Chapter Twenty
For everyone who wanted an update. I love you all to bits. I'm sorry I haven't updated for a while *coughs* almost a year to be exact *coughs*
Please forgive me. I've lost all love for this book but you guys really wanted an update so I gathered up my pitiful lazy self and forced myself to write this chapter.
If there are any mistakes, please tell me. I only had like a few hours of sleep and I'm so tired.
Anyways, I have two questions for you guys. Do you all like creepypasta? If you do, who's your favorite? (Mine is EJ. Like damn, he's a hot bastard).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Mommy! Daddy!" you screamed as you clutched a kitten tightly to your chest. It's light and unsteady breathing makes you panic and scream again.
Your mother and father rush over to your side with the same worried expressions. "(Y/n)?! Are you okay?!" you mother asks you as she kneels down in front of you. She places a hand on your cheek and lets her thumb gently wipes away the tears that fall from your eyes. You hold a kitten in yours arms, desperately clinging onto its life; urging it to not die.
"Mommy, can we save it?" a desperate voice escapes from your lips and asks your parents. Your parents examine the kitten and give you a bitter smile and as they shake their heads, your heart plummets down. "I'm sorry, (y/n). I'm afraid we can't do anything for this one."
With what your parents said, you burst into tears as you watched the kitten's body limp. Its breathing has stopped and it's eyes turned lifeless, like the glass eyes of a doll. You let out a wail as you hugged it closer to your chest and wished for it to live; for it to breathe again; for it to have another chance in life.
While sobbing your heart out, you feel the kitten stirring in your arms. Its eyes blossom with life and it lets out the softest of meow as it catches you staring.
The kitten was alive. It started to breathe and move again, as if reborn; as if casted with a magic spell of life. You started to cheer and joy as you showed the little kitten to your parents happily. "Mommy, Daddy! Look, I saved it!" you exclaimed joyously, shocking your parents. They looked at you in awe and fright but hid it with a bright smile. "You're amazing sweetheart," your father says to you as he brings you in for a hug. "Y-yes, you did well sweetheart," your mother stutters out as she joins you and your father.
~
"(y/n), what I'm about to tell you might shock you but please know that it is the truth and may you handle it well," your mother says to you as she rubs the back of her neck. She looks really nervous, which makes you uneasy but excited.
"I'm prepared for whatever you have to tell me, mom. I mean, I can assume that this thing you want to tell me isn't that bad right?"
When your mother remains silent you start to worry. Luckily your father notices this and hurriedly tells you not to worry and that it wasn't as bad as your mother lets on. With a sigh of relief, you brace yourself for what your mother is about to tell you.
"(y/n)-," your mother's forehead crinkles and you notice her eyes reflect fear onto your eyes,"you're not exactly human,"
Her words take you aback. In your minutes of confusion, your mother begins to sputter out explanations and rambles to try and help you understand.
But you don't.
"Pft," you let out and start to laugh your head off. Both of your parents look at you in bewilderment, unsure if you were laughing out of relief or doubt. It was both if you were being honest.
"Mom, I thought this talk was going to be serious. I mean, I'm not human? How is that even possible to begin with. I know you want to lighten up the mood but this isn't funny, mom ?" You said. 'I mean, me not human? Then what am I, a cow hybrid that looks humane?'
Shaking your head, you convince yourself that your mother was just foolingmaround and that you were what you believed you were. A regular human being.
Your father places his hand on your shoulder and stares at you with dead serious eyes. "You're mother's not joking, (y/n)," your father deadpanned.
You look down onto your hands with confusion and shock swimming in your head. "T-that can't be. I mean, i-if I'm not human then-," you look up to see your father's face filled with concern and sympathy. "W-what am I? Who am I?"
You were having the attack again. Your sight blurs and you can't think straight. 'Who was I again?'
Before you fall deeper into your forgetfulness, your father places his hands on your your shoulders and makes you stare at his face. "You're (y/n) (l/n), the sweetest girl we know and our dearest daughter," your father says to you as he pulls you into an embrace. "I'm (y/n) (l/n)," you said to yourself for reassurance as you hugged your father back. Your mother joins the two of you and you all have a short reunion of comfort and joy.
"Mom. Dad," you say as you pull away, sniffling as you look at the two of them. "W-what am I really? Besides your daughter, of course." Your father smiles at you. "You're the offspring of a deity, (y/n)," he says to you.
This takes you aback. 'I'm the child of a deity?' A smile slowly creeps onto your face. "Well I guess what guys tell me are true," you said with a chuckle as you wiped away the tears from your eyes and stared at the confused faces of our parents. "What do you mean by what guys tell you being true, dear?" Your mother asks. You flash her a wide grin and say, "That I'm heaven sent," you wink at your mom who lets out a hearty laugh
The three of you discuss about you being the child of a god for hours and it left you with understanding and curiosity. You wondered if you had any super powers and the ability to read minds like Bill was one you really wished you had.
Unfortunately, your mom says that you didn't exactly have that type of power. When you asked her if that wasn't the type of power you had then what kind did you have. When she remained silent and secretive, you become eager to know.
Thoughts of various super powers swim in your mind until you remember what Bill said earlier. "Ugh mom, I just remembered something," you say as you fiddle with your hair nervously.
"What is it dear?"
"A-a close friend of mine said that he sensed a powerful entity here in my room earlier," you say quietly, looking down. "Earlier?" your dad asks you with a raised brow.
"I-I mean like a few days ago!" you said hurriedly. "Don't know how he sensed it but I-I'm sure it's true,"
Your father looks at you with that 'I'm sorry I don't belive you' face and you start to worry. You didn't want them to know about Bill just yet. They might find out about him being a demon and you didn't want to cut ties with him. After all, he is one of your friend (out of the three that you have currently).
Your father was about to scold you when your mother places a hand on his shoulder to catch his attention. She had the most worried expression plastered on her face. "Robert, I think she's right,"
Your father looks at your mother, flabbergasted ( A/N: I always wanted to use this word xD). "I too have been sensing something with immense power lately," she says to your father. This makes him frown.
"Alright. We'll have to put up a magical barrier then. Maybe an alert system too. We'll also have to keep tabs on (y/n) a lot," your father mutters as he starts to think of more ideas to protect you.
"(y/n), I'd like to meet all of your friends tomorrow for, you know, safety precautions," your moher says to you with a smile.
"M-my friends? S-sure, I'll tell them to come over at dinner," you sputtered out as you felt a pang of fear in your heart.
"Great!" your mother exclaims as she clasps her hands together. "I'll be sure to cook something good. Now, will you excuse me, I have to make a barrier with your father," she says as she plants a quick kiss on your forehead then takes your father's arm. Your father was still muttering stuff under his breath, not noticing at all the fact that your mother was dragging him out of your room.
"Oh (y/n)! Before I forget, you can't tell anyone that your a child of a god! For your own safety, of course!" your mother yells as she opens the door, pulls your father out the room and closes the door.
"I won't tell anyone mom!" you yell back.
When they were gone you couldn't help but remain where you are, dreading the day after today. You only had one maoj thought in your mind and that was,
'Bill is so screwed.'
~~~
