On the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth. This was unusual only in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began.

THE CITY, NEW YORK...
OCTOBER 1ST 1989

In a cold and silent room, a pain filled scream was heard. On a metal bed, there laid a woman in labor, pushing just to end the pain. On the other side, a man stood analysing the situation. Trying to find a logical explanation but nothing seemed to make sense.

A sigh of exhaustion left the woman as the cry of child resonated in the lab. The man, who we could only assume to be the other's husband,  approached them. He examined the baby, still in his questionment.

A few hours later, they seemed to have made a discovery. After cutting the ombilical cord, the baby girl healed in no time. The assumed couple creepily stared down at their child. At their new lab rat.

THE CITY, NEW YORK
DECEMBER 18TH 1994...

She ran and she ran, never looking back. She was never going back to that place they made her think was home. She ran and she ran, never stopping in fear of being taken back to the prison they made her call home.

She didn't know the world. She didn't know where to go but she ran. No matter what happened, she was never going back to that hell.

Hiding in some alley, she shoved as it was the middle of winter and she wasn't exactly dressed for such weather. She'd rather die than to go back. Spreading her wings to cover herself a bit, she sighed feeling comfort.

Her eyes were closed until her feathers spiked up feeling someone's presence. She gasped backing away thinking it might be one of them. Carefully looking up, she cowers at the tall man.

He examined her, mostly her wings which scared her. " What are you doing here?"

She shook in fear of what could happen. " We won't hurt you." A more feminine but mature voice said. The woman got to her level with a heart warming smile.

" What's your name, child?" The man with the monocle asked.

" F-faith. Faith Lee."
