Branch and Poppy are back at the castle. Poppy is in the medical office where the private doctor works. There wasn't always a private doctor in the Royal castle but, Rosiepuff had decided to change that after Branch's mother had given birth to her in the castle. Her mother couldn't make it in time to the nearest hospital so the doctor had come in a hurry using vampire speed to deliver Branch. Rosiepuff was given the idea by his son by accident. He had made joke about how having private doctor in the castle for emergencies like Branch's birth would be a good idea.

The doctor's office is large room which was once a bedroom. The walls and ceiling is white with a light brown wood floor. The room is lit up by the candles on wall. There is a few hospital beds in the back of the room, the best equipment,a long counter cabbinet with a marvel counter top,some chairs against the one wall, a book shelf of medical books and some calming decore elements. The basic equipment in the room is the same equipment used in the Vampdom hospitals.

Poppy sitting on top of one of the beds as the doctor treats his arm. He is still in the clothes which were soaked in water but, they had mostly dried on their own and still feel kind of heavy. The doctor is an male vampire and he is wearing a doctor's coat. He properly puts a long enough an dark brown bandaid over his cut. Luckily for Poppy he didn't get infection from the water or from the rocks. The lake water may be clean but, the rocks could had some germs.

" You should be fine since you didn't get an infection. ",The doctor says blankly.

Meanwhile Branch is in her bedroom. She had cleaned herself up and dried herself off. Branch is now wearing a clean and dry teal dress. She is busy tying her hair into a tall ponytail with a black band as she standing in front of her vanity mirror. Then just when she is done she hears a knock on her bedroom door. The Queen turns around as she hears her grandfather's voice.

" Are you decent, Princess?",Rosiepuff asks.

" Yes, Grandpa. You can come in.",Branch says honestly.

The grandfather opens the door and enters the bedroom. He smiles at her softly and glad to see her out of her soaked dress. He honestly prefers her not wearing clothes that stick to her body. If it was someone else Rosiepuff would mind his own business but, Branch being his granddaughter is a different story.

" Is Poppy okay?",Branch asks simply.

" The young lad is fine. The doctor is just giving him a quick checkup. ", Rosiepuff says honestly.

Branch is happy to hear that Poppy is fine. She was worried about him. Rosiepuff could tell that Branch was very concerned about Poppy. She doesn't just take anyone she meets straight here just for a cut or checkup or simple treatment more than once. It is rare for Branch just to bring a random person here like that once but, since Branch brought Poppy here it means they are more than just two vampires who know each other.

" That's good. By the way I told Poppy that he can stay here tonight and join us for dinner and he agreed to the idea. ",Branch says honestly.

Branch couldn't just let Poppy walk all of the way to shelter by himself later so she offered him to stay here for the one time.  She really didn't want to see him leave after the he almost drowned earlier. The event gave her a heart attack since she didn't want to lose him. Rosiepuff is surprised at first when he heard her say she invited Poppy to stay here tonight. Sure sometimes Branch's friends did stay over cause she invited them but, that was rare for her too. It clear that Branch really and truly cares for Poppy to the grandparent.

" Oh... Well, that's lovely. I'll tell the chef and get him some clean and dry clothes for you. ",Rosiepuff says honestly.

" Thanks Grandpa.",Branch says softly.

" No problem, Princess. ", Rosiepuff replies happily.

A little later Poppy is with Branch. They are walking through one of the halls together slowly. Poppy smiles at Branch softly. He is happy that she was the one to find him and save him. Having her around makes him feel safe.

" So what's it like living in this castle?", Poppy asks curious.

" Well... You have people to take care of you and help you when you need it. There are so many rooms that it can be hard to keep track of and you can have lots privacy. My grandpa is the one who makes it more of a home than a castle... ", Branch says honestly.

Living in a big castle can be lonely sometimes but, Rosiepuff truly made it Branch's home. He always said that family is important and that you can't turn your back on family. Poppy becomes more curious.

" You know you are most independent woman I know but, you have servants. How did you become so independent?",Poppy asks curious.

" My grandpa had made time for me learn to be more independent when I was growing because, he wanted to ensure that if anything were to happen I would be able to take care of myself. ",Branch says honestly.

Now Poppy knew the answer to that question but, there is still something else he wants to know. He wonders why was Branch out of the forest this night out of all nights and why did she come to the lake? If she hadn't then he would had probably drowned but, something told Poppy that it wasn't just by luck that Branch was there.

" So why were you out in forest and at the lake?",Poppy asks curious.

Branch becomes a little quiet. That lake is her favourite place in the forest. She had decided to visit it again. It had been a while since she last visited the area and she just wanted to be sit underneath the tree enjoying the peaceful calm.

" Not important. ",Branch lies while trying to be secretive

Poppy immediately catches on that Branch has a secret. Now he is even more curious and wants to know what is so special about the lake. A mischievous twinkle appears in his eyes making Branch realize that Poppy is thinking something. They both stop walking and continue to look at each other.

" It's a secret. Isn't it?",Poppy says playfully curious.

Branch accidentally gives herself away by saying " Hm...". The pink vampire smirks at her. He is right. Branch is keeping a secret. Now Poppy really wants to know.

" You can trust me with your secret. I do own you one after all...", Poppy says honestly and hopeful.

" But, keeping a small secret isn't the same. ", Branch says confused.

Then Poppy gives her a playful look. The Queen is a little amused by it. Poppy honestly and truly isn't going to tell Branch's secret to anyone if she tells him. After what Branch did for him he is in debt to her. He will do anything for her like how she was willing for him. In that moment Branch actually decides to tell her small secret to Poppy. The Queen gives him a little playful look back.

" Fine. You better keep those lips sealed then...",Branch says playfully.

Poppy playfully responds by nodding his head then zips his lips with an imaginary zipper. Branch giggles softly finding it silly. Poppy's heart warms up by her soft giggle. He finds it cute.

" That lake is secretly where I go usually when I leave Vampdom for a short a while. Despite it being the place you almost drowned it, it's my favorite place in the forest. I go there when I need to think or be alone or just relax sometimes. It's like it's my own hideaway. Not even my grandpa knows that I go there... That's my small secret... ",Branch says honestly and softly.

Now Poppy feels like he is special. Only he knows about Branch's hideaway. He smiles at her happily as he takes hold of her her right hand. Branch is surprised by the action and blushes a little faintly.

" Now it's our small secret...",Poppy says softly, happily and reassuringly.
