♢Chapter 12♢

Todoroki P.O.V
Me and Yaoyorozu walked down the steps out of her castle and to the carriage, my bag in my hand.
Sadly, today was the day I had to return to my own hell-I mean home.

Even though I was saddened that I had to leave today, I was happy with the week of freedom I had spent with Yaoyorozu. We went to the beach, played in the ocean, went to the One For All coronation, which was the best night of my life.

After we had that moment in the alleyway, we arrived just on time to see the coronation. King All Might was the first to show and talked about the history of the kingdom and about its previous King's and Queen's like the one that came before him, Queen Nana, who died in battle on the battlefield.

He then went on to who he chose and why, explaining how the boy he picked was one of the friendliest, caring and most brave person he had seen in the kingdom for a while. He then introduced the next King, Izuku Midoriya.

Midoriya was around mine and Yaoyorozu's age,  had green curly hair and looked very nervous, which I could understand, being the next King and having to stand in front of thousands of people from different Kingdoms.

After Midoriya had his own little speech, the party began. Yaoyorozu showed me to the castle and we were allowed inside to the royal party. However when the Knights asked who we were and the kingdom we come from, I was a bit hesitate to answer.

I'm the son of King Endeavor, the very man that threatens the One For All Kingdom and says that he will make sure that the kingdom goes up in flames and turns to ashes. I didn't want to be seen like my father, not at all. I hate my father.

Yaoyorozu was the first to speak, saying "I'm princess Momo Yaoyorozu, from the Yaoyorozu Kingdom". The Knights nodded and allowed her by, but then stopped me and asked who I was. I didn't speak for a moment, but replied with "Prince Shoto Todoroki from the Endeavor Kingdom".

Although one knight looked hesitate to allow me in and gave off a disturbed look, the other knight with blue like hair and red rectangle glasses allowed me to pass. I thank he and walked in, where Yaoyorozu was waiting for me.

We then entered the main ballroom where the party was, and just like Yaoyorozu told me, I met a lot of her friends like Uraraka, Kaminari, Jirou, Tusyu and a lot more. When I asked how they got in since most of them aren't royal, Yaoyorozu explained that they were personal invited by Midoriya.

Speaking of Midoriya, we also met him and he looked very excited to meet us. He asked who I was and I told him my name and he gave a smile. "Oh so your from the Endeavor Kingdom, right? To be honest, you look nothing like your father. He scares me if I'm being truthful" Midoriya told me, causing us both to chuckle.

It made me happy that at least the future King of the One For All Kingdom was on my side and had the same opinion on my father, and how he doesn't think I'm like my father.

That night was great, but I was extremely nervouse when King All Might came in and started talking to people. I would be lying if I said I wasn't trying my best to not be noticed by him. Like come on, I am the son of his rivalling enemy. Who knows what he would do if he found out I was here.

Sadly, he did notice me, Yaoyorozu and Midoriya and came over. I knew he knew Yaoyorozu already, and she also looked a bit shy and nervous when he talked to her. It was kind of funny when King All Might asked for a hand shake from Yaoyorozu, which she did. He chuckled and then said, "After all these year's, you aren't to shy to shake my hand".

I knew he was talking about when they first met, the one Yaoyorozu told me about, how she was to shy to shake King All Might's hand when she was younger.
Yaoyorozu just gave a chuckle and replied with a, "Yeah, I'm not that shy anymore".

Then the moment I was dreading for. The moment when King All Might asked who I was. I hesitantly told him who I was, but he didn't seem to phased by it. If anything, he seemed excited about it.

"So your the son of Endeavor are you? I've met your mother and father a few times, and I can say you look more like your mother then your father, which is probably a good thing. You mother is a very kind person. I'm sure when your older and become King, you'll rule far better than your father" King All Might told me, which surprised me. The number one Kingdom's King, was praising me and saying I'll be a good King.

For the rest of the night, the 4 of us just talked and had fun. Soon, me and Yaoyorozu left at around midnight and didn't arrive back to her home until 3 in the morning.
After that night, we also went through the countryside on horseback and we had a whole day where me and Yaoyorozu stayed in the library and talked about books.

I think the second best day of the week was when King Yaoyorozu told us that we could rule his Kingdom for 24 hours all by ourselves while he had to visit another Kingdom to the east. He told us it would give us a taste on what it's like to rule your own Kingdom.

Putting two 16 year old teens in charge of a whole Kingdom may seem like a bad idea, but it was fun. For a whole day, King Yaoyorozu gave me and Yaoyorozu the titles of King Shoto and Queen Momo, and everyone referred to us as those for a day.

I think we did a pretty good job of making choices that day, and me and Yaoyorozu worked together to. I think the most challenging thing that day was when the castle was sent a letter from a far off Kingdom down south, asking for protection from bandits that have been attacking their docks and stealing from them.

After a good 10 minutes of discussing together, me and Yaoyorozu had to decline. Yaoyorozu explained how her Kingdom didn't have the best army and they didn't have many ships, and non of the ships were built for going down south where it was colder and had icy waters.

I then wrote a hand written letter, saying that we couldn't help and explaining why we couldn't, and wrote down other Kingdom's that had better ships and we're closer to help. We then put it in a envelope and sealed it and sent it off.

Basically, I had a great week, but all good things must come to an end.
"And remeber to write me a letter, okay?" Yaoyorozu told me as the carriage door opened. "Yes Momo, I know. I'll write you a letter as often as I can and I'll do my best to see you" I told the girl.

Ever since the night of the coronation, me and Yaoyorozu have been calling each other by our first names. She would call me Shoto and I call her Momo. Momo's father did find it a bit odd that we were on a first name bases all of a sudden, but he never asked any questions.

"Alright. Have a safe trip back" Momo told me as she gave me a goodbye hug, which I returned before hoping into the carriage back to my home, which I wasn't looking forward to.
The only bright side I could see from going back was telling my mother everything.

Before I left home, my mother told me that when I come back, that I should tell her everything that happened, which I was excited to do. Only thing is, I have to wait 3, long, hour's till then.

And that's exactly what happened. I sat there for 3 hours and looked out the window. It was very quiet when Momo wasn't around, talking about who knows what. I took a nap on the way back and when I woke up, we were just outside the castle wall's.

The gate opened and the carriage pulled into the courtyard. I hoped out and thanked the man, who nodded with a smile and wiped the rains of the horses and left. I picked up my bag and made my way inside.

However, when I walked in, it was quiet.

To quiet.

There was no signs of my father or mother, and I couldn't see a servant anywhere. A shiver ran up my spine. Something felt wrong.
Really wrong.
I didn't know what, but something was default wrong, like something was missing.

I placed my bag down and decided to look around the castle. I started with the ground level, looking in the throne room, the kitchen and other rooms. Nothing.

I then made my way to the stairs but stopped, and I slowly turned my head to the small wooden door next to the stairs that lead to the dungeons. A sick feeling came over me.

I had to look down there.

I approached the door and opened it, a creaking sound echoed through the dark stairway the spiralled down to the dungeons. Even from where I stood, I shivered at the small gust of cold that passed me.

Swallowing down my fears, I slowly made my way down the spiral staircase, going deeper underground, my only light source being the dim torches that were mounted on the wall.

The deeper I went, the colder it got. The cobblestone hallways were dark, the dim torches being the only thing to light my way. I looked in at each cell, but they were all empty, the closer to the end I got, the more of a sickening feeling I got.

As I reached the 6th cell and peered inside, my stomach dropped and I felt like I was going to get sick with the sight.

"MOM!"

I pushed the cell door opened with a bang and rushed over to my mother. She was laying on the cold ground, lifeless and covered in blood, which was still warm as I knelt down next to her in the pool of blood, the crimson liquid staining my clothes and hands.

"Mom! Mom!" I repeated over and over as I shook her shoulder, hoping for her to respond. Finally after what felt like a life time, my mother finally moved. She moved her head to look up at me, and smiled.

"S-shoto. Y-your back e-early" my mother spoke, having a hard time speaking. "Mom, who did this to you, what happened!?" I asked, wanting to know what happened to my mother and who would do this to her.

"Y-your father d-did. H-he said something a-about you disobeying a-and how I knew about it, S-so your father said he w-would get rid of m-me" my mother spoke.
I knew it. My father did this. The BASTARD! HOW COULD HE! MY MOTHER HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH ANYTHING!

I guess my mother could see how angry I was, so she decided to speak.
"S-shoto listen. Y-you don't have m-much time. You h-have to leave this place, and f-find somewhere safe" my mother spoke, lifting up her blood soaked shaking hand and bringing it to my hair, running her hands through my white hair and staining it red.

"P-promise me you'll s-stay safe, and y-you'll live your own life, a-and never listen t-to your father" My mother asked me, tears now flowing down her face. I broth my hand up to hers and holding it tightly. "I-i promise, and I'll make sure that Endeavor pays for all the things he has done, to this Kingdom, and to you" I promised my mother.

Her small smile widened. "I'm g-glad to hear, a-and I'm proud of you. I-I'm just upset t-that I...never got to..see...the.....out.....side".

My mother's hand went limp in my own.

I felt my body begin to shake as I lowered my mother's hand down over her stab wound on her stomach. It was only then when my eye's began to sting and feel wet that I realise that I was crying. My mother, had just died, right in front of me, and we killed by the very man I hated to call my father.

I knew I had to leave, for my father could be here at any moment to probably do the same to me. I got up onto my shaking legs and left the cell, then dashing it down the hallway and up the stairs. I ran up the stairs quickly and finally got out of the dungeons, slamming the wooden door behind me.

I took a moment to catch my breath before I made a dash up to my room. I had to get out of here. I had to leave before my father catches me.

I got to the bedroom level and ran down the hallway and to my room, shutting the door behind me and locking it.

I then frantically ran around my room, grabbing anything I could and anything I needed. I grabbed some extra clothes, a brown cloak, my favourite book that me and my mother loved to read together and a few other things like my sword that I kept under my bed.

I put on the cloak and threw my bag over my shoulder. I ran to my door, when I heard heavy footsteps coming this way.
It was my father.
What should I do?
I had no where to hide and no where to go!?

I then looked over to my windows and outside was the balcony.
A idea popped into my head as I ran over and climbed over the ledge of the balcony, hanging from it as I held onto the bottom of it.

I then heard the door to my room open. I guess I didn't lock it properly. I held my breath, thinking if I took another breath in, Endeavor would hear it and know where I am.
I listened carefully as I heard my father walking around my room, probably looking for me.

Everything was so quiet, and so tense. I could hear my own heartbeat that was beating quickly and loudly. I was surprised my father couldn't hear it.
He shuffled around the room for a few more monuments, before making his way to the door and slamming it as he left.

I let out a breath as I pulled myself back up and onto the balcony. That was to close. Now, I had to leave. I debated that the best way was to get a horse from the stables and leave, which was the best idea.

I quietly left my room and looked around. I was to scared to go down the hallway and through the castle, cause I knew my father would be looking for me.

I looked around and then thought of something. In my parent's room, there was a dumbwaiter that goes all the way down into the kitchen, which leads right outside to the stables. (Literally, took me 10 minutes to find out what the dumbwaiter was called).

With that, I ran down the hallway quietly and entered my parent's room. It was large and quiet clean and was quiet plain. I looked over to the dumbwaiter and walked over to it, opening it and climbing inside. Still glade I can fit into this.

I then closed the hatch of it and started pulling the rope, bringing the small lift down.
I went down slowly, not wanting to make any noise in case my father was nearby. After 5 minute's, I made it to the kitchen.

I hopped out and kept low to the ground as I made my way to the back door of the kitchen, which was pretty much right next to the stables. I once again opened the door quietly and jogged to the stables. I looked inside and to my joy, my horse was already saddled up and ready to go.

I rushed over to her and got on, wiping the reins and the horse took off. I quickly got to the gate and luckily it was still opened. My horse ran out and we took a sharp right, down a pathway that I already knew.

I let out a shaky breath. I was fine. I wasn't caught. I'm fine.
Then, my thoughts went back to my mother. In that moment, for some odd reason, a million memories of me and her together flashes through my mind, and then the moment where she died in my arms.

It seemed the full reality hit me in that moment and I just began to cry, which quickly turned into sobbing.
My mother, the only one who cared about me and kept me safe in my home which was my personal prison, was now dead, killed, murdered, slaughtered by the man who was my father.

I didn't know what to do, or where I should go. I didn't know anywhere to go except for Yaoyorozu's Kingdom and the One For All Kingdom. I then thought to go to Yaoyorozu's Kingdom. They were the closets and it was already near 9 o'clock at night. So they are my best bet.

With that thought, I whipped the reins another time and my horse began racing quickly. I pray that my father hasn't realised that I have came and left.

I AM BACK!
It is currently 02:32 right now but idgaf and wrote this.
I want a little help for a future chapter, and trying to implement quirks into this, like I want Todoroki to use his ice and fire and Yaoyorozu to use her creation quirk. If you have any ideas, please tell me. ^^
