♢Chapter 10♢
Yaoyorozu P.O.V
This is it!
The coronation night!
To be honest, I was quiet excited. I knew the King of the One For All Kingdom, even though I only meet him only a few times when I was younger, but what I can remember about him was he was very funny.
I also knew who the future King was going to be, cause he's a good friend of mine, Izuku Midoriya. He's a very...interesting guy, to say the least. He's very talkative when he talks about something he's really interested in, he likes to write down thing's and information and he's just a really helpful, nice guy.
I remember when he told me that he was going to be the next King of the One For All Kingdom. He was over the moon with it and couldn't stop talking about how excited and nervous he was about it. I remember me, him and another friend, Uraraka, who is a witch, or more like sorceress, were all there and celebrated.
I was currently in my bedroom, getting ready. I was just styling my hair, which was down right now, when I heard a knock on my door. "Come in" I called out. I then heard the door open behind me and close.
"Aww my baby girl".
I turned around to see my father was the one speaking, looking like he was on the verge of tears of happiness. "You look so mature now, and it reminds me that you aren't the little girl you were years ago" he told me as he made his way over towards me.
I just laughed. "Dad, you sound like your about to walk me down the aisle" I told him with a chuckle at the end, causing him to chuckle along. "Well I might as well walk you down the aisle. Your going to a coronation on a date with a boy" my dad joked.
"Dad!" I spoke loudly, kind of embarrassed that he even mentioned the word 'date' and 'boyfriend'. "What?" My dad asked, holding in a laugh, already knowing what I was annoyed about.
"Me and Todoroki aren't going on a date. We aren't in any sort of relationship beyond friendship. Plus, he probably doesn't see me any more then a friend" I told my father.
He bust out laughing.
I just stood there and watched as he laughed loudly, nearly falling on to his knees as he laughed. I was surprised no one came in the room to see what was going on. After a while of his laughing fit, my father stood up straight, still suppressing his laughter.
"Momo, no boy looks at a girl like that" my father spoke as he sat down in a chair near the window, and looked at me.
"Boys wouldn't listen to a girl talk for hour's with no end if he didn't care about her and her thoughts. A boy doesn't look at a girl the way Todoroki looks to you unless they had feelings for that girl" my father spoke as he let out a chuckle.
"That's what it was like between me and your mother" My father said. "We met at a Ball at her Kingdom. I was a nervous 17 year old who stayed away from the crowed and liked being alone a lot. I was just outside sitting on the back steps, eating some food, when I felt someone tap my shoulder. When I turned around, I saw this beautiful girl there. She had amazing long black hair, and eye's as blue as crystals" my father explained, and I saw him smile at the memory.
"I remember her asking if she could join me and I told her yes. We sat down, ate, talked, joked, laughed and had fun together. She was lovely. She told me about stories she read and trips her and her family went on, and I talked about stories about stupid things me and my brother's did, which made us laugh. After that night, we wrote to each other everyday. Then, when we were 23, I proposed to her and we got married. It was one of the happiest days of my life" my father told me joyfully as he looked to the ground.
"Then we had you and we were overjoyed. From the very start, we didn't want to be one of those overprotective parent's and we let you have as much freedom as we could give you. Although we were busy, we always made the time for you, especially your mother. But then, she became very ill and passed". I watched as my father frowned.
"I remember. You cried in your room for a week after Mom died, and I tried to cheer you up by saying it would be okay" I told my father, doing my best to comfort him a bit. He chuckled as he sat up straight again. "Yeah, and that was all I needed and I went back to ruling" my father spoke as he stood up from the chair.
"Well, you should be getting ready, you and Todoroki are leaving in 20 minutes" my father told me as he stood up and made his way to the door. Before he left, I spoke.
"Dad"
"Yes?" He replied, turning to face me.
"H-how do you know if you really like someone. Like, like like someone?" I asked. My father gave me a confused glance. "You mean love?" He asked, which I nodded to. He smiled.
"Love is different for everyone Momo. Some people have their own ways of showing it and expressing their love to someone. However, most people feel the same about love" my father replied.
"When you love someone, you become flustered and nervous around them. Your cheeks feel warm from a blush and you feel happy around the person you love. Sometimes, you get so nervous, you can almost feel like there are butterflies in your stomach from it. When you shorten it down, basically you want to stay by that person's side for the rest of your life and would die for them" my father explained to me as he left, closing the door behind him.
I sat there, taking in my father's word's. When I think about it, I do have all that stuff when I'm around Todoroki. I get a bit nervous and try not to embarrass myself in front of him. I feel warmer around him and I feel my cheeks heat up when he complements me about anything and I just always want to make sure that he's happy and have a good time, and it made me feel great when he was happy.................................
"I'm in love with Todoroki" I mumbled to myself, finally coming to terms with how I felt towards the Prince.
"I-I'm in love with Todoroki" I told myself once again, a bit louder, taken aback by my own words. "Oh my Lord, I love Todoroki!" I blurted out as I got up and grabbed a pillow from my bed and muffled my screams with it.
After a moment, I pulled my face out of if. "Oh lord what is wrong with me!? I can't love him! He probably doesn't even like me!" I told myself as I just walked around my room, trying to comprehend this revaluation.
Todoroki P.O.V
I would be lying if I said I wasn't excited for tonight to be honest. Here I was, getting ready to go to probably the biggest coronation of the year with an amazing girl late at night and probably get to meet new people.
Currently, I was just slipping on the black boots I was given by King Yaoyorozu, who also got me a custom made suit for tonight, since I never brought one with me, for I never thought I would need it. He told me it was a 'thank you' gift from him for being a great guest and a good friend to Yaoyorozu.
Once I finished putting on my boots, I heard a knock on my door. "Come in" I spoke, and the door opened to reveal King Yaoyorozu. "Hello your majesty" I spoke, earning a chuckle from the king. "Please, just call me Mr Yaoyorozu. No need for that formal greeting here" he reassured me, which I nodded to in response.
"I just have a few things to say to you before you and Momo leave tonight" Mr Yaoyorozu told me in a more serious tone, which again, I nodded to. "First, keep your guard up. There can be many strange people at the coronation there tonight, such as perverts and kidnappers. Secondly, keep Momo safe, she is the only family I have left in my life and I don't want to lose her to some human trafficker. Thirdly, just be careful and stay safe" Mr Yaoyorozu told me sternly.
I was kind of disturbed by the things he told me to look out for like perverts, kidnappers, human traffickers and things like that. It made me have second thoughts about going tonight, but I know Yaoyorozu was excited about tonight, and I couldn't disappoint her by not going now.
"Don't worry, I'll make sure she is safe throughout the night" I reassured the king. He let out a sigh of relief at my statement. "Thank you very much, you are truly a good gentleman" King Yaoyorozu told me as he turned to leave.
"Be down my the carriage in 15 minutes. You'll be leaving then" the king told me as he left my room, closing the door quietly behind him as he left. I just stood there in the middle of the room, not knowing what to do. Should I start making my way down now? Or should I wait a few more minutes?
I decided to go for the first option as I walked out the door and down the hallway. If I went with the second option, what would I even do during that time of waiting? Just stand there for 10 minutes?
I walked down the main stairs and got to the bottom. Before I was hallway down the stairs, I heard someone call my name.
"Hey! Todoroki! Wait up".
I turned around and looked up the stairs to see Yaoyorozu at the top, making her way down the steps.
I noticed that she looked, well beautiful was the only word to describe her in that moment. She was wearing a simple but amazing red dress, and her usually straight black hair was now a bit wavy.
"Did I keep you waiting?" Yaoyorozu asked me as she was only three steps behind me. "No not at all. You might want to slow down before you fall and hurt yourself" I told her, as she came to a stop and nearly falling over her own feet, causing me to hold out my hand for her to take, which she did.
"Hehe sorry about that, I guess I'm way to excited" Yaoyorozu chuckled, clearly embarrassed as she scratched behind her neck nervously. "Nothing to apologise for" I reassured her with a small smile, knowing that made her feel slightly feel less embarrassed.
Yaoyorozu smiled back as we continued down the stairway and to the front door's, finaly leading us outside. It was only 5 o'clock, so it wasn't very dark, but by the time we get to the One For All Kingdom, it will be around 8 o'clock.
"Alright you two" a voice spoke out, which I already knew belong to King Yaoyorozu as me and Yaoyorozu spun around to see the king at the front entrance. "You two stay safe and have fun" was all King Yaoyorozu told us before leaving once again.
"We will" Yaoyorozu shouted back to him as we walked over to the carriage. I let go of Yaoyorozu's hand and opened the carriage door. "Ladies first" I spoke with a small bow, causing Yaoyorozu to chuckle. "Thank you very much kind sir" Yaoyorozu replied as she took bowed and climbed into the carriage, be following in behind.
We sat down next to each in the small carriage, the door closing and the carriage began to move. As I looked out the window, only one thought was in my mind. This was going to be a long 3 hours.

I'm sorry updates are slow and crappy lately, but blame school and exams for bringing my stress levels through the roof.
