"I gave you my heart, I just didn't expect to get it back in pieces."

Andrea's POV

I cleared my throat and averted my gaze. I felt uncomfortable under his gaze.

"I came for a drink." I replied nonchalantly and ordered the bartender to pour some vodka for me again as I finished my drink.

"Hmm. How about having fun with me?" He asked seductively as he leaned over me. His breath smelt alcohol.

"What?!" I snapped, furrowing my eyebrows.

"Come on. I want you. Don't worry. I will pay you. Moreover, I will satisfy you more than Alejandro." He said in my ear as he wrapped his arm around my waist tightly, pulling me closer to him and placed a kiss on my neck.

"You asshole!" I exclaimed in irritation and slapped him across his cheek as I pushed him back angrily. Then I threw my drink at him. "Bastard!" I snapped as I grabbed my clutch and left.

As soon as I walked into my penthouse, I burst out crying and collapsed onto the floor. I wrapped my arms around me, crying hysterically and leaned against the wall.

When I woke the following morning, I was still sitting on the floor, leaning against the wall. My head was pounding. My every muscle was arching. I stood up barely and went to the kitchen slowly. I opened the drawer and grabbed a drug container. I poured a glass of water and looked at the drug container in my hand, lost in my thoughts. I breathed deeply as I opened it and took all the pills in the container.

Alejandro's POV

As soon as I walked into the company, the receptionist approached me and told me I had a visitor waiting for me in the conference room.

"Didn't I tell you that you didn't let anyone in without my permission?!" I snapped, annoyed and walked towards the elevator in quick steps.

When I was about to reach the conference room, someone called me behind me. I sighed, rolling my eyes and turned around, facing angry Eva. I placed my hand into my pocket, waiting for her to approach me.

"You bastard! How you dare to hurt Andrea!" She snapped, frustrated.

"Watch your language!" I warned her sternly.

"If I don't? What will you do?" She stated sarcastically and tapped my chest with her finger.

I frowned, annoyed and replied, giving her an arrogant smirk. "I will call my securities and throw you out."

"Do it. If you could do an awful thing to Andrea, the woman who you claimed to love, you can do something bad to someone else or me." She hissed, giving me a disgusted look.

I clenched my fist in frustration. I breathed deeply, closing my eyes.

The people beside us were staring at us curiously like they were watching a soap opera while whispering to each other.

"Why are you staring? Go to your offices!" I demanded sternly.

They immediately rushed away, finally, leaving me alone with Eva.

She smirked, shaking her head in disapproval.

"You are a beast. I don't recognize you anymore. You totally changed. You became so ruthless." She commented in disbelief.

I gritted my teeth in annoyance, not because of her words, I had already known it, but still...

"Are you finished?" I asked, bored.

"No, mister! I didn't. You will listen to me. I will not let you hurt her again. Isn't it enough for you what you did to her a few years ago? Do you know how bad she felt when you suddenly broke up with her? She loved you so much. Unfortunately, she loves you now as well." She stated bitterly, giving me a loathing look.

I looked away without saying anything. I clenched my fist. I wasn't angry at Eva but myself.

"Do you know she got psychological help for a year?" She asked as sadness crossed her features.

My eyes widened in shock. I looked at her, dumbfounded.

"What?" I mumbled. My voice was barely audible.

"Yes, Mr. Fernandez. Because of you, she felt bad. She didn't eat anything, nor leave her room. She just lay down without doing anything. Because of a bastard like you!" She snarled in irritation. "As if it wasn't enough to lose you, she lost her unborn baby because of you!" She added sadly.

"What?!" I snapped in shock.

What the hell was she talking?! A baby? Andrea was pregnant?!

"Yes, dumbass. She was pregnant with your baby when you broke up with her. Poor girl! She was so excited about her pregnancy. She looked forward to telling you, but you broke up with her without any explanation." She hissed, irritated and tapped my chest with her finger, giving me a disgusted look.

"What happened to my baby? Did she get an abortion?" I asked furiously as I clenched my fist.

"No. Do you not know Andrea? Could she do it to her innocent baby? Especially the baby of the man who was the love of her life." She commented, looking into my eyes. "She didn't do anything like that. She was weak. She didn't eat anything properly because she was depressed. When she wanted to go downstairs, she felt dizzy and lost her balance. She fell down the stairs." She informed.

My heart tightened in my chest. I opened and closed my mouth without managing to say anything. Oh my goodness! What did she go through?! We lost our baby. We lost. But as a real jerk, I left her on her own with my baby. I hated myself.

"Her parents immediately took her to the hospital, but the doctor couldn't save the baby." She confessed. I closed my eyes in pain. Even hearing it made my heart sink. She breathed deeply and continued. "When Andrea heard about it, she got hysteric." She shook her head, sighing. "She lost two dearest people in her life; the love of her life and her baby." I clenched my fist as my eyes welled up. "The doctor calmed her down hard. She didn't talk to anyone for about a week. Fortunately, after getting professional help, she pulled herself together and got better as possible as in her situation." She added sadly.

I looked away, fighting my tears back. My nails dug into my palm, hurting me as I clenched my fist tightly. It felt like I couldn't breathe anymore.

"You are a murderer. You are the murderer of your own baby." She hissed, giving me a loathing look.
