Chapter #7
.::Explanation::.
It had been 2 days since you last spoke to Dio and Jonathan. You had recieved so many texts and missed calls from them you didn't even bother to look at your phone whenever you got some sort of notification. Luckily it was Saturday and Sunday so you didn't have to encounter them. But tomorrow was Monday, and you were going to have to face them. This was one of the reasons you absolutely hated school. But you were gunna face them, and you already had everything you wanted to say planned out. You had to make sure it was perfect, if it wasn't you'd just make a fool of your self.
On Monday you made sure to look your best. You put on your favorite tiny ruby earrings, perfectly winged liner, and a bunch of bangle bracelets. You made your hair looks presentable and actually ate a decent breakfast. Even though these were things normal should do regularly you really never cared about your appearance. You looked in the mirror and smiled. When you actually tried to look presentable you were literal goals. You left your house early and walked to school.
You just ended up hanging around the park across the street until the doors to the school were opened. You sat on the swings and just looked at the world around you. 'I should do this more often! How peaceful.' You thought to yourself, loving the way the land and nature around you had currently looked.
"Ahem" you gulped, all the sudden you looked up to see the jerkface himself, Dio.
"Oh um, hi." You said awkwardly, not really knowing what to say to him.
"You have a lot of nerve for ignoring me and Johnathan. Care to explain?" He said, acting like he didn't know when you and him both knew very well he was faking.
"You already know so don't even try and pull that s--t." You started blushing, so you used your hair to block your face. (If you have short hair just say you looked in another direction) "Actually I wanted to speak with you about that." You said, staring at him confidently and his head hanging low.
"I know that it wouldn't change anything but I think you deserve to know why I had been so mean these past 3 years. I mean all I did was change one day, and that really wasn't fair to you." You looked him straight in the eye and said:
"I'm in love with you, Dio Brando."
....
He didn't respond to you, his head still low. "I know I probably should've told you awhile ago, and I was, but I didn't want to hurt you. I remember how your eyes would light up every time you spoke of [SGN]. You seemed so happy when you told me she had accepted your feelings. I couldn't possibly bring myself to tell you. It would be so confusing for you, and I was scared it would ruin our friendship. And considering the terms we were in back then you would have probably declined my feelings. I certainly don't expect you to now. It's just, you know how people have this picture of happiness in their minds?" You looked at him to respond but he didn't say anything, just continued to look at the ground. You were spilling your guts out to him and he seemed to not care. Now you weren't a crybaby (unless it came to Melanie Martinez) but you really felt like crying. So you did.
"Well my picture of happiness would be me, with a perfect job, a big beautiful house with 2 or 3 gorgeous kids and someone by my side to help me by my side. And every time I imagine it for some reason, no matter how hard I tried, no matter how hard I tried to erase it, my dream life would've never been perfect if you weren't in it with me." You jumped off the swing. "So I started thinking, 'what would have happened between us if we didn't waste all that time competing over dumb things.' So Dio, I have a proposal for you. And you'll probably decline , but I still want to ask." You stood in front of Dio who was currently sitting on the swing.
"D-Dio, we've had a rocky road of friendship the past 4 y-years" your voice started to crack from crying. "And I've regretted every second of it." You titled your head down to look at him. "So how about it Dio, how about we start over?"
....
....
Dio didn't respond, his head still hanging. You saw no reaction from him. By this point your tears were falling like waterfalls. "A-Alright." You smiled and grabbed your bag. You then walked across the street, to school, and carried on with your day. And even though you felt crushed, you knew he had every right to say No.
