Hey guys! I hope you enjoyed the last chapter. I know I didn't clarify on Thylis's looks, but in the future I will. For now you're going to be meeting a new character. So......INTO THE STORY!!!!!!!!

Rift's POV

"Garroth how could you let this happen?!" Aphmau asks terrified.

"No disrespect m'lady, but we need to focus on the present, not dwell on the past." Laurence says eager to hear the details.

"Right. Garroth please continue." Aphmau says trying to calm down.

"Thank you m'lady. If "it" threatened me over Rift's location, then Rift is in serious danger. When Rift came to the guard tower, she saw me in that humiliating state, and the culprit was not there. It couldn't have been Rift because I heard her come up the ladder. Which means that either the culprit gave up, which is highly unlikely, or the culprit is still within our walls." Garroth carefully explains. "I personally believe that "it" is still within our walls. Which means either Rift will be found or one of the citizens will be attacked as well."

"That's not good. We need to do something NOW. If this person is in our walls looking for Rift, then we can't let them get what they want." Laurence concludes slamming his fist on the nearby table.

"I agree with you on that last point Laurence. Whoever this person is, is dangerous. We cannot let them get to Rift. So, Rift I apologize for this, but you are now not permitted anywhere without a guard by your side." Aphmau orders.

"WHAT?! I can take care of myself Lady Aphmau!" I yell defensively. No! Then I won't be able to have any of the others hide in my home! I need to get them all here so we can go back together. Back to our home. Not the destroyed part. The part that lives on. Where NO human can step without the Artifacts. I can't let them watch over me 24/7. I just want to go home.

"I am sorry Rift, but it is for your own good. Garroth, Laurence, you two will swap out every twenty-four hours. Understood? Brian, Dante, be on the lookout for anything suspicious. Garroth, Laurence you do the same, but Rift's safety is number one priority. Got it?" Aphmau orders the four guards.

"Yes m'lord!" All them say unanimously.

"Alright I'll take the first shift, Laurence go do your job." Garroth says pushing Laurence towards the door.

"Fine. You can't stop me from spending time with her now Garroth." Laurence says winking at Garroth.

"I-I have n-no idea w-what your t-talking about." Garroth says nervously.

"Ok sure. See ya Rift." Laurence says winking at me this time before he walks out the door.

I blush at his wink. "Y-yeah see you later Laurence." I manage a reply. "Garroth what was Laurence talking about."

"I don't know. H-he's being Laurence I guess." Garroth brushes off the question with.

"Garroth, I'm serious."

"And so am I."

"Garroth! The forest is MOVING! Trees, plants, flowers, you name it! They're MOVING! The guard Brian is stressing in between breaths.

W-what?! Oh wait I know just who it is. What in the name of Twilight is he doing? I mean he really isn't THAT flashy. He's the exact opposite. He's sincere and kind and sweet. He's like another Garroth, only he trusts me and I trust him. If you have a secret and you want to share it with someone. He's the guy to go to. I mean he probably knows most of my secrets.

"What?! Let's go! Show me this so called "moving" forest. Rift come with us." Garroth says while taking my hand once more.

We arrive at the gates of Phoenix Drop and step outside them. Surely enough every thing was moving. We all walk down to the clearing. Well Garroth does and I follow.

"Rift, I don't like this can you wait by the gate inside the wall? I won't be long." Garroth asks politely.

"Alright." I say as I go to wait inside the gate. When I step to lay against the wall of the gate, I hear a twig snap. With my hearing, I know it's close. Next thing I know an arrow fires off towards the mechanism. It hits it straight to where you have to hit it to close with an arrow at least. I only know one person who can fire an arrow that well. All of a sudden a hand is over my mouth, dragging me behind a tree. I can hear the gates open and Garroth run in frantically.

"Shh. Don't move a muscle." The man says before pinning me to a tree.

"Rift! RIFT! WHERE ARE YOU?! Please be playing a prank. Please Irene. Please. Alright Brian CLOSE those gates. I'm going to get Dante to secure the surrounding area. We have to find her. NOW." Garroth orders Brian and they are both off to do their jobs.

Oh Twilight. He's pinned me up against this tree and he's right up against me. I soon see his green eyes lock onto me. Him and his green hair, hood and his brown/green outfit original as ever. His brown boots and gloves complete the look. "I can't believe you're actually here. And why would you do that? Gosh you're as bad as the rest. I can take care of myself you know." I whisper quietly so no one can hear me. "If they see us, act like your the intruder. I know you've been snooping so I know that you know what I'm talking about. Then get out of here before they can hurt you. Please?" I plead hoping my eyes could persuade him.

"Fine, but if they hurt you-" He starts off, but I cut him off.

"If they were going to hurt me, they would've done it by now. Just promise me please?" I plead one last time.

"Alright, only because you asked me. I'm going to watch over you. I don't want you to get hurt."

"Don't worry about me. And thanks. It means a lot to me. I'll see you later,
