"Elijah." I asked looking up from his bare chest stopping my fingers from their motion.

"Hmm?" He looked down at me and a small smile appeared on his face.

"I really need to go to the store today. And I wanted to go alone. Is that ok?"

"Of course, my little mate." I smiled widely. I loved it when he called me that.

"Be right back." I frowned a little and went to the bathroom before he could notice my facial expression.

I went to the mirror and looked at myself. I blinked and looked down at my stomach. I turned to the side and looked in the mirror pulling up Elijah's shirt. I put my hand over it and bit my lip. How? That's all I wanted to know. If I am, then how is this possible. What would he think? I smiled sadly at my flat tummy and let go of the shirt. I sighed and bit my nails.

"Rena? Are you ok?"his voice made me stop chewing and turn to the door my heart beating faster.

I breathed in slowly and out. I calmed down my heart quickly then answered, "Yes Eli. I'm fine. Just-just thinking." Thinking in a bathroom? Sure why not. It's not like that's out of the ordinary for me.

"Are you sure?" He asks concerned.

"Yes." I moved to the door and opened it seeing him leaning on the door frame. I pecked him on the lips. "Now, I'm gonna get changed and head out. Love you."

I didn't know if a normal pregnancy test would work but I decided to try it anyway. No harm in trying anyway.

I had gotten two packs of different kinds and awkwardly bought them from the cashier. Longest 2 minutes of my life. I also got Lindor chocolate that taste so good.

When I got home I ran to the bathroom. Eli was gone and I wanted to hurry before he came back. I took 2 out of the each and did as said. I waited 10 minutes pacing up and down waiting. I didn't want to look at it for a long time but decided I had to. It was inevitable.

Looking over the counter like a hippopotamus in water I grabbed one and tilted it to meet my eyesight. "No, no." I quickly grabbed the others looking at the same results. "No, no, no." I felt sick and threw up in the toilet easy enough since I was already on the floor.

"Oh god." Another wave and I threw up again. I wiped my mouth and rubbed my eyes that were now stinging with tears. I grabbed a bag and took everything throwing it in a plastic bag. I ran out the door and went to a logout store. On the side there was a dumpster and I threw it in before going inside to get some chips.

I laid in bed rubbing my tummy. "What's momma gonna tell dadda? How is she supposed to do that?" I pulled out my computer setting it below my stomach. I looked at the baby clothes and couldn't help but smile. "One day I can get you all these clothes. Maybe your dad will be there to." I sighed exiting the tab and closing it.

"I'll always protect you, and love you. I don't know what it is but I love you so much already." I smiled and snuggled deeper into my comforter. "Maybe It's because I'm carrying my mates baby that gives me the overwhelming urge to do whatever takes to keep you alive and safe." I know that the mate bond makes you want to protect each other no matter what and I figured maybe that includes our child.

When I heard the door open I moved my hand away and moved my head to see Elijah.

"Hey, sweetheart." A soft voice entered, making me melt in easily.

"Hello, Eli." I smiled at him and motioned him over. "Come lay with me."

He laid down in the bed taking off his suit. I yawned and he smiled at me and I could see the love in his eyes. "Tired?" I nodded. I moved to face away and snuggled into his body. I sighed in content the sparks and the warmth feeling amazing as always.

He kissed my head and I leaned into his chest. He held me by the waist and I easily fell asleep.

Elijah leaned closer to her ear knowing she was asleep and whispered, "I love you Rena. More then anything in the world. One day you'll be apart of Always and Forever. I promise you."

He kissed her cheek and fell asleep with his little mate in his arms just like he wanted and dreamed about for a thousand years. And his one wish would come true he could father a child, his very own, with someone he loves so very much.
