*Namjoon POV*

“She’s not picking up, there must be some other way to contact her!” I threw the phone down and looked over to Taeil who was hanging on to the door handle tightly.

His eyes were wide with fear as I drove through the the city at a very risky speed.

“No, she covers her tracks. She doesn't do online transactions, if you can't call her than finding her will be nearly impossible.” His knuckles were turning white from grabbing the door and I just sped up even faster.

“Fuck me. Look we'll go to the bank first, see if there's some sort of clue, hell, I don't expect So Hye or Rebel to still be there but she just might.” I grabbed the wheel tighter and turned down a remote backstreet.

If I take this way it will be much quicker and there's barely any cars on the back streets so no one will see us.

“Why are you bringing me with you though?” Taeil shot me a confused look and I shook my head and looked to him.

“As leverage, if something goes down I need a plan B in place. That's you.” I raised my eyebrows and turned my attention back to driving.

We were on a long strip of road lined by large empty warehouses. I took the opportunity and sped up even more, I need to get to Rebel as soon as possible.

If she finds out that Taehyung is her brother, than we might have a chance to save him and Yoonjeo.

And I want to save Rebel too. I don't want her or her daughter to be under the wing of such an evil woman.

She needs a break, and she needs time to heal properly.

“Namjoon, do you hear that?” Taeil sat up in his seat, placing his handcuffed hands on the car dashboard.

I stayed quiet and soon picked up a loud machine-like rumbling. It was getting louder and louder.

“Yeah, I do. It almost sounds like a truck.” I looked to Taeil for a second and that's when I saw it.

An overpowered semi truck, barreling down the side street with a terrifying speed headed straight toward us.

There was no time to react or stop, Taeil knew it, and I knew it.

It was going to hit us.

At the last second, I grabbed Taeil and pushed him back into the seat as far as possible. The glass won't hurt him as much and the support of the door chasis section will shield him from the impact.

I looked at the truck’s driver seat and saw Taeyong with a triumphant smirk, and beside him…

Rebel?

I wasn't sure because at that moment they hit us, t-boning straight into the side of our SUV.

At first everything went hazy, my vision darkened and the only thing I was sure of was that we were rolling, fast and hard.

After a few seconds, the sound started to flood into my ears, metal being crushed and scraped across the ground, glass shattering, I heard Taeil yelling and looked over as the car came to a stop.

Upside down.

We were both hanging from the seats by our seat belts.

My head was spinning, aching and pounding at the same time as fumes and smoke arose outside and inside the car.

“Taeil?” I shook my head and called out to him.

The airbags had deployed but didn't do much when the whole car had been crushed like a soda can.

“Taeil, answer me goddamnit!” I looked over and saw his eyes closed, blood dripping down his neck and face.

He was still breathing and groaning quietly as his handcuffed hands hung down loosely.

I reached my hand next to me and after a few tries managed to unclip my seat belt.

Fucking worst idea I've ever had.

I fell hard to the top of the car which was now the bottom, and felt a piece of metal go straight into the side of my back.

“Agh! Fuckk!!” I yelled through clenched teeth and breathed in deeply as I tried to control the pain.

We need to get out, this car is a lethal death trap if we stay in it any longer.

The metal was deep in, but not completely through which means I just need to lift myself up.

“One, two, three!” I grabbed the top of the seat and pulled myself up and off the metal.

I had to bite my tongue so I wouldn't make any sound, I can't focus on the pain right now.

I kicked open the door which was almost ripped in half and placed my hands on the glass covered ground, slowly dragging myself out.

We had been hit into an abandoned warehouse, the car completely destroying the main door.

I got on my knees and slowly stood up, the pain shooting through my back was unimaginable and I knew I was losing blood fast.

I breathed in and that's when my heart started to beat faster.

I smelt petrol.

And fire.

I turned and saw part of the car was on fire while gas and oil was leaking from the engine.

This is bad.

“Taeil!!” I walked over as fast as I could to his side of the car.

I knelt on the ground and pulled open his door which had been almost twisted like a screw since it was hit directly by the truck.

Wait...the truck.

I heard it driving, and it was coming toward us.

“Fuck, I'm getting you out Taeil.” I lent over and grabbed his seatbelt and tried to unlock it but it wouldn't budge. The whole thing was smashed in.

“Forget it Namjoon, you don't need to save me. I'm the bad guy remember?” Taeil opened one eye and looked at me shaking his head.

I stared at him as my mind raced with thoughts.

Yes he was one of So Hye's soldiers, but he was a good man at heart and recently everyone had warmed up to his kind, quiet behaviour.

“No. No way in hell I'm leaving you here, I'm not So Hye, I'm a leader that cares about his men, and I care about our captives as well.” I pulled my combat knife out and forced it into his belt buckle causing it to unlock.

He fell down as well since his hands were bound but I did my best to hold him and soften his fall.

I started to panic as the back of the car started to burn, flames were surrounding the car quickly.

“We’re moving, now!” I grabbed his arms and started to pull him out.

He yelled in pain and I saw a large shard of glass in his leg. This only caused me to pull him out faster, and as soon as we got about three feet away the whole car was consumed by hot, red flames, destroying everything inside.

We were breathing heavily as we watched it, the vehicle we were just driving in was now deformed and crushed beyond recognition and burning like a gasoline drenched haystack set on fire.

No sooner had we formed some state of relief when the same truck that nearly killed us pulled into the warehouse.

It's front was bent in but everything else was fine as it stopped with a loud hiss.

Taeil gulped and I reached for my knife but realised I had left it in the burning car.

“Wow, I’m surprised you guys survived that.” Taeyong jumped down from the elevated truck seat and started walking to us, a baseball bat in hand.

The passenger door opened and my eyebrows furrowed as Rebel got out, her face a mixture of anger and grief as she looked at us in our injured state.

“So Taeil, did you enjoy telling them every bit of information you could?” Taeyong walked up and grabbed Taeil’s hair roughly.

“Get your hands off him!!” I moved forward and grabbed Taeyong's hand pulling it off if Taeil.

As soon as I did Taeyong pulled his hand back, only to send it flying forward straight to my jaw.

I fell back, slightly distorted from the punch.

“You betrayed us Taeil! Now, accept the consequences.” I looked up and saw Taeyong raising his bat into the air.

I couldn't move fast enough, he brought it down and smashed it on the back of Taeil's neck.

“No!! You fucking bastard!! Don't you dare hurt him!!” I sat and desperately started crawling to Taeil who lied on the ground, handcuffed and defenceless.

He was still breathing but I knew he was hurt badly.

If only I wasn't wounded by that piece of metal, I would be able to get to him.

“No Namjoon, this is how you lead a group. By planting fear in their hearts, then they'll do whatever you tell them to. Taeil betrayed our trust, now he must pay, and the others will learn from his example never to betray the group.” He looked at me with cold eyes then grabbed the bat with two hands, getting ready to hit Taeil again.

I turned to Rebel who was standing there staring at it all from a few feet away. She won't do anything.

She can't risk her daughter like that.

Right before he was about to hit Taeil my eye caught a sharp, slither of metal from the accident next to me.

I reached out and grabbed it, using the few seconds I had before Taeil would die to spin it in my fingers and figure out it's weight and projection range.

Without thinking I threw it with all my force, straight into the back of Taeyong's neck.

He stood there completely still, the bat that was just raised above his head, ready to kill his team member had now dropped onto the floor.

“T...Taeyong!!” Rebel ran up but stopped when blood sprayed out of his neck and he fell to the ground heavily.

His eyes were open, his fingers twitching from the little amount of life left in his nerves.

Taeil looked up a little, he was shaking and blood was running out his mouth. He looked shocked when he saw Taeyong dead.

“You killed him...you killed Taeyong!!’ Rebel turned to me, tears running down her infuriated face.

“Yes, I killed him, just like he was about to kill Taeil. Your friend!!” I stared back at her as I slowly stood up, the pain in my side increasing by the minute.

“Taeil was a traitor! And you, you are going to die for killing Taeyong.” She started running to me and I didn't have enough to time to move before she kicked me full force.

Straight where the metal had pierced me.

I knew I was screaming in pain as I slammed into the rusty warehouse wall, but I couldn't make out much else as the burning torture started to seep into my head and take control of me.

“I should have shot you the first time I saw you!” Then her elbow connected with my face and I fell on my hands and knees as I spat out blood.

I just need to tell her. That Taehyung is her brother.

If I could just--

“This is the last time you’ll ruin someone's life. You're a terrible person Namjoon, and I'm going to end you and all the suffering and pain you bring to everyone you're close to!” I heard her pull out a gun and press it to my head.

I couldn't do anything, my muscles weren't responding to what I needed them to do. My brain wasn't working like I needed it to work.

Is this where I finally die?

Is this where I stop hurting others and messing up their lives.

“Goodbye Namjoon.” Her voice was breaking slightly as she put pressure on the trigger.

I closed my eyes, and all I could think of was who I had hurt. My actions caused everyone to be hurt. Jungkook was shot, Rose was abused, Yoongi was captured, everyone else left. Maybe Rebel is right, maybe I should go, and stop bringing pain to others.

Maybe this is for the best…

“You know Hye Won, that's not a very nice thing to say now is it?” I opened my eyes at the new, strong voice.

No way...

Rebel moved the gun off my head and I quickly turned around and looked who had spoken.

My eyes widened in disbelief. I breathed out a long breath and knelt down in relief.

Bang freaking Chan.

“I've known Namjoon since I came here from Down Under, and he is for a fact the complete opposite of what you said. So maybe you should apologize and we'll consider not killing you and your entire family.” Chan walked up a taunting look on his face as Felix and Minho appeared beside him.

Rebel tightened her grip on the gun and looked down, her lip trembling slightly as she released a small, bitter laugh.

“I'm sorry, didn't you know? I never...submit to men.” She grabbed a compact flashbang and threw it at Chan's feet, they tried to backup but it went off sending everyone into a state of disorientation.

After the ringing in our ears had died down and we got our vision and hearing re-oriented, I looked up and she was gone.

She had escaped and I didn't get to tell her the one thing that I needed to tell her most.

“Wow Namjoon, I can't believe you didn't call me. I mean, you’re going up against So Hye? And freaking Hye Won? Were you even thinking about your groups safety!?” Chan shook his head disappointedly at me but I didn't respond to him and crawled to Taeil instead.

He was in a bad place. His eyes had started turning slightly glassy and bloodshot from the impact of Taeyong's hits, and his leg was still bleeding heavily...a few major veins must have been clipped from the glass.

“Chan, give me the lecture later. We need to save Taeil now.” I looked to him with desperation.

Felix and Minho both raised their eyebrows as Chan walked closer and looked at Taeil.

“Namjoon, you do realize this is Moon Taeil right? He’s one of So Hye's specialists.” Chan shot me a questioning look and I nodded quickly as I took my jacket off and held it to Taeil's injured leg.

“Yes, I know. But he gave us information about So Hye, and I promised I would keep him safe. So are you going to help me or do I need to drag him to a hospital myself?” I looked into his eyes and he considered it for a few seconds before sighing and taking his jacket off.

“Fine Namjoon, but if he ends up betraying you that's your fault and your problem to deal with.” He knelt down and motioned for the others to come help him.

“Yes, I will take full responsibility...for everything.” I lent back and let them pick him up.

Felix put my arm around his shoulder and helped me stand up.

I looked down as we walked to their truck and saw Taeyong laying there lifeless and in a pool of his own blood.

He was wrong.

You can't lead by fear and terror. You have to lead by respect and loyalty and caring for the people you lead.

That's how I'm going to do it from now on. No more proving I'm strong and independent, no more putting anyone at risk.

Just working together as a unified group.

And taking So Hye out for good.
