♢Chapter 17♢
I just realised that I haven't done a chapter in Yaoyorozu P.O.V for a while, so let's start the chapter that way

Yaoyorozu P.O.V
"You okay Shoto?" I asked him as we walked down the spiral stairs back to ground level. "Yeah, I'm fine, I just have a headache" Shoto told me as he held one of his hands to his head, probably trying to ease the pain and bit.
To be honest, I had a bit of a headache as well. "Yeah, I should have told you guys about the side affects of the spell" Uraraka told us with a chuckle. "You may have a headache for a few minutes and maybe even some aching in your body and maybe even feel a bit sick" Uraraka told us.
"Really? The only feeling I feel right now is the headache and pains in both my arms" Shoto spoke as he moved his right arm a bit, trying to cure the aching feeling. "I only have a headache and feel a little sick, but other then that I'm fine" I told Uraraka.
"That's good. If your not vomiting or feeling great pain, then that means you don't have a mutation quirk" Uraraka told us, catching our attentions. "Mind to explain a bit more?" Shoto asked the girl.
"Well anyone who gets their quirk back and it's a mutant quirk, they get the worst side effects. They'll suffer from vomiting and terrible aching pains in their body. It will only last a day at most, but it would be awful to go through. But for someone who gets a a transformation quirk or an emitter quirk, it isn't as bad" Uraraka told us.
"Wait, so your saying there are three different types of quirks?" I asked, which she nodded to. "Yep. A mutant quirk changes your physical appearance that can't turn of, a transformation quirk can transform your appearance but you can turn it off, and a emitter quirk doesn't change the user's form, but the things around them, like mine. I have an emitter quirk cause I can make things float" Uraraka told us as we got to the bottom of the stairs.
"So your saying that we could have a transformation quirk or an emitter quirk?" Shoto asked Uraraka, which she nodded to. "Well how long does it take to activate?" I asked as we made our way outside of the castle and into a courtyard.
"Well it's different for everyone. It may only take a few minutes for one person, and it may take 4 days for another. For me, it took a few hours and I had no control over it when I first got my quirk" Uraraka told us as she turned to face us.
"Okay, if your quirks do activate, it's best if it's somewhere that has a lot of space in case your quirks are destructive and can cause a lot of damage, or even hurt people" Uraraka began to explain to us. "So,we'll take turns trying to activate your quirks. First, Yaoyorozu. Todoroki, you can wait inside and I'll call you out in half an hour, okay?" Uraraka told Shoto, which he nodded to.
"Alright. Good luck Momo" Shoto told me as he gave me a smile and walked back inside to the castle to wait. I smiled and watched as he walked away. I may have been staring, cause the next thing I knew, Uraraka was snapping her fingers in front of my face.
"Hello? Uraraka to love sick princess, can you hear me?".
I turned to Uraraka. "Eh what? Yeah I hear you. Sorry, guess I was distracted" I chuckled in embarrassment. Uraraka rolled her eye's playfully.
"Alright, first off, let's meditate" Uraraka spoke as she sat down on the ground. "Meditate?" I asked her curiously as I to sat down in front of her. "Yeah. It's what my mom and her teachers befor her did to activate their quirks. My mom explained it as trying to feel you quirk brewing inside you. Figuring out what your quirk is before it activates. Trying to direct all your quirks power to one place" Uraraka explained as best she could.
"Now, I want you to close your eyes and relax" she told me, which I did and continued to listen.
"Now that you are relaxed, try and focus on your quirks power".
"And how exactly do I do that?" I asked.
"Well the way many people describe it is like a volcano of some sort. Your quirk is building up pressure and is ready to activate for the first time. Can you feel that pressure? A power?" Uraraka explained to me.
To be honest, I couldn't really take her seriously at the moment and I held in my laughs. She sounded like a wise teacher, which I couldn't really see her as. She was a hard working girl who loved to have fun.
I decided to try to do as instructed, but I couldn't concentrate. My mind wondered to other things and places. One thing that I thought of most was my father, and how worried I was. Here I am in the safety of the One For All Kingdom, while my father is back home with little defence against King Endeavor.
I wanted to get my mind off these things, and thought of happier times. I thought about me and my mother in the garden's, the nights me and my parents would have, all snuggled up together by the fire while we read out stories to one another.
I thought of the times my mother would go off to far away lands and always bring me back something unique like wonderful chocolate, new clothes or toys.
I remembered the time my mother came home from a far away trip and gave me a gift. "What is it?" I asked my mother when she handed me a small wooden object. "It's a Matryoshka Nesting Doll. Isn't it pretty?" My mother asked me, which I excitedly nodded to.
I remember holding that small nesting doll in my hand and looking down at it. It was a simple shape and had amazing art on it. The nesting doll was created to look like a little blond girl with pretty blue eyes and a green dress and yellow jacket.
I remember running to my bedroom and placing it on my shelf above the fireplace next to my family photo and a jewellery box my mother got me that was made to look like ice that was from the south.
I felt a smile on my face at the memory and a tingling feeling in my hand. I could almost feel like I wast holding that nesting doll again. I could almost feel the smooth wooden texture in my hands.
"OH MY STAR'S! Yaoyorozu how did you do that!" Uraraka screamed, causing me to open my eyes to look at her, her expression was a mixture of both surprise and joy. "W-what?" I asked her, confused what she was talking about.
"How did you do that!?" She asked me as she pointed down at my hands. I was confused and looked down at them, and froze.
The nesting doll my mother gave me years ago, was now held in my hands, right in front of me.
I was beyond shock. How!? What!? Why!?
"Yaoyorozu, how did you do that?" Uraraka asked me again with joy. "I-i don't know!? I was just thinking of it" I told her. Uraraka smiled.
"Well, can you think of something else?".
"Like what?".
"I don't know, anything!".
"O-okay" I replied as I thought of something to think of. The first thing that came to mind was a staff. I don't know why, I just did. I imagined it in front of me and how it would look and the texture. Once again, I felt the same tingling feeling in my hands.
I opened my eyes, and nearly shouted some, let's just say, very strong words.
I saw the staff i imagined, forming and looked like it was coming out of my arm like pulling something out of water. "Oh my stars!" Uraraka exclaimed as she grabbed the handle of the wooden staff and pulled it out. My arm jerked back at the feeling. It felt weird, like someone pulling at your skin.
(I know that is not how her quirk works but bchdwbchewjhfiewlgfre)
"Yaoyorozu, your quirk is amazing!" Uraraka exclaimed with excitement as she studded the staff she held in her hands. "You can create things by just thinking of them, like a creation quirk" Uraraka explained to me as she helped me up from the ground.
"Yeah. I can't believe it was that easy" I replied, still not knowing what to say about this. I found it amazing that I can create something by just thinking of it. It was kind of hard to comprehend to be honest. If I can do something as crazy as that, who knows what kind of quirks people had back hundreds of years ago.
"Well we don't know your full limit of your quirk, so I suggest you practice with it" Uraraka told me. "Also," she spoke. "Can I keep this?" Uraraka asked as she hugged the staff that I created. I chuckled. "Of course, it's the least I can do" I replied as I thought.
"Let's get Shoto and show him" I told Uraraka, who nodded eagerly. "Okay, let's go look for him" Uraraka spoke as we ran into the castle to look for Shoto.
Todoroki P.O.V
After Uraraka told me to leave, I made my way into the castle and wondered around for a bit, looking for something to do while I waited. After a while, I found a small library on the first floor and entered. It wasn't huge at all, but I guess there are a few libraries all over the castle.
I entered the room and began looking around for a book to read, mostly a book called Beyond Space Boundaries. It's a story that is about this human boy and this girl from beyond the stars who run away together in hopes to reach the edge of space and to discover a new dimension together.
As I scanned through the books, I saw a familiar book cover. It was mostly a light pink, but when I pulled it out from the shelf and looked down at the cover, I smiled.
It was a kids book my mother read to me all the time when I was younger. The book was called The Greatest Little Hero. It was a story about this young boy who wished to be a prince, and when the princess was kidnapped by a dragon, the young boy goes across the land to save her.
I decided to sit down and read it, even if it was a kid's book. I walked over to a window seat and down down and opened it. It was mostly pictures with some text at the top, but I enjoyed it, it gave back fawn memories of me and my mother.
I remember my mother would sit down on the ground and I would sit on her lap as she read out the story to me. I remember we would take turns at reading and I would read out the line's of the little prince while she read the rest. We would sometimes even pretend and play as the characters.
I frowned. Although I have many good memories of me and my mother, knowing that I can no longer make new one's with her was saddening. I would never be able to see my mother ever again. I would never be able to talk to her and we would never be able to geek out about new books that we read. I would never be able to go to my mother when I needed to talk to someone.
It felt truly cold knowing she was gone.
I was so in thought and saddened by my own memories that I never even heard or seen two figure's walk into the room. I was only snapped out of my thoughts when I felt someone shake my shoulder.
"Shoto, are you okay!?".
I turned my head to the left, only to see Yaoyorozu looking at me with a worried expression as she held her hand to the right side of my face. However, instead of feeling her warm touch, I felt icy cold.
Confused, I brought my hand up to the left side of my face, only to feel it was normal. However when I moved it to the right side, I felt a hardened cold texture, like ice.
I saw Uraraka walk in behind Yaoyorozu and she looked right passed me at the window. "Wow. You really froze up the place didn't you jack frost" she spoke, confusing me even more. What was she talking about?
I turned my head to the right, but instead of seeing out a clear window, I saw my own reflection staring back at me on clean sharp ice. I stood up from where I sat, only to see the whole window and seat, and even a bit of the ground was covered in clear ice.
"Oh wow, you have an ice quirk! That's amazing!" Uraraka exclaimed with excitement as she studied the ice that was frozen to the window while I stood next to Yaoyorozu. As Uraraka did whatever she was doing, Yaoyorozu turned to me.
"Nice quirk" she spoke to me, catching my attention. "I guess so. Did you activate your one?" I asked her, which she nodded to as she held up a small wooden figure. "I can create thing's by just thinking of them" she told me proudly. I smirk. "Well if your proud of that, try creating a weapon, that would come in useful sometime" I told her.
"Yeah. That sounds like a good idea" Yaoyorozu replied as Uraraka turned to us.
"Okay first off, your quirks are truly impressive! Yaoyorozu with your creation quirk, and Todoroki with his ice quirk! If Endeavor wants to get in a fight with you two, he better think twice!" Uraraka told us, making us chuckle.
She clapped her hands together as she smiled. "Now, let's get down to business, and train"

Okay I'm actually proud of how this chapter came out. I liked how Yaoyorozu activates her quirk by thinking of happy memories, while Todoroki thinks of his mother, since she does have an ice quirk.
I hope you enjoyed, and if you have any ideas what Todoroki and Yaoyorozu could do for training, plz let me know!
