain as one of the most painful contractions came. She squeezed Regina's hand so hard, Regina couldn't feel her fingers. "One more push." The doctor said, and Emma gave one more hard push and she felt a sudden wave of relief wash over her as she cried out in pain. Then she heard the crying of a baby. The doctor smiled at Emma. "It's a boy Emma. Now one more to go." Dr. Whale said as he handed the baby boy to a nurse to take care of. Emma was sweating, her face was red, and she had tears running down her face. "It hurts Gina." Emma said looking at Regina. "I know dear, you're half way done. Just one more." Regina reassured her with a little squeeze of her hand and a warm smile. After five minutes, Emma had another big contraction and she squeezed Regina's hand hard. She screamed and pushed. "Just one more!" The doctor said. She had one more contraction, the most painful and she pushed, screamed, and squeezed Regina's hand all at once. Regina winced in pain, feeling her fingers crack in Emma's hand. Then they heard the sound of the second baby. "And this is your baby girl." Dr. Whale said smiling as he handed her to a nurse to check out. Emma smiled as she gasped for air. "See babe you did it!" Regina said excitedly "oh can I hold them?" Emma asked the nurse. She nodded and handed the baby boy to her first and then the baby girl. Emma smiled looking down at her two children. Regina rested her chin on Emma's shoulder admiring the tiny babies. After a few minutes, Regina's mom and sister, Ruby, and Belle all came into the room. "Hey!" Ruby whispered as she looked at Regina, and an exhausted Emma who was holding two babies in her arms. "Hi guys." Regina said and stood up and hugged everyone. "So when are you going to tell me the name of my daughter?" Regina asked Emma. "Your daughter?" Belle and Ruby asked in unison and extremely surprised . "Oops yea I forgot to tell you that we're engaged!" Regina said smiling. "That's awesome Gina!" Belle said hugging Regina. "So Em?" Regina said again. Emma sighed with a huge smile on her face. "Ava. Her name is Ava." Emma said Regina immediately had tears streaming down her face and she ran over to hug Emma. "Thank you Em." Regina said. Regina stood up to face her mom and sister who were also crying. Regina hugged them. Belle and Ruby not quite understanding their reactions. That's when Regina explained to them who Ava was. She never told them because it was too hard for her to talk about. She had only told Emma, and other than her, only her mom and sister knew who Ava was. Regina went back over to Emma and kissed her gently, then took the sleeping baby Ava out of her arms and held her proudly. "Hello baby Ava, welcome to Storybrooke." Regina whispered to the baby in her arms with a huge smile on her face.
