Nineteen

*Namjoon POV*

I turned my collar up as we walked into the bank with Hye Won.

As much as I didn't want to be here this was the only option we had.

“Tell them to let us through.” I whispered into Rebel’s ear as we approached the elevator.

It was guarded by two soldiers, and you would need a key to go down to So Hye’s base of operations, which lucky for us Hye Won did.

“Hold it Rebel, who are they?” The soldiers put their hand up stopping us as they looked me and Jin over suspiciously.

Jungkook and Yoongi were behind us.

I knew it would be hard for Jungkook to come back to us but Hoseok just had to buy banana milk and that was enough to convince him.

“They're with me, So Hye requested them.” Rebel told the guard down who was still looking at us suspiciously.

“Where were you the past couple of days, Taeyong said you went missing.” The guard crossed his arms and I tightened my grip on my gun which was hidden on the inside of the coat.

Rebel reached back and grabbed my arm tightly, stopping me from making a further move.

“Listen dipshit, I don't have time to explain myself to a little foot soldier like you, so let us through or I will have So Hye take you out for creating a risky public disturbance.” Rebel stood straight and the guard quickly moved aside giving us a space to go into the elevator.

We all went in and she put the key in, turning it and making the elevator begin it's slow descent.

“Hoseok, you've still got eyes on the bank yes?” I whispered into the earpiece.

We left Hoseok on the outside to do recon, in case So Hye brought in any more men.

“Yes, it's all clear from out here. Just make sure you take care of things from there.” I heard his voice clear and saw everyone else heard it to through their earpieces.

We stayed quiet, Yoongi and Hye Won stood on opposite sides of the small enclosed compartment.

She must really hate him, even I feel hurt after I saw the surveillance of him shooting Haechan.

The doors opened and we looked up, ready to pull out our guns at the slightest sign of hostility.

“Let me handle this okay? I want the killing and the fighting to stop too.” Rebel grabbed my arm and looked into my eyes.

Once again, I felt myself go weak under her deep blue gaze. It was as if I was falling under a spell that only she could ever cast on me.

“Okay, you do this.” I nodded to her and Jin furrowed his eyebrows and shot me a questioning look.

We walked out into a large room, barely furnished but the presence of enemies was strong as if it was a physical object bringing all our attention to it.

“Rebel, you smart girl. What do we have here?” A man with red hair walked up smiling widely.

I tensed up when he wrapped his arms around Rebel, hugging her a little too tightly for just gang accomplices.

Then it hit me, he was the one in the video of Rose. The one that was doing the terrible things to her.

My eyes widened when Hye Won grabbed his chin and smashed her lips on his, kissing him deeply in front of all of us.

My finger was on the trigger of the gun in my jacket. I was so ready to pull it out and shoot him dead but Jin walked next to me, just him being there reminded me of why we were here.

“Where is So Hye, Taeyong?” Rebel asked him and he laughed slightly while walking closer to me.

“She’ll be here soon, don't worry about that. But Kim Namjoon? No matter how badass she is I don't believe Rebel brought you all in so easily so what are you doing here?” He kept walking closer to me and that's when I pulled out my gun and held it up to him, stopping him in his tracks.

“We're here to make a deal with your boss, So Hoe, so I'd appreciate if you took a step back you fucking red haired bastard.” Yoongi now stepped forward, cursing carelessly at the man.

“Rebel? What is the meaning of this?” He turned and looked at her while cocking his head to the side.

“They took Lily, I'm their hostage now.” She looked at us with furrowed brows and he turned to us in surprise.

“Wow, I wasn't expecting that. But I never miss an opportunity to impress the boss so..boys!” He called out to the dark and soon a group of men were surrounding us weapons in hand.

The rest of us immediately brought our guns out but we were outnumbered.

I looked to Rebel and she was turning her head back and forth in worry between me and the others.

“How about I kill you all here, and get Rebel back, So Hye’s gotta love that.” Taeyong brought the gun to my face and stared into my eyes.

I stared at Hye Won, she wasn't doing anything.

I couldn't do anything, we’re outnumbered, if Hye Won did something other than the plan which had just fell out, then they'll know she betrayed them.

“Johnny, Mark, let's make sure we show So Hye our good work.” Two men brought their guns up aiming them at Jungkook and Yoongi. I recognised one of them as the other man who hurt Rose.

How did we walk into this...I need to do something...anything.

His finger hovered over the trigger and that's when I felt everything go slower, sweat dripped down my forehead.

“Goodbye...Kim Namjoon.” He smirked as he put pressure on the trigger and I heard Jin yelling for me to move but it was too late, the sound of the gunshot made my ears nearly burst as I closed my eyes.

There was a ringing and a deathly silence, for what seemed like minutes.

“Namjoon!” My eyes shot open at Jin's voice.

I was still alive...

And Taeyong was on the ground, holding his shoulder which was covered in blood.

I looked behind me and I couldn't believe my eyes.

Taehyung.

Taehyung was standing in the elevator, a short range DMR in hand, his left eye covered with the eye patch.

It really was Taehyung.

“Stand down.” He commanded with a deep strong voice and Taeyong’s men took a step back, lowering their guns as he walked to us.

Taehyung sounded different though. He sounded more cold... emotionless.

I breathed out heavily as I wiped the sweat from my forehead. He saved us.

“I go away for a few weeks and this is what happens. A little pushover group of back street thugs led by a mental woman with mommy issues thinks they can take over Seoul.” Taehyung laughed bitterly and stood in front of Taeyong.

“These are your guys? Johnny, the man who lost his family to a gang shootout, Jaehyun and Doyoung who owe debts to So Hye...Mark, your friend who joined this because you did...you're nothing compared to us.” He crouched down and stared him in the eye.

“How do you know all that?” Taeyong asked while he groaned in pain from his wounded shoulder.

“Because I know who you previously worked for, Seoul's Sinner...the man everyone in the world hated. You can't run from your past that easily.” He grabbed Taeyong’s wound and started putting pressure to it.

I reached forward to stop him but Jin grabbed me shaking his head.

I saw Rebel looking at the scene with a mix of fear and disbelief. What was going through her head? Something Taehyung said really affected her.

Jungkook was about to say something to Taeyong but we were interrupted when we heard a woman laughing.

From the shadows emerged the person that made my blood boil. The person that I would end even if it took my last breath.

So Hye.

“Such a wonderful chain of events. I really wasn't expecting such a grand turnout today but I will surely take it.” She smiled cruelly and walked around Taeyong to Rebel.

“Oh my dear Hye Won...so brave of you, but you're work here is done.” She pulled out a gun and pointed it to Rebel.

My heartbeat quickened as I stared at her and the barrel pointed at her. I desperately ran forward but there wasn't enough time.

She pulled the trigger.

And I felt like my heart was being ripped out.

Me and Jin both desperately lunged forward and caught Jungkook before he fell to the ground. Blood was pouring out his chest and spurting out his mouth.

“I'm sorry Namjoon.” Rebel gave me a sad look as So Hye grabbed her hand while laughing.

“Oh, did you think that Rebel was actually on your side this whole time? Dear, oh dear, she brought you to me, such a loyal girl.” I felt my whole body being pulled apart as I put pressure on Jungkook’s chest, trying to keep him from losing too much blood from the bullet wound.

It was all a fucking trap.

And Rebel played us all.

Taehyung stood up with a sidearm and held it to So Hye, his eyes void of emotion and his hand firm and stable.

“I came here for one thing...to end your sick, pathetic excuse of a life.” He pointed it at her head, but she just smiled more.

“Oh wait, before you kill me there is someone you absolutely must meet first.” She snapped her fingers and a door opened.

From that moment everything started moving in a confusing and suffocating blur.

Another strange man came in, dragging someone with him.

I heard Taehyung’s gun drop to the ground.

“Oh…...Yoonjeo?”
