Mini Authors Note

Just for those who love Lord of the Rings the way it is. Yeah you probably won't want to continue reading this then. Something tells me that we probably won't follow a lot of either the book or movie however I do encourage you to continue to read for an awesome new adventure ahead. I mean no disrespect to the original author for he owns all the characters besides the ones I have created and placed into his wonderful world. That being said no hating or bad comments for they will be removed. Thank you and I hope you enjoy!

Dasia POV (Gonna be her for a little while so yeah...)

Have I ever mentioned how much I dislike dresses? Oh I have? Well then you already know my dislike for them yet here I am in Rivendell in along light blue dress which I can swear has a plot to kill me since I have already tripped over the darn thing like three times. For those of you wondering why I am at Rivendell well that's easy. Luna said we needed to come and here we are more or less against my will. Sighing I walk out onto the balcony and look out to Rivendell. It is very beautiful here. So peaceful and relaxing.

"Oh I wonder if he will come as well. What if the story changes? Oh dear what will we do then?" I hear Luna say in a matter of seconds as she starts pacing again.

Ok well it was peaceful. Sheesh, turning I look over at her and I can tell the King already had heart her no matter how much I wanted to deny it. He had better be a good little elf and show up here though something told me that he wouldn't. That feeling however I would hide in the depths of my soul far away from my dear sister.

"I am sure if King Thranduil can be here then he will be." I say trying to calm her down as I send a smile her way.

"That nearly killed you to say didn't it?" Luna asks me with a raised eye brow as she crosses her arms.

"I just want to see you happy even if it is with...him." I say as I look behind her and smile seeing a certain elf king looking right at her. "Well now that you have found him I will be on my way."

Smiling I turn and walk away from Luna and the King. Yes I didn't really trust him but I knew that he wouldn't hurt her on purpose...or so I hope. Just as I made my way inside I look to see a group of people walking somewhere. Just as I was about to follow them I feel someone take my hand. Surprising me I turn to find Orophin and Haldir shake their heads letting me know not to follow.

"That's for the fellowship, I don't think you should follow them." Haldir says with a strong tone as if he were trying to intimidate me.

"Since when do you dictate my actions Haldir? I already know more than you think." I say and then a split second later realize what I said and quickly cover my mouth.

Oops, why in the world did I have to say that? Haldir now looks at me with a raised eye brow. Great that's all I need a stubborn elf who now probably wants to have a talk with me. Looking to Orophin I can see he is not watching me but instead his brother. Oh dear I had to put my foot in my mouth didn't I? Haldir takes my free hand and tries to pull me but Orophin pulls the opposite way. Hey I am not a stretch toy here!

"Orophin release her, I would like to have a word with the elleth." Haldir speaks in a scarly calm voice to Orophin.

Gulping I look to Orophin who now just looks angry. "No, I suggest you go find another elleth if she will speak to anyone then it would be me." Orophin says as his eyes narrow.

Looking between them I didn't know what to do. Haldir was scary but Orophin could be scary as well. Still if I had to save Haldir I knew I had to get him on my side. Would this be a way to get him to trust me? Rumil then ran forward and looked at the scene before him and shook his head.

"You two release the kind elleth.  Orophin you are needed with one of the advisors." Rumil says as he stares his brother down.

Reluctantly Orophin released my hand and without another word he turned and walked away from us with Rumil close behind him. Something told me I was going to regret what just happened there. Still I felt another tug that nearly sent me tumbling as I look to Haldir.

"My limbs do come off and not in a good way! Stop pull me like a doll for I can guarantee you I am not one!" I yell at him trying to yank my hand out of his grasp.

Instead of listening he kept pulling like any stubborn elf would. Finally we reached a room and he pushed me inside. All kinds of red flags went up in my mind. Still I was released and ran to the nearest corner trying to keep my distance from him.

"What do you know then elleth?" Haldir asks almost in a very scary sinister way.

"Haldir? You are scaring me. All I know is there is a council about some ring. That is all I swear." I tell him and to be honest that was the truth I really only remember that part of the movie at this moment.

"Are you lying to me? I do not take kindly to liars!" Haldir says growing closer and closer to me.

"I don't take kindly to people who abuse their friends! Like you are doing to me! I told you that was all I knew and you should believe me!" I yell at him trying to stand my ground.

Haldir stopped for a moment and looked at me confused. He could clearly see I was shaking and scared half out of my mind. Yes I tried to be strong but at this point I was ready to break down and cry. Haldir reached his arm out to me and I whimpered afraid he might hurt me but instead I felt a warmth surround my body. Looking up I was confused and surprised to see he was hugging me.

"Forgive me, I did not mean to frighten you. I only wanted to know all that you did." he tells me as he holds me close to him.

Everything I know? Oh boy which part? How you don't die in the book but you do in the movie and I don't know which part will happen in this time. Needless to say I was the one who didn't know what to say now. Instead of pushing him away like I know I should I nodded and hugged him back. Oh dear what if Orophin saw us like this? Right at the end of my though Haldir pulls away and then pulls me back into the hall to see grand doors open. Surprising me yet again, I see Hobbits walk out, elves a wizards and then a certain very familiar elf Prince who just happened to look my way.

"Dasia." Legolas calls out to me as he walks out way. "What are you doing here?"

"Luna requested we be here and I am pretty sure she is speaking with your father at this very moment. What about you Prince Legolas?" I ask him already knowing the answer to that question.

"Well I am now part of the fellowship, I journey with Frodo and many other to destroy the ring." Legolas tells me as he stands tall with his full pride showing.

Right, still I really think the eagle idea I had would have been SO much easier and saved SO much time. Then again I'm not the writer so what do I know? Nodding I look to Haldir who narrows his eyes at Legolas.

"What of you Haldir? Why have you journeyed to Rivendell?" Legolas asks looking him over.

"He came with us, as well as Rumil and Orophin." I say as I now stand tall beside Haldir.

Legolas doesn't seem to like my answer but nods and turns on his heel walking away from us. I barely have time to relax when I feel someone touch my shoulder. Jumping I turn and see Orophin smiling at me. I should have known he would do something like that. Elves and their super silent walking.

"Don't worry it's just me." Orophin said with a chuckle. "Dasia where is your sister?"

Oh right, I left Luna with the bi polar King. Well I wish her good luck with that and I might even say a prayer for her. I grab Orophin hand and start to walk with him.
