Dasia POV  (Sorry if that disappoints any of you)

Waking up the next morning I was surprised to see Luna inside my room pacing. Usually she only did that when she was super nervous or upset. Still even with one eye open it wasn't hard to tell something was bothering her. First thought that came to my mind was that she was still worried over that king...heaven help me if that were the case. Sighing I tried to pull myself up from the bed.

"Finally you're awake! How can you sleep at a time like this?" Luna says coming and kneeling before me giving me just enough shock to make me jump and fall out of bed.

"This better be good, what occasion was I sleeping through dear sister?" I question as I raise my head from the floor and look to her.

"There is to be a meeting of somesort at Lord Elrond's." Luna says as she begins to pace again.

"Right...and your point is?" I say as I lift myself up and try to hold back a yawn.

"I think we are at the beginning of the long journey of the ring, this is where it starts with Frodo." she says as she stops right in her tracks and looks at me dead serious.

Right, man I really should have paid more attention to that darn movie! Who in the heck is Frodo?! If I said that to her though only god knows what reaction I would get in return. Sheesh either way I knew this wouldn't end well for me. Finally I stand in front of her and put my hands on her shoulder to calm her down.

"Alright, you know everything about this try and keep it short, sweet and to the point." I tell her as she begins to explain the whole story to me.

Three hours later, I sit in the chair I have been sitting in for far too long just staring at my sister trying to comprehend what the heck she is telling me. One ring...evil...short guys has to destroy it...elves...dwarfs...wizards. Wow the writer had to have had an active imagination. Either way by the time she stops is about now.

"Destroying the ring forever." she finishes with a sigh. "Did you get all that?"

"What I don't understand is why they didn't just take an eagle fly above the lava thing and drop it in. Seems like it would save a lot of trouble...and lives for that matter." I reply just giving my opinion but the look she gives me may be a look of certain death.

"That's all you got out of that? What about Haldir we have to save him and make sure the others stay safe." Luna distresses as she begins to shake me.

"Hey! What do you expect me to do?! He's an elf! They are quite stubborn if you haven't noticed!" I reply just as the door opens and there stands Haldir with a weird look on his face, talk about awkward.

"Are you two alright? Thought I heard a ruckus." Haldir says looking the both of us over.

A ruckus ha! He probably just stopped a murder all because I was honest. See and who says honesty is the best policy because I highly disagree! Just after finishing that thought Luna gives me a mighty shove forward...right into Haldir. Great now what in the world do I say?

"You really are a clumsy elleth." Haldir says looking down at me.

"Ha you have no idea." I reply with a roll of my eyes as he helps me stand up.

"Orophin was wondering how long you would sleep, he and Rumil are training. I suppose you have heard of the council though as well in Rivendell?" Haldir asks and all we do is nod.

Luna then covers her faces and walks out as if trying to hold back tears. Smooth sis, real smooth. Haldir looks at me utterly confused and now of course I have to lie to the friendly yet annoyingly stubborn elf before me. You know the actor that plaid him wasn't bad looking. Well there went my train of thought.

"She's just missing someone, you can guess who I mean." I say with a shrug an dHaldir seems to understand what I am saying for he nods his head in reply.

"Dasia? May I ask you something?" Haldir says making me do a double take at him. "Have you ever wondered what was in store for your life?"

Resist the urge to roll eyes since now you know his story...and his death. Well dang it now I feel bad looking at him knowing he will die. Could I stop that though? I mean really? What in the world would I have to do? I mean he knows I truly like ok I mean love Orophin but what if I had to do something drastic. Maybe I am thinking about this too much.

"A part of me has I suppose, why do you ask?" I answer his question with my own.

"No particular reason-" he starts but I give him the glare that says 'You better not try lying to me elf.' "I wonder if I knew all along you sister would eventually leave, even without her own siblings at that."

Oh wow, when Elves fall in love they do hard. Where was the other elleth he was talking to though? She was kind and sweet to him so why is he still thinking about my sister? This made no sense to me but for some reason I decided to play along.

"My sister left for her own reasons, I know deep inside my heart Haldir that you will find happiness. I swear to you." I tell him as I put my hand to my heart and try to give him my best smile.

"Come we had better find Orophin." he says escorting me out of my talan and heading to the training feilds.

Ok now options to save Haldir...oh come on not one? I need to think long and hard about this that was when Luna returns for answers and I know that she will, I will be able to give her a good and honest answer.
