Ride with the jerk

I closed the door and casted a glimpsed at the stars who were mockingly twinkling at me.
"Put your seatbelt on." Chase ordered as he started the car and turned on the radio.
His words sounded intense, but that was clearly not the reason why I hurriedly fastened my seatbelt. I watched Fast and Furious, and most of all I knew how Paul Walker died.
R.I.P baby.
Also, in my situation the driver's ego was more than enough to get the car running by itself.
Without seeing beforehand, the dead road went back to life after a stickered car with a growling muffler, and an attached spoiler passed by, making Chase smirked in a more irritable way.
This is not good.
I gave him the don't look, but let us be real here, he wouldn't do that now, would he? An evil grin formed on his lips and bolted the car without letting another second to drop.
The road zoomed in as Chase kept on shifting its gear. Everything around us passed by in a blurb scene as my face started melting backwards, and my knuckles to turn pale white. A repeated sudden lane changes made me yelped and bobbed out of my seat. This was exactly the reason why I hesitated on riding with a dangerous driver. I didn't even wish for this ordeal to happen.
I wanna live! I replayed it in my head while Chase focused on chasing the other car. But the thought wasn't helping at all, added by a rap noise the radio was blaring it just made it worse.
Stress washes over me as I wondered if Chase really was this type each time a fast car ran before him. Like a dog who would chase another dog once he saw it running without him. A relief filled my lungs, when two roads with glowing signage flashes ahead us. The left road leads to our home, and the right road would lead us through the highways.
"Turn left!" I pointed, but he ignored my remark and drove fast through the right lane, into the tunnel. Didn't he hear what I just said?
"Chase!--" I started, but I got distracted when he swerved to the right, with the attempt to overtake the other car.
But, he quickly pulled his brakes, creating a screeching sound as he tried to avoid the other car who just cuts us out of the lane. With this failure, Chase responded with it by shifting the gear and hitting the gas, roaring the car like it was the last drive.
Jesus, help us! No, me. Help me! I cried deep through my thoughts.
We swiftly passed by the tunnel and made it through the highway. This is making me feel sick and anxious. I closed my eyes and just let my ears listened to growling engines, and sirens. Police?
Quickly, I perked my eyes open and turned my head around, seeing three police cars behind us.
Goodness, no!
My heart knocks out to my chest and I couldn't do anything but to breathe and hold tight to my seat. Chase only chuckled, with his eyes still focused on the road as he drove faster, tailgating the other car with an inch gap.
After reaching the same acceleration of the other car, Chase precipitately turned the wheel followed by another screeching sound from the rubber tires on the concrete road as he overtook it. He scrolled the window on my side having the clear vision of the driver of the other.
He wore a mohawk hair and his half body in sight was covered with tattoos, which to me wasn't even attractive. With another swift movement, Chase grabbed something underneath his seat and pointed it out. My eyes went out of their sockets and I gasped, seeing him holding a gun.
"Your busted! Stop your car or I'll shoot you before you even reach the end of this road!" Chase stiffly demanded, pretending to be the head chief.
Nice one. But I don't think that's gonna work. I thought as I tried to avoid the wind slapping on my face.
The driver of the other car glimpsed on his rearview mirror and quickly halted, which left me jaw slacked. His outlooks doesn't seem to describe him being tough. Instead, I had seen a coward. Although, I would do the same if I was told to be shot down by a guy with other three police cars behind me.
I looked at Chase already smirking at me, "Why do you have a gun??"
"For defensive purposes." He chuckled, "You look so stress, what's the matter?"
"Just close the window already!" I shouted, struggling to pick my hair up in a ponytail as it has been dancing in a mess.
"Granted..." He closed the window, and finally decided to turn the radio off, letting a moment with silence to come up. "So, any requests?" He grinned with his question, annoying me more with what other meanings it held.
"Well FYI, the only thing I've been wishing, is for me to be home right now and never see you again for the rest of my freaking life! I smiled, incredulously.
"Hmm.."
"Hmm.." I pulled the edge of my lips but quickly retrieved it, rolling my eyes.
Stupid.
I looked at the back seeing the cops dragging the man earlier into the police car. Shifting on my seat, I breathed out with relief. We gunned though the road, and noticed the wailing of sirens still tailing behind us even if we ran meters away from the scene a minute ago.
I grumbled, covering my face with my palms, "We are so dead."
Chase remained silent and I took my hands away from my face to look at him. His expression took me off guard, there seems to have no surprise sketched on his face. Why the hell is he acting that way??
Chase shrugged and shifted his gear as he boosted the speed, "Well, I guess we have to evade them."
"Oh yeah... What a safe way to say, let's escape the inescapable." I grunted, as I crossed my arms to my chest with my eyebrows crimped and lips pouted.
"Sorry." He confessed, faking a smile before zooming in.
"I'd rather hear you say nothing." I mumbled, looking away from him.
"I'd rather see the passenger seat empty."
My eyes flamed, my ears rang, and my nose vented out an air, "You'd rather see this seat empty?!--"
"FINE YOU CLONED FIGURE OF SATAN!"
"Wait, what did you call me?" He asked, while eying the road and maintaining a speed.
"Didn't you hear?!" I squalled, in a strident voice while I unbuckled my seatbelt.
"Okay, what the heck are you doing?" His tone was strong yet soft.
"Something that will make you happy!" I abruptly rose my feet, and lifted my body towards the back seat with a light thud.
"Oh, for the love of God! I'm only kidding!" Chase reasoned out, catching a glimpse on me through the rear view mirror.
"SHUT UP or I'll puke the Oreos which I've been keeping in my throat for the passed few minutes, all over your car!!" I yelled, not wanting to hear anymore coming from him.
"Jeez, hold it in. I'll shut up, okay?" He sighed a sign of surrender. "Girls." He muttered, shaking his head with disbelief.
I mimicked his words inwardly as I imagined myself strangling him to death. Ooo sweet revenge.
And I'm serious, I really feel like vomiting right now. I held on to the seat even tighter as Chase hits the gas to completely elude the cops.
I closed my eyes and sucked a breath in, trying to relax myself as I slowly exhaled. I felt tired even if I wasn't the one driving. After a moment, we suddenly halted to a stop with the silence enveloping us. Had we evaded them? I slowly peeked, and blinked my eyes, noticing the unfamiliar houses surrounding us.
"And, where are we?" I asked, still leaving a hint of anger in my voice.
"My house.." He motioned his hand on a fine house, standing ahead of us.
It wasn't like a 'playboy' mansion, but I could tell it was huge for a regular house. In which, his cars and hundreds of girls could fit in.
Chase Grey's parents owned a business which they named after him, I surmised was under his name, CGrey Corp., if I was not mistaking. And for all I know half of their family wealth was given to him. Logically speaking, since he was their only child.
The guards opened the gates and Chase drove in, but stopped midway. I hadn't got a chance to scan the whole place because I wasn't feeling the right mood to do so.
"It was a pleasure knowing where you live." I intoned, sarcastically and asked, "Can you take me home now?"
"Like I know where you live?" He scoffed, turning the engine off and pulling his keys.
"W... w...wait. What are you doing? You said you'd take me home!-- Chase!" I stammered nervously, while tugging his sleeves as he opens the door to leave.
"I didn't say that. I said I'd give you a ride but I didn't say I'd take you home. There's a difference." He stated, facing me with his smirk, I would feel pleasured to rip off.
"What?! You son of a... Ugh!!" I bawled in bewilderment.
Chase hopped out of the car and walked over to my side, signalling someone before opening the door.
"Relax babe. I'll ask Nicolas to take you home. Just show him the way." He fakely yawned and stretched his arms. How dare he call me that!
"I'm tired." He confessed, flashing a dead eyed like-zombie. Well I'm more tired, asshole!
"Much safer then." I gritted my teeth trying to sound calm, shrugging while crossing my arms.
He glanced at his wrist watch, "Look it's passed two in the morning. I bet you'll be home by four o'clock exact." He said in amusement, still painting his usual smirk.
My jaw dropped after hearing his statement. He's kidding right?
"Sir Chase, you asked to see me?" An old man whom I assumed was Nicolas came forth.
"Oh yeah, take this girl home." Chase said, handing his car key to Nicolas and walked away.
Okay so, I agreed on what Chase said earlier. I mean, I did not arrive home at four exact instead we made it quarter to four which didn't make a huge difference.
While traveling, Nicolas had shared his whole life story to me. He has been the Grey's family driver for thirty three years. And became Chase's personal driver for four years till now.
He also told me he was really careful on driving Chase's cars because one time he accidentally grits the bumper on the other car. He said that, Chase didn't care much but Nicolas felt a bit off. Nicolas also told me sports cars had sensitive controls that made it difficult for him to adjust. Which was why we ended up driving a Volkswagen disguised as a Lamborghini.
I stepped inside my room and exhaled heavily before closing the door behind me. My foot came in contact with my fluffy carpet as the soft wolly coat brushed between my toes, I playfully wiggled them smiling with tiring eyes that won't cooperate.
I sighed, wearily plopping myself on my bed and letting darkness washed over me.
