It's quite long since I updated this story but still the votes are only 32.. if it continues like this you will get update once in a month from now and this chapter is a shorter one only due to the less votes 🙂

Coming back to the story..

Preeta (whispered tearfully): Ka.. Karan...

'Kya hua beta.. tu abhi tak taiyaar hone nahi gayi' Priya said entering inside the room

Preeta turned towards her and looked at her with tears while Priya got shocked seeing the tears.. she immediately went towards her

Priya (worriedly)): Preeta kya ho beta kyon ro rahi hai?

Preeta: Maa.. mom woh Karan.. Karan ka acc.. accident ho.. ho gaya hai

Priya (shocked): Yeh.. yeh tu kya bol rahi hai?

Preeta (tearfully): Mom woh Shrishti ka.. phone aaya tha.. woh keh rahi thi.. ki (criers) ki Karan ka accident ho gaya hai

Priya stumbled listening to her but Preeta immediately held her

Preeta: Mom.. mom sambhaliye apne aap ko

Priya (tearfully): Mujhe.. mujhe mere Karan k pass le chal.. please.. mujhe mere bete k pass jaana hai

Preeta: Haa mom.. hum hum chalenge (controlling her tears) aap chinta matt kariye.. Karan.. Karan ko kuch nahi hoga

Priya nodes tearfully and after informing Manoj they all went to the hospital

In Hospital

Preeta and the Luthra's reached the hospital and the Arora's to reach there

Priya was crying and Sudha was consoling her while Rakesh was consoling Manoj

Preeta was seating in the chair while covering her face and crying.. Shrishti sat beside her and hugged her comfronting her

Preeta breaks into tears and hugged her back

Preeta (crying): Yeh sab mere wajah se ho raha hai.. mai Karan k liye bohot unlucky hu.. dekh naa.. kal hi meri shaadi usse hui.. aur aaj.. woh.. (cries)

Priya who listened her stood up and went towards her.. she sat beside her and made her look at him

Priya: Kay bakwas kar rahi hai tu.. agar mera beta yeh bakwas sunega naa.. toh bohot gussa karega tujhpe.. tu koi unlucky nahi hai samjhi

Shrishti: Aur tu abb chup ho jaa.. kuch nahi hoga Karan ko.. woh.. woh bilkul theek ho jayega aur dekhna.. phir tujhe waise hi pareshan karega (breaks the hug) tujhe baar baar bajarbatti bula kar.. tujhe irritate karega.. tujhse jhagda karega.. tujhe babydoll bulaega

Preeta (tearfully): Mai toh chahti hu.. ki woh mujhe yeh sab bulaye.. bass ekk baar woh theek ho jaaye.. phir mujhe jetna bhi irritate karna hai kar le.. mai usee kuch nahi kahungi.. bass.. bass ekk baar woh theek ho jaaye

Shrishti: Ho jayega theek.. tu.. (wipes her tears) tu naa rona band kar

Priya: Haa.. tu naa roh matt.. aur khabardar jo apne aap ko blame kiya toh

Sudha smiled emotionally seeing them

Preeta (to Shrishti): Par.. par.. yeh.. yeh accident hua kaise.. tum sab gaye kaha the.. ?

Priya: Haa.. tum dono bhi toh the Karan k saath.. toh yeh accident kaise hua?

Shrishti (in mind): Mai Preeta ko batau yaa nahi..

She looked at Sameer who nodes

Shrishti: Preeta.. woh Karan tere liye gift lene jaa raha tha.. woh mujhe bhi saath le gaya tha.. taaki mai uski help kar saku gift lene mai.. hum gift le kar nikal hi rahe the ki saamne se ekk car full spead mai aayi.. mai aur Sameer toh peeche the.. par Karan aage aage jaa raha tha.. woh car ekdum se aayi.. aur Karan ko.... (she closed her eyes and sighs not able to say further)

Preeta covers her mouth and sobs listening to her.. Priya too looked away with tears

Preeta (in mind): Chahe koi ketna bhi bol le.. par yeh sab meri wajah se hi hua hai.. naa Karan mere liye gift laane jaata.. aur naa uska accident hota

After sometime

The doctor came out of the ward.. all looked at him and immediately went to him

Preeta (to doctor): Doctor Karan kaisa hai? Woh theek toh hai naa abb?

Doctor: Dekhiye Mrs. Luthra.. aap chinta matt kariye.. patient bilkul theek hai.. jyaada kuch nahi hua hai bass maathe par choti si chhot aayi hai.. chinta ki koi baat nahi hai.. woh kuch din aaram karenge.. toh bilkul theek ho jayenge

All sighs in relief after listening to the doctor

Sudha: Bhagwan ka sukr hai.. ki humara Karan theek hai aur jyada chot nahi lagi usee

Priya: Yeh sab Preeta k kaaran hua (all looked at her being confused) aur nahi toh kya.. Preeta mere Karan k liye bohot lucky hai.. Karan ko chhot gehri bhi lag sakti thi.. par Preeta k uski zindagi mai hone k kaaran usee jyada kuch nahi hua.. mujhe toh pehle hi bata tha.. ki meri bahu.. humare ghar ki.. aur mere bete ki lucky charm hai

Preeta looked at her emotionally

Manoj: Baat toh sahi kahi apne Priya ki.. Preeta humare liye bohot lucky hai

Sudha and Rakesh smiled listening them.. Shrishti and Sameer too smiles listening the praises for their friend

(Mai bhul gayi ki yeh dono bhi hai 😂)

Preeta (to doctor): Doctor hum Karan se mil sakte hai kya?

Doctor: Ji haa.. par abhi sirf aap mai se koi ekk hi andar jaa sakta hai.. patient ko abhi hosh nahi aaya hai

All nodes and doctor left from there

Preeta (to Priya): Mom.. aap chal jaiye.. jab Karan ko hosh aa jayega.. toh hum sabko bula lijiye Haa

Priya: Nahi tu andar jaa.. (Preeta was about to say) maine kaha naa tu andar jaa.. apni haalat dekh kya bana li hai.. ekk baar Karan ko dekh legi toh tassallii mil jayegi tujhe.. aur waise bhi.. Karan ko jyaada jarrurat teri hai abhi

Preeta nodes smilingly and left from there

Shrishti (whispers to Sameer): Preeta chinta mai thi isliye usee bata nahi paayi.. ki jis car se Karan ka accident hua tha.. maine Rahul ko woh car chalate hue dekha tha.. ekk baar Karan puri tarah se theek ho jaaye.. toh usee bata dungi.. phir wohi Rahul ko uski sahi jagah dikhaye gi

Sameer: Mujhe samajh nahi aata.. ki iss Rahul ki problem kya hai humare Karan se.. usne aisa kiya hi ku

Shrishti: Rahul ki problem hai Preeta aur Karan ka rishta.. woh nahi chahta tha.. ki yeh shaadi ho.. par ho gayi.. abb woh kuch bhi kar k.. Karan ko Preeta se alag karna ki koshish kar raha hai

Sameer: Jetni koshish karni hai usse woh kar le.. par unn dono ka kuch nahi bigad payega.. bass ekk baar Karan theek ho jaaye.. phir toh uss Rahul k liye wahi kafi hai..

Preeta entered inside Karan's ward and went towards Karan.. she sat beside him holding his hand

Preeta (controlling her tears): Bohot bure ho tum.. aur bohot bade nautanki baaz bhi.. doctor ne kaha ki chhot choti si hai.. aur tumne naa jaane hum sabko ketna dara diya.. abb bass ekk baar hosh mai aa jao.. phir acche se tumhari khabar lungi.. (looks at him who was lying there being unaffected) tch.. abb uth bhi jao.. etna bhi pareshan matt karo mujhe (with tears) utho naa please

A tear drop rolled down her eyes...she wipes it

Karan felt some moment and tried to opend his eyes.. after blinking his eyes got some minutes he finally opened them

Preeta looked at him and smiled with tears.. Karan looked at her

Preeta: Tumhe.. tumhe hosh aa gaya..

She cupped his face but he jerks it.. Preeta looked at him being confused

Karan (confused): Tum kaun ho? Aur mere pass kya kar rahi ho.. aur mai yaha kya kar raha hu?

Preeta (shocked): Karan.. tum mujhe nahi jante?

Karan (shrugs): Nahi.. mai toh tumhe aaj pehli baar dekh raha hu.. aur dekho.. etna toh mujhe pata hai.. ki tum meri girlfriend nahi ho.. ku ki tum mere type ki bilkul nahi lag rahi ho!!

Preeta (angrily): Haa toh mai tumhari girlfriend hu bhi nahi.. tumhari wife hu.. kal hi humari shaadi hui hai

Karan: Chal jhoothi.. tum meri wife nahi ho sakti.. tum meri type ki ho hi nahi

Preeta: Tumhe sacch mai kuch yaad nahi hai?

Karan: Mujhe teacher ne do min jo padhaya hota hai.. woh yaad nahi hota.. aur kuch kya hi yaad hoga

Preeta's eyes again got teary listening to him.. Karan widened his eyes seeing the tears in her eyes

But before the tear could come out of her eyes Karan said

Karan (shocked): Babydoll please rona matt.. mai toh majak kar raha tha

Preeta looked at him shockingly

Preeta (angrily): Tum pagal ho kya?  Yaha meri Jaan nikal gayi th.. aur tum ho ki.. (sighs)

Karan: Accha baba sorry (Preeta looks away) Preeta (he tries to sit but winced)

Preeta immediately looked at him.. she glared him and helped him to sit

Preeta: Kya karu mai tumhara? Agar baitha tha toh mujhe bolte help k liye.. khud hero bann ne ki kya jarurat thi?

Karan: Mujhe laga tum mujhse gussa ho.. toh meri help bhi nahi karogi

Preeta: Haa toh gussa hona bhi chahiye mujhe.. pata hai.. ketna darr gayi thi mai tumhari accident ki news sunn ke (tearfully) aur.. aur jab tumne kaha ki tum mujhe nahi jante ho.. meri toh jaan hi nikla gayi thi

Karan sighs and hugged her.. Preeta immediately hugged him back.. she closed her eyes feeling him

Karan (breaking the hug): I am sorry.. I promise aaj k baad aisa majak nahi karunga (wipes her tears) aur tum mujhe yeh promise karo.. ki tum rougi nahi.. ku ki.. tumhare aankho mai aansu dekh k.. mujhe bilkul accha nahi lagta hai

Preeta looked at him lostly

Preeta (while looking into his eyes): Aur aisa ku.. ku accha nahi lagta mujhe rote hue dekh k tumhe?

Karan: Because I....
