After the moon replaced the sun in the sky Vampdom started slowly waking up. In the castle of Vampdom Queen Branch frowns laying in bed,on her side, as she stares at the framed pictures on her nightstand. There are two framed pictures. One picture is a recent one of Branch and her Grandpa with a silver photo frame. The second picture is an very old one of her parents sitting under a tree. The photo frame is a little dusty and made of dark brown wood.

The Queen's eyes lock onto the oldest picture. She thinks about her parents longingly. Her eyes are filled with longing and sadness. Would they really be proud of her? Would they say that she is doing a good job?

Suddenly the female vampire hears a knock on the door. She hears her Grandpa's voice as she sits up. The Royal looks at the door as she grabs the picture frame with her parents in it.

"Branch? Is everything okay,Princess? Your usually out of there by now...", Rosiepuff says concerned.

Branch frowns at the door. Maybe she should talk to him about her thoughts. It has been a while since she have been thinking about her parents like this. Poppy had accidentally brought something up last night.

" The door's unlock, Grandpa...",Branch says.

The former king opens the door and sees his granddaughter still is in her baby pink pajamas and still in bed. He wonders if she is feeling sick. Rosiepuff closes the bedroom door behind him. He hopes that she isn't sick.

"Branch, are feeling okay?", Rosiepuff asks sitting down on the bed.

Branch let's out a sigh then shakes her head. Rosiepuff can tell that something is bothering her. She hands over the framed picture to her grandpa. Rosiepuff looks at picture and notices it is of his son and daughter in law. He looks back at Branch confused.

"Yesterday night I was with a recently turned vampire at the Moon Festival. He asked me about mother and father and it just brought up some old bad feelings...I miss them...", Branch explains softly unhappy.

Rosiepuff's confusion goes away and is replaced with sadness. He knows and understands how hard it can be sometimes for her to think about her parents. He wished that her parents didn't die but, life can be more tragic then you would want it would be. The male vampire puts an hand over hers and holds comfortingly.

" I miss them too..."Rosiepuff adds honestly softly.

Then the Queen curls up her body into a ball taking away her hand from her grandpa. The older vampire notices this and can see the sadness and longing more clear in her eyes. It breaks his heart to see this.

"Do you ever wonder what it would be like if they were still with us? You know if they hadn't died... ", Branch says sad and unhappy softly.

Rosiepuff's frown becomes more sad. He starts thinking back to the tragic day of his son and daughter in law's death. It was so tragic,unexpected, hectic and terrible day that it shook Vampdom and changed everything for Rosiepuff and Branch! He remembers asking himself questions, worrying and thinking of what he could had done to save them but, when Rosiepuff heard Branch's cry and found her he stopped in that moment and realized something important.

Rosiepuff snaps back to reality as fast as his mind went away from it. Branch's parents may be dead but, there are a few things for sure that he knew would happen if they were still alive tonight. Rosiepuff never doubted it for a second! It was clear to the grandpa that Branch needed to hear it right now. The male locks eyes with his granddaughter's as he tells her something important.

" Branch... If they were here right now I know for a fact they wouldn't want to see you upset like this. Even their time with us was cut short they still loved you with all of their hearts... They wouldn't want you to spend your nights like this fixed on them not being around anymore... If they were here to see you go through all the challenges,trouble and years they will be just as proud of you as I am! So stop worrying about what was taken away in the past... Your stronger than you think and are a wonderful Queen! You have your future waiting for you and I know you will do wonderful and great...Your parents may be dead but, as long as we remember them and love them they will always be alive in our hearts...",Rosiepuff says comforting and honest.

A small smile appears on Branch's face. She could tell that her grandpa meant every word. The younger vampire feels better cause of the Pep talk. She knows that she can always count on her grandpa. Rosiepuff smiles warmly back at her.

"Thanks Grandpa...", Branch replies softly and happily.

Then she uncurls her body. Rosiepuff moves closer to Branch and places a quick kiss on her forehead. He takes a hold of her hand and holds it gently.

" Any time,Princess...", Rosiepuff says warmly and softly.

After a minute, Branch turns her head to a clock on the wall. She notices what time it and realizes that she had missed breakfast. She turns her head back to her grandpa.

"Looks like I missed breakfast.", Branch says feeling hungry.

Rosiepuff let's out a soft chuckle. He figured that she must be hungry. A late breakfast in bed wouldn't hurt her.

"Don't worry about it...I'll have some breakfast brought to you here. I'm sure you could make up some time later somewhere during your Queen duties.", Rosiepuff says softly.

Branch smiles at her grandpa before thanking him. He always made sure that she got what she needed. Soon Rosiepuff leaves the bedroom with Branch still sitting comfortably in bed. She holds the framed picture of her parents in her hands while smiling at it. Then she gives the frame a small kiss. Branch then places the picture back on her nightstand. She will still miss her parents but, now them not being around didn't hurt so bad anymore.
