Someone to Stay - Vancouver Sleep Clinic
Millie's P.O.V
"IRIS!!" All of our attentions were quickly turned to the voice that entered the room. Familiar fiery red hair caught my eye.
Sadie.
"What are you doing?" She asked as her flowy white dress moved with her quick movement.
"Sadie, I haven't seen you in a while how are you?" Iris asked quickly changing the subject.
"What were you doing?" Sadie asked avoiding her question. Iris slowly took a step back as she stared dead into Sadie as Sadie does the same.
"Nothing," Iris says with a cheerful tone.
"Really? Cause it looks like nothing." Sadie asked with an eyebrow raised. I shook my head hoping Sadie would stop talking.
"I was just helping Mindy with her makeup, it just needed some touch-ups," Iris explained as she moved a strand of hair out of my face.
"It's Millie," I corrected. She only glared and continued smiling at Sadie.
"Come on girls, I heard there is no age limit in drinking here, let's get out of here," Iris said as she leads the other girls out of the bathroom. I sighed with relief once they were gone.
"Thank you so much, Sadie!" I said as I pulled her into a tight hug.
"You're welcome," She said as she pats my back.
"I see you stick up for yourself all the time at school, why not now?" Sadie asked as she pulled away from the hug.
"I don't know..." I said honestly.
"I think I have enough confidence to shout at a boy but not at a girl, don't know why" I explained.
"Let's get out of here, you've been stuck in here way too long." She said as she grabbed my wrist.

Several family members have already walked up to me and Finn asking about Iris and wishing they would get back together. Every complaint he heard from his family caused him to take a shot of any drink that was near him. It was up to the point that his steps weren't properly going straight.
"Mi...Millie?" Finn asked as he hickuped.
"Yes?" I asked as I followed his steps.
"Let's dance!" He said as he pointed to the dance floor. His long legs seemed to be losing balance as he headed his way to the dance floor.
"No, no, Finn, let's not dance!" I said as I pulled him to the nearest chair for him to sit.
"Come on, it's my favorite song!" He said as he pulled himself up. 'Take On Me' by a-ha was currently playing with several adults dancing their heart out probably having the memory of there high school dances. I quickly followed him no longer being able to stop him.
He began jumping up and down with the beat of the song causing his big brown curls to bounce with him. I couldn't help but join him in dancing. My heartbeat was quick as I continued jumping. The song quickly ended then switching to a slow tempo with a familiar song playing.
"Time to slow dance!" Finn yelled as he slurred his words. The song 'Someone to Stay' by Vancouver Sleep Clinic began playing.
"What?" He quickly wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me close almost making me lose my balance. The mixed scent of alcohol and familiar cologne tickled my nose. A lazy smile was placed on Finn's lips.
"Finn let go," I said as I tried pulling away from his warm grip.
"But I wanna dance." He said with his eyes half open.
"Why don't you dance with someone else like Iris?" He quickly shook his head no.
"No! Not Iris! I wanna dance with you." He said as he pulled me closer. I gasped a little from the pressure. He slowly rested his head against mine as we both swayed with the beat of the music.
"Fine," I said softly. I felt Finn's soft curls tickle my forehead. I never want this moment to end. He slowly lifted his head as he stared deep into my eyes.
"I gotta tell you something Millie," Finn stated softly.
"W-What?" I stuttered.
"I think I've fallen for you."
