Talking

Lolita sat peacefully on the Gryffindor dining table when Scorpius suddenly walked over with Rose and Albus and sat down in front of her.

"You're in Slytherin." Lolita said, not looking up at her twin and her old crush.

"I want to sit with Rose. And Albus wants to sit with his girlfriend." Scorpius wriggled his eyesbrows in amusement. Albus blushed and Lolita's heart clenched.

Then James Potter sat next to her. And her attention turned to him.

"What did I tell you yesterday, Potter?" She glared and hissed at him. James laughed and slung an arm over her shoulder.

"What did I tell you yesterday, Lola?" He whispered in her ears. She blushed and pushed him away from her.

The three bystanders watched and decided that James and Lolita definitely had something going on.

Albus watched, his eyes never left. So James was dating Lolita now, he thought in his head.

"Al! Oh my gosh! Why are you here?" Milliana appeared behind Albus, smiling happily.

Albus smiled at her and turn to kiss her.

Lolita's face held pure disgust.

"I'm going to vomit." She whispered, James heard and smirked.

"Well then, let's leave these people." James said, pulling her up by her waist and throwing her over his shoulder.

"James!" Lolita protested, hitting his shoulder and kicking him.

"Let me down!" She yelled, blushing.

"Not until you answer my confession." He whispered. She froze.

"You were serious?" She hissed back.

"Of course I was!" James put her down outside the Great Hall, where no one was, and sighed. He ran his fingers into his hair.

"I- I don't know what to say. You didn't ask me a question too, you just stated it." Lolita looked around for someone to save her.

"Fine, then. Lolita Malfoy, would you please do the honor of being my girlfriend?" James smiled at her and bit his lips nervously. He did that a lot when he was nervous.

"Lolita! Professor Mcgnagall is calling for us!" Just before she could reject him, Albus came to the rescue. She said a quick sorry to a disappointed James before running towards Albus.

"Good lord." She whispered to herself and walked behind Albus.

"So, how are things with my brother going?" He asked. She stopped. Did he know that James confessed to her? He probably did.

"Things? Fine, I guess. I mean, he's a little annoying sometimes, but he can be sweet." Lolita finally answered.

Albus frowned. So they are dating.

"You know, this is the first time we had a conversation since 3rd year." Lolita smiled at the floor and felt the souls of her feet bounce with ever step.

"You still bounce when your happy." Albus smiled.

"And you still put your hands in your pockets when your thinking about something." Lolita answered, immediately regretting it. She had always, always watched Albus. She had started to notice his habits after 4th year.

"A little observant, aren't we?" Albus smirked. She stuck her tongue out at him and continued to bounce.

His heart beat against his chest, hard. He smiled at the floor for no reason. He wanted to hold her hand, like he did when they were younger.

As they reached Mcgnagall's office, they say themselves down in front of her.

"Hello, you two. Please don't be scared of anything. I'm just here to reward you pins of a prefect and that you'll be doing rounds together. Gryffindor and Slytherin. 2 hours a night. Daily." Mcgnagall said, handing two pins to them and then they left.

Lolita groaned.

"Two hours? Are you kidding me?" She exclaimed. She was honored of course.

"Two hours with you? Oh god." Albus joked, putting an arm on his forehead and making a drastic face.

Lolita hit him on the shoulder and giggled.

"I can't spend two hours with you either, Potter." She smirked.

"But I can't spend less than two hours without you." He whispered in her ear teasingly.

"Oh, you asshole." She whispered back and slapped his arm, running down the hallway before he could catch her.

"Get your ass back here, Mal-" Before Albus could finish his sentence. His smile disappeared.

Milliana stood in front if a panting Lolita and glared at him.

"I thought we- You know what?! I hate you, Al!" She shouted before stomping away.

Lolita turned to look at him worryingly. He sighed.

"I'm so sorry. It's something I did, isn't it?" Lolita apologized over and over again as they walked to classes.

"No, no. It's just... nothing. Don't forget we have rounds tonight." Albus smiled lightly before they each walked to separate tables in potion.

She watched as he walked away, hands in his pockets.

She pressed her lips together.

It was definitely her fault. She had done something.
