THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY
MARCH 24TH 2019

The Hargreeves featuring the devil watched the long lost Hargreeves in an oversized suit, going back and forth with new things. It was silent, thickly silent until Five decided to break it.

" What's the date? The exact date." He grabbed a loaf of bread.

" The 24th." Vanya said her voice slightly shaky.

" Of what?"

" March."

He paused putting everything down. " Good."

Lucifer stared at him. Well, not him but his suit. She was wondering if he'd give it to her. She loves suits. She definitely was looking at him, taking in the features of familiar face she hadn't seen in years. She couldn't help but wonder what could have happened.

" So, are we gonna talk about what just happened?" Luther asked as he took up a lot of space at the table.

Five didn't say anything as he concentrated on his bread. That annoyed Luther. " It's been 17 years."

He scoffed looking up at his older looking brother. " It's been a lot longer than that." He then spacial jumped behind Luther.

" I haven't missed that."

" Where'd you go?" Diego asked him as everyone's eyes followed the little man.

" The future." He 'blinked' back to the bread. " It's shit, by the way."

" Called it." Klaus, who was sitting criss crossed on the table, put his finger up looking at Lucifer.

" Klaus, I'm broke." He raised an eyebrow and she groaned giving him 5$.

" Thank you."

" I should've listened to the old man. You know jumping through space is one thing, jumping through time is a toss of the dice." He opened a container of peanut before fully looking at Klaus. " Nice skirt."

" Oh, well, danke!"

" Wait, how did you get back?"

" In the end, I had to project my consiousness forward into a suspended quantum version of myself that exists across every possible instance of time." He explained to them responding to Vanya's question. Lucifer snickered at the confusion on each of their faces.

" That makes no sense." Diego shook his head at what seemed like nonsense to him.

" Well, if you were smarter..." He threw a knife at Luci. " You know, that doesn't work on me."

" That's why I threw it." She rolled her eyes at him with a slight smile.

" How long were you there?"

" Forty-five years, give or take." Luther was flabbergasted by his response that he had to sit down.

" So what are you saying? That you're 58?"

" No, my consiousness is 58. Apparently, my body is now 16 again."

" How does that even work?"

He looked out the window with a pensive gaze. " Delores kept saying the equations were off. Eh." He then took a bite out of his peanut butter and marshmallow sandwich.

" Delores?"

" Who the fuck is Delores?" Lucifer asked with a raised eyebrow.

Five just ignored them. " Guess I missed the funeral."

" How'd you know about that?"Luther made himself look stupid with that one.

" Dear, are you dumb?" " What part of the future do you now understand?"

Five barely sparred her a glance. " Heart failure, ay?"

" Yeah." " No."

Diego glared at Number one. He knew Luther wouldn't let go of it, even with the trouble it caused.

" Nice to see nothing's changed." He started to walk away before double tapping Lucifer's shoulder. She knew what that meant.

" So, that's it? That's all you have to say?" Allison who hadn't said anything since he'd arrived, shouted in his direction.

" What is there to say? The circle of life."

Lucifer groaned loudly before turning around and following him. The double tap on the shoulder was something they used to do when they were younger to tell eachother something. One does it, the other follows.

" What?" Lucifer asked running a hand through her hair.

Five looked her up and down. " You're sixteen."

She gasped mocking him for pointing out the obvious." You too."

" I know you dissapeard in 2005 but how did you stay young?"

" That's a long story."

THE CITY, NEW YORK
JUNE 12TH 2005

FAITH DIDN'T GO OUT MUCH. She'd only go if they had a mission and it had been a while since they did have one. Her life in the umbrella academy had become almost boring. They followed a strict routine, a never loop. Eat, Practice, fight, eat, get high, study, eat and sleep. It was tiring.

The Seven remaining members were all doing their own things. Vanya could be heard playing her violin. Usually Faith would watch her play but she didn't feel like it. So, she went outside.

The 16 year old walked through the streets of their city, watching kids run around, couples in love, people screaming. That was her city.

" Faith?" A woman in her 40's called out for the girl.

Faith froze realizing who it was. " Mom?"

It was the one who gave birth to her, that experienced on her, abused and tortured her. That woman she grew up fearing was standing Infront of her.

A scowl placed itself on the woman's face as she approached her daughter. Lifting her hand up, a sound resonated in their ears as it made contact with Faith's cheek. Faith gasped at the pain.

" You're just as I remembered. Still a crybaby. " The woman known as Elena chuckled at the tears streaming down her face. " I found you. Let's go home."

Faith glared at her, seeing the malicious grin that resided on Elena's face. " Never."

In a split second, the crying girl ran away in direction of the academy. The woman ran after her. She let her go once, she wouldn't let that happen again. Faith looked back still running.

" Shit." After running for a while, they somehow got in a deserted area.

" C'mon, Faith. You have no where to go. Come to mommy." Elena grinned creepily taking a few steps toward Faith.

" I'd rather die." With that, she took out her wings and flew away.

" So you die." Before she flew away, the woman had taken out a gun.

Faith was immortal. Bullets would just bounce off her body but she had a weakness. Her wings. Her mother knew that, that's why she waited for her to take out the wings. She knew her too well.

" Fuck." She hissed in pain as bullets pierced through her. She couldn't stop. She couldn't go back to that monster of a mom, so she continued. She flew higher and higher not even noticing it as her eyes were closed.

Once she opened them, she realized she wasn't even on earth anymore. She was somewhere else, in space? As she tried to understand what was happening, her movements became restricted. Everything around her and herself slowed down. Her eyes felt heavy and her breathing slowed.

There she was, stuck in time. Well, her body was.

" Are you gonna tell me?" Five looked at the girl as she stared into the air.

She looked up with a slight smirk. " Nope."

He rolled his eyes moving toward his room. " You know after all these years, you haven't changed one bit. You're still annoying as ever."

" Aww, thank you. I'm sure you missed me. " She excessively pushed her bottom lip out in a pout in a mocking way.

The boy stopped moving, before turning around to stare at her. In the 50 plus years he had spent alone in the future, he'd missed all his siblings, more than he'd like to admit.  Missed them all but not as much as he missed her.

He looked down remembering the hallucinations he used to get during his time alone. Taking a deep breath, he played it off as annoyance. " Sure."

" Well, I didn't!" Five rolled his eyes as she cackled her way up the stairs. She followed him to his room.

" Shit." He mumbled seeing that all he'd be able to wear was his old uniform.

" You really love that word. What's going on?" Lucifer asked getting closer to the man child. Her body shook as she laughed. She'd forgotten about the uniforms they were forced to wear. "Ha!"

" Don't laugh. You're in the same situation as me."

" Actually, I'm not. Sir Reginald, let me have some normal clothes. So, Ha!" She repeated sitting on his bed.

Five rolled his eyes, cursing the little devil in his mind.

This chapter isn't that good but I really wanted to update. I really wanted to finish the first episode in this chapter but I couldn't find myself to do it.

Got a glimpse of Five and Lucifer's friendship/relationship. Once again, what do we think?
