Q&A

What was the purpose to writing this story?

To be honest, in the beginning, it was nothing but a pastime. I had no goal in mind, or anything else for this story. But as I kept writing, (the drafts, that is) certain thoughts would spring to mind. And eventually, it was because that I want to bring attention to certain matters written in this story. At first, it was just another story about bullying. But, as the story progressed, it turned out to be more of the forbidden topics, such as the root of psychological developments. No one really stops to think what might've caused the mental illnesses, the backstory of a labeled villain. And in this story, the main character is both the protagonist and the antagonist. I want people to see from this perspective.

Would there be a sequel?

Honestly, I thought about it. To write a sequel from the guy's perspective. However, I don't really know where to start with that idea, so I'll say no, for now.

Does the girl really love the guy?

No. She doesn't. She loves the idea of him, a sanctuary. You see, from the traumatizing events of her past, she's always alone. And when the guy came along, she could pretend that everything's fine, and normal. He made her feel certain emotions that she had not felt before. Look at it as if he's her comfort food.

What inspired you to include definitions onto every chapter?

Like most of the chapters, the definitions were impromptu. I was just surfing the web, when a picture of a definition caught my eye. I thought that it would be fitting to include them onto one chapter, but never actually planned for it to be in every chapter.

What are the 6 endings to this book, and which did you choose?

1. Her parents force a move; they're going to a completely new country. The girl, with a sudden rush of hatred, kills her parents and sets out to find him, who had broken up with her. "If I can't have you, no one can."

2. She was happy for a while, but in the end, an event breaks her and she hangs herself.

3. Schizophrenia.

4. The guy is a serial killer.

5. The guy breaks her heart. The girl, tears down with feverish anger and chooses to shoot the guy, then herself.

6. Everything was a figment of her imagination.

Combination of 3 & 5 was used as the people's choice. And I mushed 6 in to make it flow better. (Yes, there was never a happy ending.)

Why were there no character names given?

Since everything was an illusion, or most of it, excluding character names builds up that pretense more.

What was the hardest chapter to write?

The epilogue. I had no plans, there wasn't even supposed to be an epilogue, and it just came out of the blue. Since I had less than a day to plan it out, the format and conclusion, it was pretty stressful.

How long does it take you to write a chapter?

Anywhere from 1-7 hours.

If you could spend time as a character from your book, whom would it be?

Trick question! I don't want to be any of my characters, they all suffer and die.

What would the main character in your book have to say to you?

Fuck you author, for making my life miserable. Where's my happily ever after? I demand a refund.

Serious:
Normal her: Please, stay away, I'm dangerous.
Other her: Hello, my precious, do you want to fly?
