Lillith walked at the of the Hermes kids towards the stables. As she walked there she saw kids flying around on horses with wings. She stopped to admire them. They were beautiful and nothing like she had ever seen before.

"Impressive huh?" Said Amber. Lillith didn't even realise that she was stood next to her.

"Yeah they are."

"You'll get one you know?"

"Really?"

"Yeah everyone has there one Pegasus. We have to look after them, wash them and things but I think it's worth it. They're wonderful creatures and flying them is like nothing you have ever felt. Come on." She said as Lillith followed her into the stables. The Hermes kids were already stroking and saddling there own Pegasus'. Amber left without another word leaving Lillith and a boy with blonde hair looking around not knowing what to do.

"You two must be new." Said a very muscly man with a rainbow tattoo on his arm. "I'm Butch, son of Iris. I look after the Pegasus' here."

"I'm John Bishop."

"Lillith Lamwood."

"Nice to met you. The other unclaimed Pegasus' are over here. It's important for you to pick a Pegasus that you have a bond with so walk around see which ones catch your interest and try to form a bond." He said leading them to another part of the stables where all the other Pegasus'. The one called John seemed to click with all of them. A lot of them seemed to be snuggling into him while the case was very different for Lillith. They moved away from here. Like everyone moved away from Nico, like he had some kind of disease. Lillith sighed finding herself alone as the other Pegasus' watching her like she was something bad. That was when she saw the one in the corner. It was a brown Pegasus with white patches all over it's body including it's wings. She looked lonely so Lillith walked up to her. Surprisingly it didn't run away like the others it just stayed still and watched her closely. She smiled at it, trying not to seem threatening. The Pegasus tilted it's head at her in confusion, like it didn't understand what was going on.

"Hey buddy. You looked pretty lonely by yourself over here. Mind if I join you?" The Pegasus sniffed her a little and took a step closer to her. "You didn't run. That's a first." She said slowly lifting her hand up and stroking the Pegasus' head. It closed it's eyes like it was enjoying her touch.

"Wow you actually bonded with Chestnut." Said Butch coming up to her. Chestnut whined at him as he came closer and backed up moving closer to Lillith as if seeking protection from her.

"Has no one else been able too?"

"No. She's a bit of a trouble maker. She gets a little aggressive towards the others so they tend to stay well away from her. A couple of other have used her to train when their Pegasus were ill and stuff but she was always grumpy and aggressive with them."

"So I guess this bond between Pegasus and rider is really important then?"

"Yeah it is. I mean when you in the air your both relying on each other to stop yourself and them from plummeting to your death. You rely on her to keep flying right, she relies on you to guide her right. Well I'll help you saddle up amd you can have a ride."

"What right now?"

"Yeah of course. You current cabin is meant to be Pegasus training and now you've found yours you should join them."

"But I have no idea how to do something like that."

"No one does on the first try. There is no right way to ride a Pegasus you have to find a way that works for you and your Pegasus. Don't worry I'm sure you'll be fine. Chestnut might be aggressive and a little mean but she is a very capable flyer..."

Lillith and Butch had strapped Chestnut up and Lillith very carefully and nervously climbed onto her back. Butch checked the buckles to make sure that they were on right. He spotted Lillith's nervous look.

"Try to calm down. She can sense your fear, you panic, she panics and you crash and burn."

"Alright okay. I'm calm, I can do this." Butch smiled and gave Chestnut a little pat. Then she began to run in a sprint. Lillith held on tight and looked to the side as she saw Chestnut spread her wings, readying herself for flight. She picked up more speed and flapped her large brown and white wings and Lillith could feel as they left the ground.

"Wow." Said Lillith almost falling off and grabbed hold of Chestnuts neck. Lillith could feel that she was strong, her breathing was steady and calm. Lillith began to calm down and very slowly she sat back up straight. She looked around, at the rest of the camp below. "Everyone looks to small from up here. It's nice isn't it girl?" The horse neighed in agreement. Lillith closed her eyes and listened to the wind whip through her hair.

"You like it up here Lillith?" Percy called from beside her. He was confidently riding a jet black Pegasus.

"Yeah it's great. So who's that?"

"This is Blackjack. He says it's nice to met you."

"You can speak horse."

"It's a Poseidon thing."

"Oh right. It's nice to meet you too Blackjack." She replied to the horse.

"She really likes you you know? She speaks fondly of you." He said looking at Chestnut.

"Really? Good I like you too Chestnut."

"So wanna race?"

"No, that's not fair this is my first ride."

"Suit yourself." He said as he and Blackjack flew off at speed. Lillith gritted her teeth and leaned into her own Pegasus.

"Hey girl I know it's our first ride and everything but let's take this guy down a few notches." The Pegasus neighed and the two speed after the son of Poseidon and his black Pegasus...
