Branch and Poppy are now on the stage with the spotlight shining on them. They hold the microphones in their hands. Branch's purple dress seem brighter as does Poppy's normal clothes. They are both looking at each other as the music begins to play.

They had already read the lyrics of the song Lee suggested so they know what to sing. Poppy smiles at Branch making her feel more comfortable with this. Branch usually just sings at home and sometimes in front of her friends and grandfather but, not like this before. Poppy brings the microphone to his lips then starts singing.

" I know a girl
Who likes to drink her coffee black
'Cause sugar, no, she don't got time for that
Leaves her desires at the welcome mat
When she walks in...",Poppy sings softly.

The opening of the song reminds Poppy of Branch. She likes drinking her coffee,She works so hard to take care of and run her kingdom. Sometimes she would get so busy. After being around Branch for a long time he noticed how she would be putting Vampdom and the other vampires first rather than herself most of the time but, didn't go showing it off caring about making herself look good. She is truly selfless and caring.

Branch is in awe by amazing Poppy is at singing as he sung the opeming verse! It is written on her face. She had never heard him sing before. He sounds better than she thought he would be. Then Branch brings her microphone up to her face and starts singing the next verse.

"And I know a boy
Who likes to keep his burner on
He's always running with no one to keep warm
It's like he's flirting with the smoke alarm
His fire's fading...",Branch sings.

This verse reminds Branch of Poppy. Since he was turned he had adapte to being with being a vampire. Their cultures weren't the same. Poppy didn't have a lot of people to hug and sometimes he would have his down moments. She felt sorry for him.

Poppy is in awe by how beautiful Branch's singing voice is as she sings! She has a voice so beautiful that she sounds like an Angel. She sounds better than he imagined. The turned vampire smiles softly in awe at her as Branch sings the last lyric.

" But still we laugh, we cry
We fall, we get high
Just like we were kids, just like we were kids
And when I'm feeling small you get me through it all
Just like we were kids, just like we were kids again...",Poppy and Branch sing together.

Branch and Poppy keep their eyes become locked. Their voices harmonize beautifully. They feel the connection they felt before spark more as they sing. The Vamp Squad can see the chemistry reveal itself slowly. Lee, Josjos, Glimmer, Dawn, Cheryl, On, Angelina, Molly and Sophie are sitting at the bar while watch in awe by how Branch and Poppy's singing quietly. Then the music picks up and becomes more upbeat.

" I know a girl
Who's never tried to settle down
She wears her loneliness just like a crown
But when she smiles all the kings will bow down, down, down...",Poppy sings happily almost like he is serenading Branch.

Poppy knew about Branch's dating life. She never settled down with any of her suitors yet but, she still stood tall and strong with independence. To Poppy her independence made her stronger and a better queen. He likes that about her. And Branch's smile is most beautiful, real and subtle Poppy ever seen in his life.

Branch blushes as Poppy sung. Poppy has loving and genuine twenkle in his eyes. Their singing had changed and is now like they are singing to each other. More sparks are flying and their chemistry is on show. Branch and Poppy had completely forgetten about the world around them.

" And I know a boy
Who's broken every vow he's made
Who's spoken every cowards phrase
But he can listen like a rainy night
And drown it out...", Branch sings to Poppy happily.

Poppy is no coward to Branch and as far as she knows he never broke a vow he made but, he is so comforting and can make her feel like the world isn't there sometimes. Branch likes that about him. He is the most caring guy she ever met. Poppy smiles at Branch as she sung the last two lyrics feeling warn inside of his heart. The music begins to slow down in pace. Branch and Poppy continue to gaze lost in their eyes.

Just like we were kids
Just like we were kids
Just like we were kids...",Branch and Poppy sing together happily.

Branch and Poppy enjoy their duet more as they sing. It clearly written on their faces with their sparkles continuing to fly. The music and each other is the only things the two singing vampires care about. Nothing could ruin this moment. Then the music begins to slow down in pace.

Just like we were kids...",Branch sings lovingly and softly.

" And when I'm feeling small you get me through it all

Just like we were kids...",Poppy sings softly and lovingly.

Everyone in the restaurant is quiet as they watch in awe. The Vamp Squad especially are absorbed in Branch and Poppy's chemistry. To Branch's closest friends Branch and Poppy looks like they are in love with a special bond which is true but, they are not ready to admit yet. Then music gets louder and upbeat again so Branch and Poppy take the moment by it's horns together.

"But still we laugh,

And when I'm feeling small you get me through it all
Just like we were kids, just like we were kids again...",Poppy and Branch sing together louder.

Branch and Poppy's voices is heard even by those passing by the restaurant. More vampires come into Midnight Delights to see who is singing so amazingly. The restaurant is now packed with everyone listening to duet. Branch and Poppy are too lost  in their own world to notice how their audience got bigger and more attentive to their singing.

Just like we were kids again...",Branch and Poppy sing together loudly.

Branch and Poppy's gaze towards each other seems more alive. The vampires making the music add more energy to the song. Cheryl smiles at how amazing her ship is and their chemistry is so obvious. The rest of the Vamp Squad is becoming more sold to Branch and Poppy's relationship as they smile like Cheryl.

Then the spotlight dim a little still staying on Branch and Poppy and the music becomes softer and slower. The moment feels more perfect and wonderful to Branch and Poppy. They smile at each other softly and lovingly.

" Just like we were kids
Just like we were kids again

Just like we were kids
Just like we were kids
Just like we were kids again...",Branch and Poppy sing softly ending the song.

As the two vampires sing the last few lyrics their gaze becomes softer and more loving. Their eyes seem sparkle as they still hadn't noticed the world around them. When they end the song they smile at each other lovingly,subtly and softly for a second. Then just as they unknowingly lean forward by an inch for a kiss the crowd immediately starts cheering loudly and clapping for their duet!

It gives both Branch and Poppy a quick scare as they snap out of their daze! They turn their heads to see a larger crowd than before giving them a standing ovation. They are dumbfounded by how much vampires there are but, recover from their shock within a minute while taking everything in. Branch smiles shyly and subtly at the crowd as a big and comfortable smile appears on Poppy's face.
