"Happy birthday Hara!" Minah said, hugging her friend.

"Thanks!" Hara hugged her back and playfully pinch Minah's cheek.

"I want a hug too!" Jieun said, pouting like a child as she opened her arms for a hug.

Hara chuckled and hugged her tightly.

"Happy birthday Hara." Jieun said, breaking their hug. They returned back to their seat.

Outside at the hallway, Tao was making his way to Hara's class. He had prepared a special gift for her, a necklace with beautiful white gold pendant attached to it, which he had personally asked or her name to be carved behind the white heart.

"Thank you!" Hara's little voice danced into his ears.

He smiled. He had missed her. He had missed the time they used to spent together, the memories they made. That was the reason why he pulled together his guts and pushed away his ego for once, so that he could see her, talk to her. Maybe be friends with her again. Maybe the situations will change.

"Wow, your hair clip is very pretty!" A girl gushed.

"Sungho bought it for me. Yesterday we went out together." Hara replied, her tone happy.

Tao stopped on his track, just outside the class, though he made sure he was standing behind the door so that Hara would not see him.

"You lucky girl! Where did you go?" Another girl said.

"Well, we went to the amusement park, watched movies, and when it's midnight he sent me home." She said.

"Did you guys kissed?" One girl asked and the other squealed.

"Um.."

"Please tell us!"

"Yes?" And the high pitched squeals attacked his ears.

'They kissed.'

The all too familiar painful feelings stabbed his heart. He did not want to listen for more, what he heard was more than enough, but his legs refused to move so he stood there listening to whatever she would say next.

"How was it?" Her friend asked again. He felt like wanting to cut her tongue out of her chatty mouth.

"Oh Minah, he's so charming! We're together for two years and a half now, but he still got me surprised everytime. I don't think I can get any perfect guy like him." Hara said and her friends oohed.

'Two years and a half?' His forehead crinkled in confusion before his eyes widened.

"How about Tao? I heard he drastically changed after you left him." The same voice- Minah said again.

"Yeah, I heard about it too. He didn't even bother to find another girl after you dumped him." That another girl said.

Hara laughed, that laugh he always thought as a cure to any problem he faced.

"Jieun, I don't think he'd ever move on. He's still not over me, I just know it." Hara replied, her voice arrogant, something he did not think she was capable of while they were still together.

His heart torn apart and the wound bleed again. Tao turned and walked away. Their laughs mocked him, making him feel a lot more worse.

Then it crossed his mind. She has successfully moved on while all was still raw to him. Everything that he spent his sleepless nights telling himself that she never meant to hurt him was actually planned all along. The breakup, the pain. A foreign feeling grew inside him, a feeling he would d never think he will ll feel toward her.

Hate.

And he will l do whatever it take to make sure she take back what she said.

It was lunchtime.

Everyone was chatting about the Green Earth fair tomorrow and the classes even got suspended for the rest of the day to give time for the students to make their last preparations.

Luna quickly packed her bag and got up so that she would not have to face the devil alone. But her hopes were shattered when she heard the scary deep voice calling her name from behind.

"Nerdie, I have to talk to you."

"Y-yes?" She felt like her soul have left her behind.

A sigh. "How can I talk with your back? Come sit here, now." Tao pressed that last word harder because that poor girl looked like she was about to run.

Luna back-pedaled and sat at the front row of her seat, trying to make as much distance with Tao as possible.

Tao sighed again.

"Let me make this fast." Tao started and Luna's heart beat faster that she thought it would fall down from its socket.

"Be my girlfriend."

Her heart stopped beating as she snapped her head to the devil.

"What?" She shouted.

"I mean if you want your lunch box back. If you don't, oh well, I could just stick the papers everywhere."

Tao leaned back and stretched his long legs under his table. "Your call."

"I would never be your girlfriend!" Luna stood up abruptly, knocking the chair in the process. She turned and began to walk away.

"Well then, the whole school will know your secrets, princess."

Luna bit her lower lip. She could not let it spoil everything. She had done so much, sacrificed a lot.

She returned to her table and sat, arms crossed on her chest in a huff.

"Fine. What do you want me to do?"

Tao raised his eyebrow. "Told you, you just have to act like my girlfriend."

Luna look confused.

"Don't tell me you never had a boyfriend before." And her face went to bright red in a second.

"Figured." Tao laughed. "Well, princess, tomorrow come to our booth. I'll show you how."

Luna woke up as grumpy as ever.

She was hoping to stay home all day long but her 'boyfriend' called her as early as 5 am to wake her up. Now it's 6:15 am and she sat there watching her so-called boyfriend discussing about their project with the student prefect.

Sehun glanced at the droopy eyed girl who sat hugging her bag.

"Isn't that Luna?" He pointed at her.

"Mhmm." Tao pinned another picture on the makeshift board. It was the picture of a penguin in its habitat.

"She looks like she wants to kill you. Why is she looking like that?"

"I have no idea."

Luna was nodding her head off when her waist was jabbed sharply. She woke up with a bloodshot eyes and glared at the human who dared to disturb her.

"Hey beastie." Tao shoved a steamy cup of coffee in front of her face.

She scrunched her nose. "Ew, I don't drink coffee."

Tao shrugged and sat beside her, sipping the coffee.

"Yah, why the hell did you woke me up so early?" Luna asked grumpily.

Tao chuckled. "So you curse too."

He earned a glare from the girl.

"That's why Sehun said you look like you want to kill me. You're mad because I woke you up early."

Luna rolled her eyes and stared at the booth across them. A girl was arranging flower pots on their table as a boy from their class walked towards her.

She watched as the girl and the boy hugged and kissed. She turned away, face red.

"Why?"

Luna shook her head and turned her attention to the boy next to her.

"What?"

"You're blushing."

"Nothing." A finality in her voice made Tao wanted to know more.

When he turned to look at the place Luna stared before, his mood plummeted.

"Don't blush anymore. You're not cute." Tao grumbled and went to resume his works.
