"Darling, can you help me with something?" Esmeralda called out from her bedroom as her boyfriend walked into the room. "Yes, Esme?" Asked Richard as he noticed his beautiful girlfriend standing there in front of the hotel's large window that showed the nighttime sky, littered with thousands of stars. She looked like she was struggling with zipping up her evening gown if the groans were anything to come by. "Can you help me with zipping up my dress?" She asked, her light sapphires meeting his. He swallowed thickly, his shaking hands touching her smooth caramel back while reaching for the zipper.

"You look beautiful with that ruby red dress, Esme~" he said, helping her zip up her off the shoulder ruby red dress that was embroidered with golden patterns that looked like vines all around the skirt. She wore a light amount of copper eyeshadow and nude lipstick for makeup. For jewelry, she wore a golden necklace with rubies and in-laid yellow diamonds, a pair of golden earrings with garnets, peridots and morganite and a golden amber bracelet on her left wrist. Her nails were painted a candy red to contrast with her dress. On her feet were a pair of dark black pumps that already made the tall teen even more taller.

"Thank you. I originally wanted to wear blue, but I decided to go with red since blue would wash out my skin tone. Plus the boys insisted for me to wear this since they disagreed with the blue gown."

"Well, they were not lying.. you look like the most beautiful rose that I ever seen~" her face took on a deep rosy flush because of that complement. Even though she was Bruce's adopted daughter, that did not mean she could pull her own during her heists, stealing back things that were wrongfully taken. "Let's just go, hon." She said, picking up her black purse incrusted with pearls and diamonds, taking his arm around hers. They walked out the door and into a small taxi that Richard had stopped. Esmeralda closed her side of the door as the driver started driving.

I wonder where my vigilante is taking me for our first date tonight? Hm.. he does like to surprise me. She thought, gently touching one of her earrings. The heiress felt a hand touch her own as she turned to face her boyfriend. "You will love the place I'm taking you to, my beautiful jewel." He said, watching as Esmeralda looked interested and tilted her head gently, causing the waves she made with her hair to fall over her breasts like a dark waterfall. She looked like a goddess of red yet she was human.

The car stopped at a small Japanese restaurant as they both stepped out of the car. Esmeralda tipped the driver with a golden coin to cover the travel. "Thank you for your service, sir~" she said, walking towards the place with the boy whom she loved deeply. Once inside, they both were escorted to the elevator as her boyfriend pressed the button for the 13th floor. She was happy for the first time in many years since her adoption.. the elevator rose up to the floor he reserved and walked out. "Come on, our table awaits my queen~" he said, taking Esmeralda to the table as he pulled out a chair for her and sat across from her.

The table he had chosen was close to a window so they both could see Gotham spreading out underneath their feet. "This is so beautiful, dear.." she mumbled, her eyes reflecting the light of the silver candle on it, like a bronze lake and the lipstick on her lips shines. He clasped her hand as she looked at him, making look even more perfect in his eyes. Richard reached up and tucked a strand of her dark ebony locks behind her ear. How the hell did she make herself look perfect even in the evenings? Starfire paled in comparison to this exquisite beauty right in front of him..

"What was I thinking, going after a girl that didn't love me when I have the most gorgeous lady in front of me who loves me for who I am? Oh Esmeralda, I wish I could be with you all day, every day and never leave your side.."

Her heart swelled out of pure unconditional love for this boy. "Richard.. I feel the exact same way, my beloved. When you leave me, I feel so empty.. so incomplete. You complete me, my other half. You have claimed my heart, it's only fair if I claim yours." She said, her eyes shining so sweetly. They didn't notice the server placing their drinks down until she looked at hers. "Oh! I didn't see it.." she picked hers up which was non-alcoholic plum sake, same as his. "To our future together, my love." He said as she smiled.

"To our future, my dearly beloved boyfriend~" she sipped at her sake as she stared at the window. "Hard to believe that just months ago, you were treated horribly by those so-called friends of yours and now, your leading the young justice league and having me as your lover." She said, gently sighing. "I get what you mean, Esme. Everything feels like a dream and you are my angel, my light shining from the darkness.. I hope to never wake up if this is real." That earned him a giggle from her. She truly was an angel disguised as a beautiful woman. No, she was a goddess and one he would gladly worship.

Why was he so blind, going after that alien princess? "Never leave me, my angel." She placed her hand on top of hers, giving him a gentle smile. "I would never leave you, not in this life or the next. I just wish that girl got to know you more before she rejected your feelings.. it disgusts me, you know?" She said, her eyes never leaving his. "Esme.. I love you so much." She placed her hand on his cheek. "I love you too, Richard, so so much.." they kissed that very night, enjoying each other's company.
