The charity event dance has ended minutes ago. Branch and Poppy walk slowly over to their carriage. The pink vampire laughs at something the blue vampire says thinking it's a joke. The Queen just rolls her eyes not finding anything funny. She steps into the carriage as the driver is preparing himself for the road. Poppy follows the blue woman happily and closes the door behind him.

Branch sits down in the middle of the back cushion seating like before. Poppy decides to sit down on the one in front of her. The carriage takes off and luckily this time Poppy doesn't fall in any direction. That's when the hunter remembers something he forgotten about when he decided to dance with Branch...

The hunter had forgotten about what the other hunters had asked him to do in the letter he received! They had requested that he asks Queen Branch about her abilities. The vampire slayers don't know everything about her powers. He had completely forgotten about his mission! Poppy feels bad about it and is shocked that he forgotten all about it but, he hides this storm inside his mind. It still doesn't stop some of his emotions from showing his face.

Branch doesn't notice the dismay of the vampire with her because, she is looking through one of carriage's windows with a smile on her face. The Queen isn't looking at anything certain. She is just thinking about her dance with Poppy. It was so magical and amazing that it felt like dream. Unknowingly to Branch a dreamy starts appears on her face subtly the more she thinks about the wonderful dance. No man ever made her do this over an single dance!

Poppy looks at the woman sitting in front of him. He doesn't notice her dreamy expression but, does notice that she is lost in thought. Suddenly the spy gets an idea! He could ask her about her powers now and bring it in smoothly and causally. The carriage ride won't be short so the spy will have all the time he needs! A happy smile forms on his face in that moment.

"Hey Branch?", Poppy says softly and trying to sound causal.

His voice brings the vampire Queen back to Earth. Her dreamy expression goes away as she slowly turns to Poppy. There is still an smile on her face. She didn't really hear what he had said. Branch blinks a few times before making a sound.

" Hm?", Branch says a little confused and softly.

" Tonight was amazing. ",Poppy says honestly and happily.

Branch's confusion goes away as her smile softens. She had an amazing time mainly cause of the dance. Trolls are better dancers than she thought they would be! Without thinking Poppy finds her smile cute.

" Yeah, it was very good. The charity has more than enough money and the dance was magical in a way... ", Branch admits honestly.

" How long will it be before we reach the shelter? ",Poppy asks curious.

Branch thinks for a moment. She does the math in her head. Based off the distance from where they are and where the shelter is and also the speed they seem to be moving at, it will probably be about fifty minutes. Usually the Queen's math is correct.

" It should be about fifty minutes. ",Branch replies honestly.

The spy is happy to hear that. Fifty minutes is long enough to ask her causally about her powers during an conversation. His smile becomes a little bigger. He just needs to work it in...

" That's good! That way we can just talk for a while. ",Poppy replies happily and positively.

" Okay. What do you want to talk about then?", Branch says blankly.

The spy pauses for a few seconds to think of what to say. He quickly thinks of something natural to say. He kept his smile on his face so Branch wouldn't get suspicious of anything as they talked.

"I don't know. How about you tell me more about you?", Poppy says causally.

" Why do you want to know more about me? You already asked a lot about me by now and we first met not too long ago... Why are you so interested in me? ",Branch asks softly and both a little suspicious and curious.

The Vampire hunter knows if he says the wrong thing now his mission could fall apart! He does have more than just one reason. Poppy doesn't why he is just so personally curious and interested about her but, that curiosity was born in the moment they first met and never went away. The pink male decides to use one of his real reasons.

" I don't know. Something about you just seems interesting. It makes me want to get to know you more and be your friend.",Poppy says honestly.

" Does the words " Royalty" and "Queen" have to do with it? It's more common to be the reason than someone just wanting to get to know me. ",Branch replies bluntly.

Now Poppy feels backed into a corner. This situation is complicated! He can't just tell her the complete truth and it would be a lie if he said that her status and power isn't why he is an vampire in the first place! Maybe if he tells her a part of the truth and leaves out the rest of it the Queen won't be so suspicious about his intentions...

" Well Branch, you are the Queen but, that doesn't mean I only like or am interested in you cause of that! Your a person and I don't mind getting to know you as one. Why wouldn't I want to be your friend? ",Poppy says honestly and softly.

The Vampire Queen blinks a few times as she looks at Poppy for an short moment. She is thinking about what he just said. Does he really mean that? That he wants to be friends with her for who she is? Trusting others and especially men isn't always easy for her.

" Really? Then you might have to wait to see if that will work out...",Branch says honestly and softly while crossing her arms.

A little part of her did wanted to give him a little more of her trust but, she didn't feel like she could open up about it with him. This is just her personal problem with men sometimes and her past. Poppy doesn't need to know.

"I'm willingly to do the time like I said before. So tell me about your amazing powers? Do you have a special power like On? Cheryl and On explained them to me. They sound awesome! ", Poppy says honestly,softly and positively.

" I do in fact have one but, I'm not a conjurer. ",Branch says honestly.

Soon the carriage reaches the shelter. Poppy and Branch look out the right side windows. Poppy have gotten the other hunters' questions answered and even some of his own. Now he can report to his fellow Vampire Slayers. A soft smile appears the turned vampire's face.

"This is me. ", Poppy says innocently.

Branch turns her head to Poppy and doesn't say a thing. She honestly had started enjoyed their conversation minutes ago. Then Poppy gets up and slowly steps of the carriage but, at the last second he stops. It didn't feel right to just leave saying nothing so the hunter turns back. Poppy now stands halfway in the doorway surprising the Queen.

" Thanks for the ride and our dance. I really enjoyed both of them. Your a good dancer. ",Poppy says softly, honestly and happily.

" No problem. Your not bad either yourself. ",Branch replies softly,honestly and happily.

The hunter smiles at Branch with an simple and soft look in his eyes. It makes her heart skips a beat. This time the female noticed it happen and it confuses her. The Queen doesn't take her eyes off Poppy at all.

" I hope we will have another chance to dance like that again.",Poppy says honestly and hopeful.

"Oh,I wouldn't count on it happening often. ", Branch says softly and honestly.

Poppy still smiles at her but, this time it seems to be hopeful. It's almost like he is positive that one night she will dance with him again. Branch finds it a little cute.

" Good luck on your date and enjoy it,Branch...",Poppy says innocently.

"Enjoy your night,Poppy. ", Branch replies softly.

After the two vampires said their Good Byes Poppy closed the carriage door behind him. The carriage starts slowly moving as Branch moves closer to the right window. She sees Poppy wave and smile at her innocently and friendly. Within a seeming slow thirty seconds the turned disappears from her sight. Branch turns her head to the spot Poppy was once sitting.

" What happened back there?",Branch asks herself unsure and confusing softly.
