It has been a week since it was officially done between them, and Luna felt bad every day.

Tao has been missing class and when he came he would only sleep throughout the day. She never saw him at the cafeteria, and when the bell rang, he would be gone.

It was the third period, and it was the subject Luna hated the most.

She walked behind her classmates to the gym and went into the girls locker to change. It was a shared class with the first class, so that mean she will be seeing Hara.

She waited until all her classmates left and turned to leave when she heard a high pitched laugh from the front row of lockers.

"Well duh, of course she left him. She didn't want her virginity goes to waste." And the girl laughed again.

"Luckily you broke 'em up, Hara, they look very awful together." Another girl said.

"Like I would let them together." Hara replied cockily and the room was quiet again.

A lump stuck on her throat. She had never thought she actually trust someone like that. Now she felt immensely guilty.

"Hey, this seat taken?" Luna glanced up to the boy who talked to her and shook her head, continued eating her food.

"I'm Sehun."

Luna nodded her head. "I know, you're the school prefect and I saw you at the fair, too."

"Great, so you do know that I am Tao's best friend, right?" He asked, started digging into his food.

"The one and only." Luna shrugged.

Sehun chewed on his food, trying to put what he had been thinking into a simple, nice sentence.

"So I've heard." He started. Luna looked at him for a while and finished the last bits of her tuna sandwich.

"Everyone did."

"And I know what really happened." Sehun added, emphasizing the word 'really'.

"Tao told me."

Now he got Luna's full attention.

Sehun put down his chicken and wiped his hands with a tissue.

"Let me tell you something, Luna." He cleared his throat. "Few years ago, there's a very cute, popular couple. Yes, you guessed right, Tao and Hara. They've been together for as long as anyone can remember."

Luna pushed away her tray. She could always stand up and leave, but she wanted to listen. She wanted to understand.

"And just a year ago, on New Year, she spat those break up lines saying that she's not perfect to him. But it turned out that she had been two timing on him all those times when they're still together."

'So it wasn't about sex?' Luna thought.

"He was shattered, and on the same year his parents divorced and his mom remarried. Anyone would be depressed if they were in Tao's shoes. He did, I know he did but not after he met you. I mean, not after you became his girlfriend." Sehun made air quote.

Luna just stared at the other boy who smiled kindly at her.

"Did you noticed his changes? Because I do." Sehun added on.

Luna bowed her head. Yes, she noticed now, why she did not notice it before? Right, she was busy being protective of herself that she became blind of everything.

"I think he likes you." Luna's eyes snapped back to Sehun. "No scratch that. He loves you. Something he hasn't been able to since Hara."

Tears were demanding to be released. Luna held it in.

"What should I do? He left me, no, I left him. He is probably hating me because of that. But I know I couldn't make it through another day without him. I feel awful!"

"He stayed in his room for two days now, I think you know what to do." Sehun smiled.

"Hello, eomeonim. I'm sorry if I come at a wrong time." Luna said as she shrugged off her coat.

"That's okay. I'm actually glad you came. What happened with you and Tao? Did you two fight?" Mrs. Shin asked, concern clearly shown on her face.

Luna shook her head. "Where's Tao, eomeonim?"

"He's upstairs in his room. He's been quite hard lately." Tao's Mom sighed.

"Hard?"

She nodded. "He turned..to his old self. Anyway, go on, I'll send some snacks later."

"Alright, thanks eomeonim."

Luna took a deep breath before knocking his door.

"Go away." His deep voice made her heart leaped. She had missed him, and she has just realised it now.

Despite his warning, she opened the door and saw his back. He was sitting in front of a painting board, being carried away by his work.

She was just standing there looking at his back when a voice pulled her back to the present.

"What are you doing here?" Tao asked.

"I came to see you."

"Well you just did, now go home."

Luna walked a step closer. "Tao I.."

"Stop. I don't want to hear anything. I've had enough. You don't have to apologize. What's between us is over. I don't ever want to see you again."

His words shattered her heart into pieces again, if that was even possible. Next she did what she think best, she ran out.

Tao stared at the empty spot where she stood. Why did he said that? When he saw her, he felt his heart warmed up again, something he never thought it will ever again.

He really want to run to her, and hug her. Squeeze her in his arms, never let her leave again, never let her cry again.

But his ego won, so again, the stabbing words flowed out his mouth, and she ran out, crying.

"Idiot, are you just going to stand there and stare? Aren't you going after her?" He was shocked when his Mom stood where he was staring.

"Are you even listening? Go after her!"

Tao nodded and kissed his Mom on hm the cheek before running after Luna.

He ran to the gate and asked the guard about her. The guard shook his head.

"She hasn't passed here yet."

Tao muttered a thank you and ran off to find her around the house.

He reached the garden where the pond was and saw Luna crouching on the edge of the pond, face planted on palms.

"You are going to fall if you sit like that."

Luna stood, but kept her face bowed, and walked away.

"Are you going to run off like that?" She stopped on her track, her back on Tao.

"Because I know I won't run again, not this time." Tao added and she sucked on a breath.

Shortly after, she felt a pair of arms circled her waist and her back came intact with a hard chest.

"Stay, please." His warm breath fanned her cheek as a smile crept on her lips.

"Well, since you say please."
