I pushchair backward immediately whilst he takes his big steps towards me. placing the coffee cup on the desk, leaving a small gap between us.
"Miss Reed". He grabs a tissue whilst grabs my chin with his warm hands and rubbing where I paint my face with lipstick.

"Do I have to remind you every day how my secretary used to work here"? His warm breath touches my skin gently yet I felt goosebumps all over my body.

Startled by his moves, I move backward while he grabs my arm takes me back to my original position.
"It's half past 9 Miss Reed and if I'm gonna be late for this meeting, you are going to be responsible for this reckless behavior".

"Huh!!"
Is he suffering from a split personality disorder, warmth in his eyes, and Rudeness in his tone?

"Stop biting your lip, Olivia".
I step backward again and make quite a distance from him.

"Make sure to think of some ideas about the project you are reading earlier until I return". He grabs his coat from the hanger and leaves the room.

"Agh!!. What's wrong with me. why my heart is pacing"? I rub my hand many times on my heart and drink a glass of water.

Hmm.UAE project. How can we make this deal?
Key points:
1) Better deal than other companies
2) Profit-making ideas rather than other companies. Or maybe bribe them to stay out of our way.
3) Easy and effective implementation of the plan or maybe give some advantages or assets to the UAE.

Forget it. He'll handle it himself. I rewind the moment between me and Mr.Devil. I got goosebumps in my body. It's 10, probably he'll reach there on time otherwise ahh... I don't know what would he do.

oh, I forget to call Ash.
"Hey, Ash." "yea..okay. am coming".

I rushed to the cafeteria where Ash was waiting for me.
"Have you been well? you look a little off"? He asked in a concerned tone.

"yea! I didn't sleep much last night and my head is bursting now. I need to eat something before Boss comes back".

"Okay, let's go then".
we ate and Ashton moved to his desk where I wait there to have a chat with Sophia.

"Hey Sophia, you look stunning today. Anything special today"?
she is wearing a yellow floral top and skin color skirt.

"Thank you for the compliments. Not that special but Jade is coming today from his overseas work".

"Jade? who"?

"Huh. You don't know Jade. 'Jadon García'. He is working overseas for about a month that's why you didn't know him. He is a bodyguard and a good friend of Boss. Boss asked him to do his important work. Though I don't know what important work he does".

"Ohh. I see. Are you guys dating"?
I asked excitedly.

"No. Not yet. I am on stand by. He said that he wants a word with me in person". She replies immediately blushing like a kid.

"Ahan.. your red cheeks say it all". I teased her." Is he that handsome that even a little chat makes you blush like that"?

"Indeed he is handsome as hell. Muscular body, broad shoulders, Tall, Brown hairs, perfect jawline, and those grey eyes work as a cherry on top".

"Ahaan... Now am also curious to see him. so when will he return"?

"Maybe in a few minutes", she looks excited.
Oh. Suddenly I saw The boss entering
from the main door.

"Oh, I have to go".

"Hey! Hey!.where are you rushing?. you have to go with Boss that's also a secretary's job".

"Really. I'm quite surprised by this duty. Fine, I'll go with him".

While I'm staring at him, I saw another man same as that Sophia described a few minutes ago. I looked to Sophia, is that one? she excitedly replied without uttering any word and her cheeks turning red. "Not bad" I replied and gives her thumbs up whilst I joined Boss.
As we jump into the elevator, he's waiting for me to press the button where I was standing like an idiot. when our eyes match, he instructs me to press the button, I am flustered and instantly press the button.

Ahh.. what an embarrassment?

"Miss Reed".

"Yes sir"... I replied immediately.

"Because of you, I was about to be late for my meeting which never happened before". ( again I felt those mixed emotions)

"I'm sorry sir. I'll never do that again".
I tried to make this simple so I immediately asked for mercy.

"Didn't you hear from your colleagues that I'm not one of them who can easily give mercy to my employees? and sorry is not what I want. And when it's your second chance".

I felt that devilish grin behind his emotions.

Bing..! And the elevator door opens and the tension in that little space also decreases.

I followed his footsteps towards his room and take some big steps so that I can match his pace and open the door for him first.

He removed his coat and hang it properly himself whilst I just standing there like a muse, examines his every single move.

"Miss Reed, Are you done admiring me?"

"Huh. I'm sorry sir".I placed a hand on my mouth. I shouldn't use sorry". What the fuck. How am going to apologize without saying this word?

"Sir, I have completed the task and-"

"Let's talk about your punishment".

"you know miss reed, a Company CEO should chastise their employees when they make severe mistakes twice".

"I'll accept it". (I gather some courage and spill some words.)

Okay than. he rubs his hands which displays his excitement.
"you'll have to spend a night in this office arrange every single book and document alphabetically".

"Huh.. in this office?
alone?"
shocked by his words. I can't stay alone in this office.

"Do you want me to stay here with you"? (he asked me in a teasing manner.)

"No. It's not like that but I can't stay alone here".

"Elaborate". he relaxed on his chair waiting for my answer.

Do I have to tell him? That's my weakness if I tell him now then he'll probably make things worse for me later.

"I'm afraid of the dark". why I even tell him, I dig my grave myself. Agh Olivia.

"you can turn on lights here. That's easy. Any other problem."?
He seems so relaxed and looks like he didn't even realize how I'm afraid of being alone in an empty place.

"You can leave now, Miss Reed. I have more work to do. And I'll make sure no one will stay here without security guards. You have to pay for your reckless behavior".

That's rude. I make my way back to my room without uttering a single word. Nothing is going to change, he already made his mind and my excuses were not going to help me today.

I text my mom that am not going to come home today. I tried to convince her that it is just because of the work nothing more than that. How could I even tell her that boss made me stay just because I took a little nap on his desk.

I would ask Sophia to stay with me but he already warned me to take help from anyone. what a jerk he is?

As time pass, everyone left the office, there are only a few janitress and security guards. It's half past 7, I should get dinner from the nearby restaurant before it's getting dark. When I pass by some security guards, they stopped me and didn't even let me leave. I try to convince them that I'll come back in a few. But they are so adamant, instead of going outside, I asked them to bring something for dinner. They agreed ..Woah!! now, Mr.Devil asked them to keep an eye on me. Huh.

I head back to Mr.Devil's office with my delicious dinner. I closed the door and rechecked it if I closed it properly or not. There's no way anyone could come into this office now. This door is not going to open until tomorrow morning.

After dinner, firstly I take out all the books and files from the bookshelf. Removed heels and unbutton few buttons of the shirt. Tie hairs and turn on the music. Music is the only way I can distract my mind from other things. Should I remove this skirt too? No, Olivia, you can't.

I try to keep the books alphabetically first on the floor then arrange them together on the shelf.

It took almost 4 hours to arrange the books on the shelf though I take a lot of breaks in between. Ahh, my body is aching badly. I need a soft bed to lay in but unfortunately, I have this sofa only. I jumped on the sofa. He should have a bed too in his office, after all, he is the CEO of this company. Like in movies and novels, the CEO has this secret lavish room in his office. what if he too has that room. A devilish grin played on my lips. Maybe it's not that bad night. I could find his secret room. After spending half an hour, I gave up. Forget it, maybe another day.

I changed the music to a soothing classical one and lie on the sofa to get some sleep. Sleeping in another place is so difficult, changing position is not going to help me. Suddenly I was startled by the cracking sound.

"Do I have to check?
Nah, forget it".

It's almost a quarter to 2.
What if there's a ghost?
Why am I even scared of ghosts?
I gather some courage and open the door, nothing despite a dark corridor.
Maybe that was just my imagination.

I splash water on my face to regain my consciousness. Maybe it's just my freaking imagination. Then I again heard a bust on the door. I slightly open the restroom door, there were two guys in a black outfits, their faces were covered while holding a gun in their hands.
I shut the door immediately and called the security guards.

"Pick up the phone.
Damn it".

No answer from another side, I heard the sound of throwing things.
Checking the contact list to whom should I call, my hands are shivering with fear. My eyes stuck at his name. I press the call button immediately waiting for the person to pick.

"Hey, open the door". The thud on the door harshly.

I heard Mr.Devil's voice on the other side of the line.
"Are you going to leave office already Miss? Reed"?

"Sir.
Boss".
I try to speak but a thud on the door startled me.

"what is it."? He asked me instantly.

"Open the fucking door. we'll count on 3". They hollered from another side.
A blast of bullets startled me.

"Ahh..".I screamed.

"Olivia, what's going on"?
he asked furiously.

"Two guys entered your office with guns". I replied and the door broke off.
That guy held me from my hair and pulled me outside the room. The room is a total mess. All books and files were scattered on the floor. I turned my face, the other guy looking for something, throwing papers here and there.
The guy who held my hair grabbed the phone from my hand and throw it on the other side.

" Tell me where's the file of UAE Project". He yelled at me, anger visible in his eyes. He pulled my hair with more power, this time it felts like my scalp is going to part from my head.

"I don't know what are you talking about? I'm new here". I replied while tears rolling from my cheeks. I know it's the same project I was working on today morning. But I didn't know anything about it.

He pushed me and I fell on the floor while holding a gun towards me and he's sharing glances with another person. I got the opportunity and I kick him on his leg and held the gun from his hand. I stand on my legs and pulled the gun towards him and his partner.

"Why are you looking for that file"?
They are staring at me and exchange glances with each other.

"Spill the beans ,now. You are going to tell me who the fuck are you and why you need that damn file". I hollered at them. My head already hurts with the pain he gave me before.

"What are you looking at? Grab the gun from that bitch". The other guy yelled at the guy standing in front of me.

He tried to move a little towards me. I warned him that am going to shoot if he didn't stop there. But he ignored my warning and still taking his steps toward me.

I hold the gun with both hands and pulled the trigger with full force. Eventually, the bullet pierced his stomach, the blood flow from his stomach, and his blood spots speckle on my clothes. He fell on the floor and screamed in pain. While I was shivering badly from inside out
. Old memories hit me hard when I hit him with a baseball bat. The other guy rushed to his partner and hold him. we both pulled the gun towards each other. I already attempt to kill a man and right now am going to pull a trigger on another person.

It felts like a movie. Suddenly, someone hit hard on my head, and everything blurs in front of me. I touch the back of my head, blood dripping it and it felts like I am going to die.

"We need to leave right now. I found the safe", someone hollered behind me.

"Shin is going to die if he would not get any medical help".

That's the last thing I heard before I completely lost my consciousness.
