Hey guys! Here is the next part for all of you all but most of all for  PinkCaker, because she said so and she is Senpai. I must do as Senpai wishes. Btw up there is what I imagine Eli looks like. He may change. Oh well! So...INTO THE STORY!!!

Dante's POV

She was blushing bright red. Why?

It was a while after we had eaten pancakes. Aphmau had permitted Rift some alone time with no protection. My mind was exploding with worries, but that one question was at the top of the list. Why? Why was she blushing? She had to have been blushing. She didn't have a fever. I'm so confused. As I debate to myself Lady Aphmau approaches me.

"Dante. I don't want you to go with Rift. I'm still worried that her leg is still hurt. I noticed she was limping a little not much though. But still. That doesn't change the fact that she deserves a little privacy. Please Dante I beg you. If you go with her it will hurt what little friendship you do have with her. I'll make sure to clear up the mess if it does come to that. Please." Lady Aphmau's eyes shined with worry. She almost looked ready for a no. But I had already made up my mind after she said Rift's name.

"Of course Lady Aphmau. I will respect Rift's and your wishes. Everyone deserves some privacy." I say part of me exploding with worry as to what could happen when she's alone.

"Thank you Dante. I'll inform both Garroth and Laurence. When she returns you will resume your shift." Lady Aphmau says before heading off. I can only pray now.

Irene let her stay safe.

Rift's POV

Finally. Peace and quiet. I can be alone for once. The first thing I do while I'm alone is head to the woods. The Dark Moon is tomorrow so I want to get lost with Eli for a while until it's over. I don't want to hurt Phoenix Drop. All they've done is pay me kindness. As usual my thoughts are interrupted by a twig snapping. I'm pretty far away from Phoenix Drop by now so I could immediately raise my guard. It could be one of Them. I have to be careful. I circle the area only to find a chilly wind blow through my locks of hair. That sly, winged, icy devil. "I know you're there! Show yourself! Eli! Come on this isn't funny!" I call out into the woods. Suddenly a pair of icy bluish-white eyes appears in front of me. "Oh my Twilight! Eli you scared me! I thought you were one of Them!" I say lightly punching his chest.

"Sorry." Eli says with a worried look on his face.

"Woah! You look worried! Since when did you have emotions show like that before." I say jokingly. "Just in case you didn't get that, it was supposed to be a joke." I clarify for him. That's Eli's weakness. Not knowing emotions. That's all he's ever wanted too. Avaland gave him the curse of no emotion. But I didn't let Avaland have what he wanted. I spent so much time with Eli before. There was a time where we could talk just by looking at each other. Then the Preparation began and we were separated for a long time. Ten years I believe. I didn't even see him before the attack happened. That's why I was so shocked he found me. I thought he had forgotten me. A blend of relief and happiness spreads through me. I was glad he didn't forget me though.

"Hmph.That was actually kinda funny. Eli says with the slightest of smiles. I was so happy seeing that smile.

Am I finally getting through to him?

Eli's POV

She's smiling. That smile makes me smile even more. There was a point in time where I would secretly go to watch her during the Preparation. I didn't talk to her though. I thought she might have gotten in trouble if I did. Avaland didn't want me to have friends. He saw that as weakness. It gave me strength though. Even though every time I went to go see her he wasn't smiling. That would make my heart hurt like never before. I came up with an idea to help that smile grow.

"Hey um...do you want to go ice skating?" (A/N- No! We shall not build snowmen here!) I ask nervously. I'm still pretty good but I don't know about her.

"Really?! I. Would. Love. To. It's been so long! I might not be that good though." She says with her face turning red. That smile could make any ice melt.

We head out to a nearby lake. "This will do well." I say before I start to focus. I conjure my signature weapon, my Icicle Staff. "Stand back. Enjoy the show." I say with a smirk. This is one of the few things that can make me happy. Spreading the beauty of ice and snow. I transform to my Dragonskin form. I take flight directly above the lake. I look down on it. I can feel my body growing colder. I collect energy and shoot it down from my Staff. I watch as clouds form and the lake freezes over. It begins to snow and I descend, transforming back to my human disguise. Rift immediately runs to me. "Hey! Be careful! It's been a while so I don't know if it's stable or not!" I call out terrified for her. She stops and carefully starts making her way to me. I quickly take off my shoes. I put razors on the bottom of her shoes so she can skate. She freezes up with fear and I skate over to her with my bare feet. It doesn't bother me. The cold. It's soothing. "Are you okay?" I ask.

"I'm s-scared.....what if I fall?" She asks with a terrified face.

I put my hands on her waists and pull her close to me. She looks up at me for an explanation for my actions. She's so beautiful I can't take it. I give it my all for a reply, even though I never want this moment to end. "Rift....."

"I will not let you fall."
