Chapter Twelve

Third Person's POV

Jimin jolted awake when he hears a loud sound of his alarm. Jimin furrowed his brows and places his hand on his temple as he felt his head aching. Jimin just lay there for a moment before pushing himself up. He crack his neck and opened his eyes and then he looks around the room before he lazily climb off the bed.

Jimin walk towards the bathroom and took a bath. He has a class today and Jimin doesn't want to be late in his first class. After a short bath, he changes his clothes. Jimin grabs his bag before he walked up outside.

The younger male was waiting for a bus to stop when suddenly a motorbike stops in front of him, Jimin took a step backwards face confuse. Taehyung took off his helmet and shakes his hair, sweeping it back and offers the other male a boxy smile. Taehyung winked at Jimin before shoving his spare helmet to the smaller male. Jimin was caught off guard, brows pulled together.

"Hop on, babe." He said coolly but Jimin remained silent and just stood there holding the helmet. Taehyung rolled his eyes, he's kind of frustrated because he don't have any effect to Jimin. He even dress up extra nice today and uses his motorbike to look cooler and manlier. Taehyung is used to getting an attention from both girls and boys but it was different when it comes to Jimin.

And because Jimin was different, Taehyung wants to be Jimin's friend or bestfriend if that's even possible.

"What are you doing?" Jimin asks confused. Taehyung gave him a pointed look.

"Um, giving you a free ride?" Taehyung says sarcastically, Jimin reject his offer by muttering a soft, "No, thanks." Taehyung scoffed looking at Jimin intently before wetting his lips seductively.

"Do you want me drag you out of here?" He asked using a serious tone. Jimin shook his head no. Taehyung grinned and motioned Jimin to get on his motorbike. The younger male wears the helmet before he hopped on Taehyung's motorbike.

"Hold on to me tight." Taehyung says, Jimin's face scrunched up and hit Taehyung's back with his clenched fist.

"Ouch!" Taehyung winces, "Geez, I'm just kidding. But if want to, it's okay don't be shy-" Taehyung curses under his breath when Jimin smack his head, Jimin laughs softly when Taehyung winces in pain in an exaggerated way.

"Oh, kinky." Taehyung mutters, Jimin tilt his head confused.

"What's kinky?" Jimin asked innocently and Taehyung burst out laughing, "Fuck, you're too innocent! Now I feel bad!" He says in between his laugh. Jimin chuckles softly assuming that the word kinky was a funny word.

"You say the word kinky if someone hurt you, physically." Jimin hummed in response nodding his head before muttering the word kinky.

"Even if they hit you lightly?" He suddenly asked the taller male.

"Of course, everyone uses that word, it's a common word you know." Jimin's mouth form an 'o' shape before nodding his head in understanding. He's taking Taehyung's words seriously even though the latter was only joking around.

Taehyung drive off and Jimin closes his eyes slowly, feeling the warm air hitting his face. It was refreshing and he likes it, Jimin extend his both arms and smiles. Taehyung glances at the mirror, a small smile appears in his lips before looking back at the road.

When the two arrived at School, Jimin gave Taehyung the helmet before bowing his head and muttered a soft thank you before walking away.

"Jimin, wait!"

The younger stop in his track and turned his head to look at him, Taehyung smiles at him cheekily.

"I can be your bestfriend," He trailed off which made the latter smiled softly, "...or boyfriend if you want me to." Jimin just shook his head smile evident in his lips as he turned on his heels.

Jimin entered his classroom and smiled sincerely when he spotted Sungwoon. The latter waves at him and gestures him to sit with him and Jimin agreed. Jimin sat down beside him silently.

"Are you okay?" Sungwoon asks Jimin and the younger male only smiles at him and not answering his question, Jimin glances away and diverted his attention outside the window and the smile on his face fell down.

"I ended our relationship and moved here to Seoul. Do you know why did I do it? Because I couldn't stand to be with you anymore..."

"Because right from the start, I didn't love you."

Jimin wonders why did he end up having a relationship with a man who obviously didn't want him. Maybe he was blinded by his love for him and ignores the whole situation where he was in.

"Hey, Jimin." Sungwoon called his name, Jimin glances at him and smiled half-heartedly, Sungwoon is looking at him with worried expression.

"You look tired." He pointed out, Jimin's expression fell down. He glances away and muttered, 'nothing', Sungwoon wants to ask him what's wrong but it looks like Jimin doesn't want to talk about it.

Jimin ignored Sungwoon throughout the whole class. He only talk to him when he bid him a goodbye after their class ended. The younger male walked outside their classroom absent-minded.

"Jimin!" Hoseok called out running towards the younger's direction, Jimin frowned as the latter approach him. He's getting attention recently from Jungkook's friends and he doesn't know why.

"We're having lunch, come on join us." Jimin smiled at him and shook his head guiltily, Hoseok pouted.

"Oh, come on." Jimin gave him a small smile, Hoseok grinned at him before grabbing his wrist and drag him, Jimin tried to get away from his hold but the latter only tightened his grip. Hoseok opened the car door and motioned Jimin to get inside.

Jimin glances up at him expression unreadable, Hoseok met his gaze then he motion Jimin to get inside again.

"Jungkook is going to be there right?" He asked tone soft, Hoseok didn't answer his question. The younger male shook his head, no.

"I don't want to see him." He almost whispered then Hoseok drop his hand.

"I lied..." Jimin arched his brow looking at him confusedly, "We are not having lunch with my friends. It's just the two of us because I wanted to talk with you." Hoseok admitted. Jimin frowned at him.

"Thank you for agreeing to have lunch with me, I just want to know you more. That's all." Hoseok admits offering Jimin a genuine smile, Jimin lowered his gaze, faint smile in his lips.

"But there's no interesting fact about me." Jimin says voice soft and laced with sadness. Hoseok shook his head no, There is... Yoongi wouldn't like you if there is none. I want to know you better so that I would know the things you have that I don't. He thought bitterly eyes glued on the smaller male.

"Do you by any chance heard about the train crash in Busan two years ago?" Jimin asked him as he look up meeting the latter's gaze, Hoseok tilt his head and tried to remember about it and when he did he nodded his head.

"I was in that train, I was one of the survivor from that incident." Hoseok's eyes widened in shock, "The first memory I have was in the Hospital where I wake up without remembering anything." Jimin paused for a moment remembering what happened when he woke up that day.

"Chanyeol..." Jimin trailed off tone hurt, "Was the first person, I've seen as soon as I opened my eyes. He's my brother and the only family I have." Jimin continued.

"Chanyeol never told me about the incident but I found out later. Chanyeol never open up anything from my past, I guess he doesn't want me to remember anything from it."

"I was new to everything and it was hard to adjust at first but thankfully my brother was always there for me." Jimin said bitterly expression painted with hurt and sadness. Hoseok furrowed his brows in confusion.

"Where is he now?" He asked, "I don't know." Jimin mumbled.

"Why?"

"I don't want to talk about it."

"Oh, okay."

"So... Jungkook..." Hoseok blurted out, Jimin could feel his heartbeat racing. He averted his gaze from the latter he's obviously uncomfortable with the conversation.

"I heard, you two had a past relationship."

"Yeah but I don't remember anything about it." Jimin says smiling not reaching his eyes.

"I'm sorry if I ask too much questions, I hope I didn't annoy you." Hoseok carefully said, Jimin hung his head low eyes staring down at his drinks.

"No it's okay," Jimin lied to him he was actually getting annoyed by him, "It was in the past anyway and I don't mind, it's not like I remember him or anything. He's just someone that happened to be part of my past and he's just nothing to me now." He lied again.

"Are you sure? Because from what I see right now, it wasn't just nothing." Jimin arched his brow and looked up at Hoseok not amused he doesn't like the tone he was using to him.

"I'm just joking." Hoseok says laughing nervously when he notice the look Jimin is giving him.

***

Jimin had refused when Hoseok offers him to give him a ride back to the School and ride a Taxi instead.

He's now standing at the School's rooftop. He took the necklace from under his shirt and lifted it up high over his face so he could stare at the ring on it. Jimin wakes up with the ring on his finger, Chanyeol asked him to throw it away but Jimin never did and hides it from his brother. He keeps his necklace hidden under his shirt, so that his hyung and other people wouldn't see it.

The ring has some initials engraved on the inside,

KM...

Jimin smiled faintly,

Kook and Min... It was the meaning of the letters, Jimin thought it was just nothing until now.

Jimin pulled out his phone and when he check the time and when he realizes he's almost late in his class, he hides his necklace under his shirt and rushes down the stairs...

He was running in the hallway when he suddenly stops and freezes in his place heart pounding when he spotted him walking towards his direction. Jimin is looking up at him with wide eyes when their eyes met. Jungkook was the first one who look away expression unbothered as he walk past Jimin.

Jimin bit his lower lip, a piercing pain stabbed his heart before he walked up as well, Jimin swallowed the lump in his throat and stop in his track. He slowly turn his head to look over him, watching him silently with sad eyes.

Jungkook and I...

Have different lives now and whatever happened in the past stays in the past...

It happened two years ago, I had lived without the thought of it, I had lived without knowing him.

From now on, I promise myself to not think about our past again and pretend it never happened.

Even if... the old wound in my heart wasn't healed yet...

Jimin thought silently before averting his gaze.
