A week has passed in Vampdom. Poppy hasn't seen Branch in the last four nights. Queen work has been keeping her busy. Poppy was a little disappointed when Branch refused to teach him some of her cool combat moves but, he did focus on his training like she said to.

He did also get a little worried when he found out that someone in the village almost found about his mission but, his mom ensured him that everything is okay. But, that's not everything that is happening in his life right now... Poppy has started to feel home sick lately after one night after his big nightmare. In fact very home sick!

He misses his the village,the Strings,his friends and most importantly his closest friends and his mother. He misses the Hug times,the daily musical numbers,the feel of the sun on his skin,hanging out with his friends, the dinners he has with his mom every now and then,the parties, his pod, the critters, the little moments he shared with the most important trolls of his life and so much more... When the spy prepared for and started his mission he knew that he wouldn't see them for a very long time. The hunter always knew that he loves his home but, he never thought that he would miss it all as much as he does. It now hurts his heart that he is so far away.

Right now Poppy is somewhere random in Vampdom. He honestly didn't care where he was since he is so focused on how much he misses home. Poppy decides to sit down at a table outside a coffee shop. The table is round and white and is made of metal with wood. The legs are made of metal and are shaped to be brought close together half way from the middle then is elegantly curled to create the feet of the legs. The top part of the table is wooden and dark with white metal framing. There is the logo of the coffe shop craved into the center. The chair metal and painted white as well.

Poppy sighs sadly as he sits at the table to himself.  His ears drop as longinly in his heart for home increases. There is a frown on his face. His eyes are filled with sadness and longing. The homesick spy puts his hands on his lap as he leans back into chair depressingly. Then he brings  his one hand up and stares at his Hug Watch. It softly dings making Poppy feel like he might start crying from how homesick he is.

Unknowingly to Poppy, Queen Branch is in the Coffee Shop. The Queen is wearing a brown dress which fades into dull green on the skirt and dull green headband with a bright green flower on it which sits in front of her left ear. The Queen didn't usually wear headbands but, she does somethings. She walks over to counter and pays for her strong coffee. The hot coffee is in a plastic takeaway cup with her name written on it in blue pen. The Queen thanks the man then puts her purse in her hair.

She picks up her coffee and turns around but, then she sees Poppy sitting outside through the large window. Without realizing it the blue vampire slowly walks closer to the window. As she reaches the window she noticed Poppy's state. Poppy didn't happy or bubbly as he usually does to her which catches her off guard. He seems so unhappy and like he might cry any moment which causes her to feel a strange hurting and concerned pin in her heart. The Queen never felt like this in this way for a guy before!

Her eyes fill with sadness and worry in that moment as a frown appears on her face. She feels like she can't walk away or ignore this without feeling guilty. She felt she couldn't bring herself to just leave him like that! Branch knew that something must be wrong. She let's out a small sigh to himself already knowing what she has to do.

Then a few short moments later Branch comes out of the Coffee Shop with two takeaway cups instead of one. Poppy has both of his arms resting on the table. His head hangs low as he saws at his Hug Watch. His eyes have become a little watery as he continues to remember his home. Branch slowly walks over to table then looks at him for a second. Branch is going to try to cheer him up. Here goes nothing...

" Poppy? Are you okay?",Branch says softly concerned.

Poppy's ears perk a little at the sound of her  voice. He is a little surprised to see her here. The spy notices the look on her face. Branch can see how watery his eyes are as a tear quickly runs down his face. This is the first time the Queen saw him cry and she honestly just didn't like seeing him like this! For a few seconds Poppy didn't know what to say so he let's out another sigh. Then the words start slip through his lips.

" I always knew that I loved my home but, I had no idea that would miss it so much...",Poppy admits slowly and sadly.

Branch's heart breaks a little at the sound of his voice. She realizes immediately that he is homesick. She feels sorry for him that he can't just go back home like nothing has changed. The moment a troll is turned into a vampire every bridge they had would be burned in a second others know their turned. The world isn't all cupcakes and rainbows. Then Branch sits down on the other chair and puts both drinks down on the table. Poppy wipes his watery eyes with his hands.

"I'm sorry,Poppy. Mr Honey must told you what happens to relationships after you become a turned. The world tragically isn't all cupcakes and rainbows like you would like to think but, it's okay to miss your home, your family, your friends... It must be really hard for you... ", Branch says honestly and sadly.

Poppy looks at Branch. The spy isn't one of the normal turned vampires but, he knows he can't just tell her that. He just wishes that he could go home and see his mom, his friends and the village again right now. Reading letters from The Strings isn't the same as having them around him. Poppy grew up with only his mother and The Snack Pack are like the brothers and sisters he never had. Their his whole family and the village was always like a safe and a special place to him.

" It is... They were my whole world growing up and still are the most important people in my life... Sometimes I forgot that they aren't here with me...",Poppy admits sadly.

Branch understands that. Sometimes she wishes she could be back in her parents' arms again but, nothing can bring them back. If she didn't have her grandpa or her friends she would had been lost. And ruling Vampdom would had been harder. She can easily imagine that the village and his family and his friends were probably his rock but, now... Things are different...

The Queen puts her hand over one of Poppy's hands then wraps her fingers around it. The action causes him to look at her hand then back up at her with a soft and confused look in his eyes. Something about her holding his hand like that feels little comforting. Then Poppy notices the gentle,soft and caring look in Branch's eyes. They bring him more comfort.

" Poppy, I know for a fact and from experience that losing the ones you love isn't easy... You will always love them and might wish you could just go back but, sometimes you have to deal with the bad things that happen in life... I'm sorry that you have to go through that but, things will get better for you. It might not feel that way now but, you will be okay in the end... I just know it...",Branch says softly and comfortingly.

Hearing Branch's comforting words causes Poppy's heart to skip a subtle beat and feel a little lighter. Poppy didn't know why but, he just felt like he could trust her words. That everything will get better and that he will be okay in the end. Then the Queen gives him one of her rare smiles officially making him forget his pain. Unknowingly to the hunter he starts holding her hand back just as gently as hers.

" Okay,Branch...",Poppy says softly and happily feeling a lot better.

Poppy smiles back at Branch. She simply nods her head with a soft and comforting look that says "It will.". The simple action felt like it was something special to the spy. Then after a few seconds of gazing into Branch's eyes Poppy notices the two takeaway cups sitting on the table.

" Who is the second one for?",Poppy asks curious and softly.

Branch looks at the other takeaway cup then back at Poppy. She removes her hand from his which disappointed him a little and brings it back to her. She picks up one of the cups and puts it in front of Poppy as she simply smiles at him.

"It's for you. I didn't know how you take coffee but, I thought you might like it sweet and creamy... ",Branch says softly.

She bought coffee for him? To help cheer him up? He didn't expect her to do that. Poppy's heart warms a little at the gesture. He smiles at her sweetly as his eyes soften with a loving and grateful expression.

"Thankyou... ",Poppy says softly.

" Your welcome...",Branch replies softly.
